Breakfast with Gary and Tim. Hi everyone, welcome, great to have you with us. It's Thursday, September 10th at the 10th at the Isma Cafe. Men, you try Mikafe's new drinks range. What about this, the Commissioner Mike Shea and in the studio from Aida Cox. Sammy had been with all the news. He's in early from 730. Corey Mabiliot from Champion Data, set you up for the big semi-final weekend. Georgie Samioski, your bottle of wine ready for tomorrow and the NFL and then the finals. Johnny from Epping, fight up. Questions without notice. That's, whoop, the pussy's bow, that's our full-that show is. Welcome you, we're supposed to. Good morning, Gary. Good morning everybody. That's one hell of a show. Good work, buddy, putting all that together. Nice work for me. Problem, at all. I'm happy to be your assistance. And the countdown is on. This time tomorrow we'll be getting ready for the NFL. What do you think? I tell you, I've been caught. I haven't been caught on the hop, but I've been blown away by how big this game has become

and continues to get bigger and bigger and bigger. The NFL game, the 49ers of the Rams aren't even here. They're on their way. MCG's going nuts. There's parties, there's functions, there's people preening themselves and around town. You've got a ticket to the game tomorrow. I've never seen you more excited about it. What are you going to go with tomorrow? What, what, what are you going with? I'm a 49ers man tomorrow. So I'm going all red. I'm going to be dick there. What, red pan? Everything. You've got Johnny from Flannel to get you a nice set up. A hundred percent I have. Have you? And I've bought the cap yet. I'm just going to get myself a nice 49ers cap. Somebody just said this three messages just come through. Well, the Rams have just landed. Have they? QFA 380, flight just landed. I'm going to go. You can be down there, Nimzy. You should be down there with these little portable tape recorder. Why, isn't he? He's down there, Nimzy being a nice interview with Miles Garrett. As he gets off the plane. Ram. Can you make the noise of a ram? Ram. Ram.

Good morning, Gary. We're checking in. Seeing today is, are you okay, Dave? You're a good friend and mate Andy from Trilgan. Good on Andy. That's a very nice way to start the day. And it's a great opportunity to remind it to check in with someone just to give him a call. Should have a message. Are you okay? Are you okay? Great message. That is a great message. There are people out there. There are so many text messages that are just arrived in the last one and a half minutes, saying that the rams have just landed. Have these people, are you out there? Have you ever been following their flight all night? Yeah, 602. They've literally, it's now 603-33. They landed at 602. So they're literally a minute and a half ago. That's right. I just wonder whether or not these people have been up all night. You know how you can actually watch the flight now. You can log on and you can actually view the flight as they're coming. I wonder whether they're people out there are mad rams fans here in Melbourne. They've been watching the flight all night. I wonder if they got the 1116. You know, they're big fat headphones that they rock when they walk off the plane. So yes, they might be listening a bit of a, a bit of GNT for breakfast. I think so.

Are they staying on American time? I've read that so much. Cool. Now, man, Phil Murphy, the ESPN man, we had on AFL 360 last night. He said they're going to stay on American time. They're going to get through the day, have a sleep. They can wake up at 10 a breakfast, have breakfast at 10 o'clock tonight. Yep. Hit and run, though. A hit and run mission. What would it cost? This is the most expensive plane that you can charter, the A380. What do you reckon? The ballpark figure. What it would cost to fly out here and then return flight. No, no, no, got me. They just give me a ballpark. No, no. Because I'll go to chat GP to, and I'll ask you how much it costs. Two or three minutes. They put this to the, the 49ers as well. On the bug turn, he said, one, we charter three. We get to get equipment across and all sorts of stuff. They brought the equipment as well. I thought that was all being said. Yeah, that came on boat. He lost it. He lost it. Okay, how much does it cost? Yeah, the widths on the easy little fat fingers are ferociously typing.

As you do, I'll get through some of our stuff that we're going to talk about today. It is incredible that the NFL has just captured the amount. Not everyone, by the way. There's a lot of people who text you and say, they couldn't give it tinker's cuss. That's okay, but you have to acknowledge how big an event it is and how it's taken over Melbourne. The NFL will be in Kiston, the proverbial, because there's no NFL games here in Melbourne town. All the focus from the 40 side will be up in, or over in Perth and up in Brisbane. Heading over there for the Perth game, I cannot wait. It's the most, this is the game I'm looking forward to most for the year. Yes, me too, me too. You weren't, you weren't that far off. About 2.3 to 2.8 million dollars Australian to hire it, to charter it one way. So what's that? If you double say 2.5, so there's 5 million Australian there and back. Yep. Who forks out for that? Are you a government or the NFL? Well, we had to pay for the rights to stage the game.

And then I don't know what all the other Associated Costs would be. Would you then have to pay, the game would have to pay would they not? The NFL would have to pay to bring about here. That I have to work with. Who gets a gauge risk? That I have to work. So I know is that I walked around that precinct yesterday. Pumping. And it is a massive, it's all locked down. There's a ringer still around sort of the tennis center ground there. All the way around to the MCG, there's activities. Activations, they called. The city is alive. It is. Did you hear that, was it the CIR that was with Jared yesterday? Yes. I can't remember his name, but he said for their home games over there in America, 20% of every home crowd, it's a first experience for that fan. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's amazing, isn't it? El Guido. Yeah, one fifth to the crowd there. His name is not El Guido, it's Al. Al? Not in like El Chapo. No, not El Guido.

Al. El Guido. Not a, not a I. No. No, no. El Guido. Are you sure about that? Well, that's what Brooktold. That is extraordinary. So, I wonder whether, like the information that he had about his team, the average AFL CIO, do you think that they would be loaded with the information that he was able to spell just today? No, no. But he was very impressive, wasn't he? About our game. About our fan base. Have any of us until he made it? He was unbelievably impressed. Very impressive. So they're all in town. Everyone's coming to town for this game. All the heavy hitters, all the big celebrities are wandering in. All those that like to be seen. They like to be seen at these big events. And you're one of them. It's an event. Don't pretend you're not. I'm going. You're going to be seen. You're going to, you told me how excited you are. Yeah, and I'm excited to go. Yeah, you're excited. Now that's the right thing. And you're going to be rubbing shoulders. No, no, no, no. Said you're going to be rubbing shoulders with push ahead. You said to me, and I quote, by the end of this game, me and P.

Push ahead, Pete will be the tightest you've ever seen two bugs. That's what you said to me, didn't you? You did, you say that all right. Yeah, and you said this. I don't want to say I'm shaping, I fell. I am shaping the way the game looks. I single-handedly brought back origin. I didn't say that. And now there's a new thing called a Garrity Time, whereby the quarters will be 20 minutes no time on. And Wisp, and this is what you said, Wisp, it all started here with the Garrity. This is basically what you're talking about. This is much clearly last night on the Agendas. I think there's a whirlwind in this new fixture we see 24 games. I'll never home, I'll never away, a gather round match. And then another match becomes forwarding. So teams can take that game to Tazzy, Alice Springs down. And these are the things being discussed. And on the shorter quarters, I think it's inevitable. I think fans hate the thought of it. They hate less content. I think we're going back, whether it's this year or next, when Tazzy enters the competition, we'll see less than 20 minutes and time on into the OFL. Now, welcome to the discussion there, Miss O'Hara.

And you are going to be shorter games. You're going to be the most unpopular person in this country if this is introduced. Are they going to get more games? You're going to get more games, more actual games, but you're going to get shorter games. No, but you're already going to get more games. They're all going to be shorter. They're all going to be shorter. Yeah, it should be. I don't think you understand Gary. There are people out there listening right now that live for the 46. I know that. And they go to the garbage. And they don't want the game to end you on the other hand. You want to start ushering people out at half time when you're out enough. Do you know there are things that have been named after individuals? Like there's the Duckworth Lewis system for cricket. There's the Fosbury flop. That was after Dick Fosbury. Fosbury. There's the Croft, the Hale and Croft turn, which is the deceptive change of direction. They call it the Croft turn in the world game. And now there will be the Garry game time. That's a feather in your cap. I might be in my name, but of course it will.

It'll be a shorter condensed game and that it's a great thing. It'll be a great thing to keep the interest up. I'll order attention spans with the world changing. I agree with that. I agree with that. I'm talking about shorter attention spans. The US Open Quarter Final, but showing Elkres and Ben Shelton. Shelton end up winning, which I thought was unbelievable in itself. It finished at 3.33 AM. What time did it start? They have to start before midnight, don't they? Yeah, well, there's a time by which they have to start otherwise. Four hours and 20 minutes. So it started somewhere around up, past 10 or 11 o'clock, somewhere like that. There was a long day. A lot of the tennis went the full five sets. But they reckon, display reckons that they had a photo of the cleaners mopping the stadium as the game was still being played. Was there anyone still there watching? Yeah, there's quite a bit. Well, there's a look off in the photo. I thought it looked to be awful. I'm 54 years of age.

I've been supporting the 49ers since I was eight. I missed out on a ticket first round, but on re-release I got a great ticket to the game and can't bloody wait to go and throw that. Bang, bang, nineer, gang. That's from Mark and Vermont. Yep. Who's your main man that you'll be supporting when you're there? Me? Yeah. No, well, 49ers. I'm just paricking for the 49ers. Yeah, but you got that. Yeah, well, the, yeah, Brock Purdy, the quarterback. Oh, yes. George Kittle. I like George Kittle, actually. He's a bit of a character. You saw George. Did George was on the... George, he was on the docker. He was on that docker. Yeah, he's a real character. I got to know George really well through the, by the docker. He's a character. Christian McCaffrey. He was the glamour boy coming out of college. Yeah, he's a great running man. He's a star as well. So I didn't know Miles Garrett was so like... He only used just a ride though. What? As Miles Garrett's just been recruited, hasn't he? Well, Phil, I'll make Phil Murphy said that the players, the 100 players voted and he was voted as the number one player. Yes.

He's a beast. He's a beast. He is a beast. Yep, an absolute beast. Saviour abuse for me about the shorter games. No, no, no, no, no. Okay. The abuse washes right over the top of me. You send him through if it makes you... If it gives you a little woody in the morning by abusing me about thinking the game should be shorter, knock yourself out. It just washes right over the top. I enjoyed the introduction for Simo last time in 360. I call him Lord Simpson now. I'll six dogs. He's been in charge of the recruiting there with the six dogs. They're funny, they're a funny looking bunch. I think Mr Simpson is in control of the dogs, Whisker. But he's... I wouldn't put him in charge of... He gets another coaching job. I wouldn't put him in charge of recruiting based on... Why are you reckon there in Uglyland? Oh, there are a mothly looking lot of dogs. LAUGHTER Good day, Simo here. Welcome to the coach's corner. There he is, I don't know what... He's bet he'll be in here today, so where you can take it up with him. But I'm not sure what path he's going down.

All I do know is horse was like, one of those grey hands. You know when you go to the grey hand race and the grey hands are in the box and they can hear the lure coming and they start pouring at the ground and they start headbutting the gate because they can hear the lure. That was what a horse was like. He was sitting there waiting to get on so we could have a crack at Simo about his stupid video. Did he want to join in, did he? He was very keen to join in. Anyone that listens to this programme will know that Claude has become a huge factor in Gary's life. I've noticed something though, since Claude entered your life, things are starting to go horribly wrong. Just had one last. I got an emergency call from you yesterday. Well, no, no. Yesterday, yesterday, that... Oh, Wisk, can you fix this? Why don't you get your new buddy Claude to fix everything? Just trying to get organized. Don't worry about Claude fixing it for me. I've got it straight onto the Wispy, where? I've got to go away. I'm on my own in the minute, so I had no assistance. I've got to get everything organized at the go-to-work yesterday. Car breaks down on the way to work. I'm driving up the hill at the main road

as you go up the hill towards the botanical hotel and you're going to go over the park. Anderson Street. No, and... Anyway, people know about this. I've got no power in my car. So I'm going about three kilometres an hour up this hill. I'm thinking, I'm going to start going backwards. I'm looking behind me. The cars are banking up. It's my worst situation. This is... That sounds like the G-Train's going in your car. Well, I wish I knew something about cars. It just limped to the top of the hill. I got there. And then I have to try and work out what's going on. So I've got to get the airport, I've got to get the Perth, I've got to get the Ego, Nikki's car's not here. I'm getting my head's blown up. I'm trying to prepare for a show. Then I'm trying to do some stuff on my account, on my banking, because I had to get something done and paid. Then my banking goes down. Oh, no. I think it's just a disaster. Well, in the middle of all that you called Whist. What call was I? Was I the first call? Number one. Did you speak to a caller before you spoke to me? I need to know. I need to check your phone. I had a house's number. Stored. But I didn't know where I'd stored it.

I didn't know what I'd stored it under. Anyway. Lucky our good friends at Kavalli, I'll come to the party. They're good friends at Kavalli. Saved my bacon. So thanks so much. And unfortunately Paul Haas was in Portugal. You were working in up in the middle of the night. He did. Ask him if he exists. Hang on a minute. I'm just, I'm in Portugal at the moment. Oh, he's a star. Come back and fix it. He's a star, star, star. Ah, anyway, that's where we're at right now. So that was a bit stressful. A bit stressful. Who did, I turned to you for help there. Who did you turn to when you got technology problems? Because you can't download your ticket. You might not be going to the, this is for everyone. Whisp, he says, brook, you're going to have to help me. I can't download my ticket. I won't be going to the gate. He said you couldn't download your ticket. I think there's a problem with the buffer. But they tickets, there's no problem. You just can't do it. There was a buffering issue. No, there wasn't.

No, it wasn't. There was a buffer. It goes, you go, oh, that's really complex. This is what I love the best. Can you help me and Brooke goes, Brooke's a producer, of course, everyone knows that. Yeah, Brooke goes, yeah, what do you want? I can't, I've got a download my ticket. It's in Brooke's house, yeah, right? And you go, oh, no, it's more complicated than that. You've got to put it in your wallet. Brooks go, yeah, okay. You want me to do it now? It's a new one. It's going to be an hour long process. It's a new one. It's a new wallet thing that Hatchy's devised, I think. Anyway, good on you. I'm happy for you. I'm excited for you. And I'm looking forward to Tuesday morning, hearing all about the game. And at about 7.30, I want to be able to say, and now we've got the WISF new bestie on the line, push ahead Pete. I'll tell you what, I'll get a selfie with push ahead Pete. And you've got to put it on your phone as your screensaver, okay? I'll do that. If you get an arm around selfie and comment, maybe a voice message for the charity from push ahead,

I'll do that. I'll give him to say, Rugby League. Rugby League. My wife Shane's joining us, Sammy Edmund, Corey, Georgie, Johnny, from Epic Not Far Away. We've got a very busy morning. And what is about to be one of the biggest couple of days on the sporting calendar in the history of this town? Breakfast with Gary and Tim. And I was born with man. The Rambler for Cobber Mustay. Australia's most awarded extra virgin olive oil. Broin, harvested and first cold pressed in Northern Victoria. You never know, Mick. You might not have to take a pay cut. Cut them in it short of the games, not become better. They might become more intense. You never might get a pay increase because the game's better. The TV right, money goes up, and away you go. That's all possible. Brett says, well, Garrett's not, Miles Garrett's not playing. The Rams kept him home to continue his training. I thought Donald's not playing. No, not according to what I'm reading right here, Brett. Miles Garrett's playing in Melbourne for the Los Angeles Rams season open against the 49ers.

You might have got Mike though. No, his players mixed up. Aaron Donald is not playing. I've just been sent a photo. What? Somebody was driving past Fox Studios yesterday. They've just sent me a photo of you standing, staring the hoodies up. You're standing there with your hands on your hips. Not one, Staring at your motor. What were you trying to do? When I finally limped in the car, finally limped in, I sat there and I just flustered. I just found out what I'm going to do. And I got out and pulled the hood. I just, I got, I walked in the front of the car, looked at it thinking, what am I doing? What are I think is going to happen now? I'm going to see some hose that are just disconnected itself. And I'd be able to just push it back in and everything would be right in the world. It's been a minute just with my arms crossed, look at it, look at it, look at it.

You've never been more useless than you've been right now in your whole new unit. There must be a mechanic out there somewhere. Just diagnose what the problem is for Gary. So the power just went, yes? Yeah. There's a noise. It sounds like the G-train. It does sound like the G-train. Good mechanic, you should be able to diagnose it from the noise. When I put the foot down and went, I think you've got a hole in your full-for valve. Mm. That's what it says. Thank you, that person, yes. Oh, Brett's, oh Brett's got his pliers mixed up. So Garrett's playing and Donald is staying back in LA. So that's okay. We don't mind. We all make mistakes, Brady. Yeah, we do. Yeah, we do. And the right thing to do when you've made one is to tell everybody that you've made one. But you, you on the other hand have been collecting receipts all morning. No, I only went with Miles Garrett because I'll make Tommy last night. He's, I'll feel, feel worthy. He said, the players voted on the best player in the game and he was the one that came out.

Because I asked him, give me a couple of players for our listeners. Oh, our viewers. Yes. So sort of hone in on and he said, Miles Garrett. Yes. Yes. No, I don't know anything about the NFL. Elijah Holland, he posted a very nice note. Elijah Holland. You know, we know the trials and tribulations that he's had to experience. He said, with the challenges being so public, one thing I have noticed is that I have been backed by the greater AFL community, which I will always be grateful for. So there's all the people out there that have been supporting him and he's not just talking about people in the industry. Now he's talking about the fans of the game that have embraced him too. So that's very nice. And we'll don't all those people out there that have given him a bit of kindness and a bit of love along the way. Yeah. And hopefully, I think he got involved back up in Aubrey, were donger in the footy and was sitting in the coach's box and coaching some of the under 14s. I think I read somewhere. So that's a nice way to get your mind back into footy. This guy out there, or this lady out there, says that sounds like you've done a turbo hose, Gary.

Well, that's what I was hoping to find. It's disconnected. I was hoping to find the turbo hose just swinging in the brew. So I could push it back in and all my problems would be fixed, but not the case. Maybe it's time for a Toyota Hilux whisper. Adam, yes indeed it would be too. Hi, Gazz mechanic here, try looking in the bonnet for hose that's come loose. So it might just be something very simple. I thought Adam, they might have been a swinging hose, but I couldn't see it. I spent a good minute. Hey, you were talked about the last year. Could you get in there to see prologue? No, because I've noticed engines have gotten tighter up here. I wanted one of those rolling things that you can lie down on and roll yourself under. So I could see what was going on. Underneath the engine. That's a fuel pump issue, Gazz. That's from Domo out there. He had a similar problem in a car, very similar to yours. All right. I don't know if you're having a big ticket item for me. The Cavalarlovoys will fix it for me. They will. It might be time to look at something else, maybe. How many cases have done? Lots.

I was going to turn it over, but I thought with the new, with the construction that I've got going on, I might need the old you just to throw a few things. Well, you'll need a utility vehicle or some kind. Badger. Badger is in summary. You know, I need, he could have diagnosed it for, I'll give you the noise one more time there. Badge. What do you think it is, Badge? It's a flux capacitor. It's a what? Flux capacitor. A flux capacitor. You sound like you got as much idea as me, Badger. So I appreciate the attempt to try and diagnose, but I'm not going back to the future. Now, that's just come through again. Sounds like a flux capacitor. He wasn't being silly. He was giving you a correct diagnosis. That just came through on the text as he was speaking. Sounds like a flux capacitor. That's all back to the future. Is it? Yes. I got no idea. Are you worse than me? It sounds like you might have done because this is the type of car you got. Max has diagnosed it. Sounds like a head gasket.

American? You've blown a gasket. Probably. Is that expensive, Max? I'll blow it on a few gags. What's your budget to have it fixed? I don't know. Just think I just would like to get a... I'm happy now. I'm back on the road. I've been a grander, a little lone car, which is nice. Did it feel like the noise was coming from inside because Scotty says the turbo hose is behind the front seat. Did it feel like it's behind you? No, didn't hear it. Did it feel like you might have been letting off a little bit of gas yourself? No, it felt very much coming from the engine part of the car. Right. I did pick it up with my ear. I've got a key, though. A very well-crained ear. Within a minute of driving, I thought, this is something wrong. This is something wrong. Well, you just reminded me of something else you did say during the ad-break, you see. Whisper. I think I've got a bond between you. I know. My hearing is unbelievable. Is it? I can walk into a house or walk into the car and know straight away with my ear. That's something's not quite. It might be a drip in a tap, in a bathroom way, way down.

I can pick it up like that. I mean, Claude's climbed inside your head. 630 new headlines. So we've got a busy show. Stay with us. We can have a lot of fun this morning.
