1:05Yeah, I did a thing yes, so for those that are wondering Rob did give channel members new emojis to use in the chat I've just learned that we are limited to seven yes we currently have seven and while I appreciate the hell out of everybody that is putting ideas in the chat for new more different Dore emojis we are at our max right now, but I'm willing to change because the the emojis we got so far for child members only For me I put a slimer in there. Yeah, definitely got a slimer and looks pretty darn good. I got the Simpson's beer Stine for every time we take a drink so those two kind of I think I sound like when when it's time to take a drink I wasn't ready for that sorry I might not be dropping the ball here, but every time we take a drink I originally had most face in there just doing the awkward smile

2:08But the beer sign kind of worked better so we have a Simpson's beer sign I put Daniel Bryan in there for yes just in case someone wants to agree with us although that's on that's on the borderline If we want to change that Neil before Zod's in there his face is in there. I feel like that's a good trivia one Yeah, that's gonna be great for trivia Yeah, a little box with an exclamation mark for unboxing. 16:47I saw backs as a list and I was kind of on on the same order Gb Gb1, gb2 and then but the the sequels are tied for third I kind of like frozen empire a little bit more than the um Afterlife, but 2016 is fifth, but it's not as far down as what most people would put on it Yeah, there was a lot of rough things with that movie, but there were a lot of cool things with that movie too Things I really really wish if they had save time on doing the fifth running joke And just spend more time on some of the gadgets and the cool stuff the fight scenes the ghosts were really friggin awesome I just think it's just as a movie itself is just not as good as the other four, but it's still worth I believe it's still worth talking about and um, it's just Yeah, I think they got a little ahead of themselves with the jokes. 17:48um Before I go I would just like to ask Dave if he is enjoyed stirring the pot Uh, he always does. Yeah, spoiler alert. I know he is he is laughing right now. Yeah, he is a hundred percent of monster a Disturber of the shits as he will Um, yeah, so me my my list is gonna be very unsurprising Gb1, gb2 afterlife frozen empire So kind of the order it came out in a yep totally um, and it's like nothing is ever going to To topple gb1 in terms of ghostpusters content. It is just unattainable. I mean uh, we wouldn't have All the other movies without gb1 a hundred percent Yeah, it just works so well. It's the same as a new hope for me in the Star Wars movies That is like an unsurpassable Just peek in the franchise and agreed. It's the reason why the franchise exists at all

18:51But he can't you can't say that are you saying that because it's first? It's it's the best? No Okay, I'm I'm saying it's I mean I guess yes and no Uh, it's it's the best because if it wasn't we wouldn't have the other movies Mm-hmm But it's also it is to me the best of the four movies it's It's tight. It's super funny. I mean we've been over this ad nauseam, but it is just you cannot make a better ghostbusters movie than the first one period um, and then two is more of the nostalgia thing for me because I grew up with it. It was In the same like when I was growing up it was the same level as gp1 for me. It's just more of the same So I didn't really like separate the two, but as I as I got older and and we started watching them again You can see like

19:52Yeah, too is a little more of like the the kid friendly variety It's it's still really good, but if you wanted to argue it it is Very mushy like a retelling of ghostbusters one with different Different bad guy more or less That's arguable, but I still enjoy it because it's it's really really just more of the same just not done quite as well or as tightly Um, and then don't get me wrong. I absolutely love to death after life I think that is pretty much as good as they were gonna get in terms of Trying to revitalize or like bring back the franchise. That was a great way to do it. I thought they did really well with it um, and yeah, I also like and to to reasepoint that you brought up earlier Uh, that does not mean that I dislike frozen empire whatsoever. I actually really like it. I think it's super fun uh, and All throughout filming there like it it their inspiration was a real ghostbusters, which is why we're here this evening

20:56And I totally agree with that and it feels like watching real ghostbusters, which I love Uh, and I'm actually not choosing to rank 2016 because it's it's as much a ghostbusters movie as baseball is a star wars movie Uh, it's it feels like a spoof um, and it's They tried to reboot it. I don't know why Uh, and yeah, it just I mean we have reviewed that movie. I made good on my word Oh wait, that was for love guru, which it was also painful. Yeah, that was But good on your word with the love guru. Yes. Uh, I did watch it robin. I reviewed it Whiskey was involved. That's all I'm gonna say go back and watch it if you want to see me talk about 2016 Um, I don't necessarily like disparaging things are being super negative But yeah, there's the shit server. 28:16We are talking about two episodes of real ghostbusters tonight Season two episode 21 the man who never reach home and season three episode nine Loth thy neighbor. I love that title Um, so first up season two episode 21 the man who never reach home written by Catherine and Drennan Uh, so it's season one and two this is in the Quote-on-Quote-Good area of real ghostbusters um How how did these just at a high level without getting into details? How did these two episodes compare uh reveal start with you the um i I think maybe slightly controversial. I think I like the second one and a little bit more That's totally fair. Uh, I'm excited to get into wine. Not that I disliked the first one, but awesome I appreciate that that caveat Rob how would you how do these two episodes compare for you without getting too much into the details after last two weeks

29:19Last two episodes. I've always I've been finding that the second episode's been more enjoyable than the first So for the first time I chose to watch the second episode first and the first episode second So and um I have more notes on the second episode than I do on the first and it wasn't just because I ran out of steam I just felt there was more to write about No, about just like reason to go episode or or the season three episode the i'm more know some I have more notes on the season three and But I still enjoyed both so i'm in the same boat as re Yeah, I tried something different today. I also enjoyed both of these episodes. They were a lot of fun We are gonna talk about the man who never reached home first Um Mr. Dole in the house bringing the knowledge that is the 40th anniversary of real ghostbusters Or real bust goasters this month um Red blue green yeah Yeah, that's such a great call out and it is excellent to see you, Mr. Dole um yeah, so

30:20Uh basically this episode is there's a In 1887 there's a man who's kind of a jerk leaving a tavern And the the the local tavern keeper is saying you know you you you just stay here tonight Yeah, you know It's too dangerous to go out right now and he is Basically what I assume is he curses himself being like if I don't make it home tonight I'll never make it home and then his horse's eyes glow and away he goes Um re how did you feel about the setup for for this episode? I I did not notice the horse's eyes glowing So I didn't really understand why he got cursed um, but that's cool You know like he really just jinxed himself really bad That's what I really bad Basically inadvertently it inadvertently cursed himself. Yeah Rob did you was that your read as well? I was a little confused um

31:22I was a little confused until the end like I think they could have I think for a kid show they could have actually had a little more blatant that he was cursed from the very beginning because it was reading to me like the Headless horseman story a little bit yeah, and then when you find out he it was him all along Ella Vader and Luke Skywalker. It was just kind of it wasn't for you rascally kids Yeah, it was just kind of like I wish they he had I mean as 1800s you wouldn't have any creepy witch or something like that But I wish there was something where he was kind of there was the curse was kind of laid out at the beginning a little bit And then he discovered it was himself. I think it still would have worked But it was yeah, I I know I'm going what it was after I was like okay that makes sense like kind of I kind of I yeah this is where where you and I differ a little bit Rob is I enjoyed that they didn't really Call attention to it You know how do you curse yourself? Oh, I'm not a witch. Well typically when there's a curse happening. It's usually some

32:25Gypsy or witch or some Wizard just putting a curse on somebody or there's an item that's cursed But here it was just like I'm really mean Yep, he's a man. Oh man Like he was just so Mean and evil that he just like manifested a curse for himself. Yep, or karma did it karma Yeah, that's karma right there. You will be cursed by a monster of your own making That's just yourself. Yeah, I like it Yeah, yeah, I I enjoyed that they didn't just over explain what the hell was going on though because it made it kind of spooky and mysterious And I appreciated it um Yeah, how how did you how did you both feel about the the big bad of the episode this like Headless horseman-esque character who wasn't headless Uh the masked horseman hooded. I don't know. Read how did you feel about the the big bad

33:29um Eh Like he was just a generic like kind of scary looking figure on a horse The entire time I thought it was like the headless horseman, but he got his head back or something Like I don't know um I had also written down like a little mini prediction Before the reveal Oh, I thought you predict I put watch it's just him from an alternate universe slash someone just wanting to help him get back home this whole time Wow So you were actually pretty much bang on with your first prediction kind of yeah wow so like I found the witch in this episode uh No, that's that's pretty great. I actually really like your your second prediction though That would have made for a cool episode as well. Yeah, cuz like because like his whole thing was like he just wanted to get home

34:30But he couldn't physically get home And then he also just magically had Coincidentally is someone following him Because I kind of extra spooky because he's oh he's he's a creep he's following me. Yeah But he's kind of a jerk and he wouldn't I think accept the help of just a rando right he's like er get out of my way I need to get home yeah Yeah, uh Yeah, we have the cloaked horseman or the horseless headman Our ideas were the name of this monster. He did have a horse though he did I like that idea the the head having horseman I don't know Maybe workshop that name I like it but not what keeps you keep workshop and help us out in the chat Got some some ideas. 35:31Rob how did you feel about the horseless headman? I I liked him. I didn't I didn't like the Head itself string it had two horn weird horns Um, it looked like it was made of paper mesh hair dough. I think if he had just a cloak I think I would have been totally fine. Just this purple cloak or something, but he was this odd Head thing with And I don't know it just wasn't quite working, but the rest was awesome. I mean the horse look cool the suit look cool The horse did look cool. Yeah, I totally agree. Maybe he was a little bit over designed Yeah, I'm I'm with you there like if it was just like a dude like a spooky dude on a spooky horse with a like a cloak like a Ring wraith from Lord of the Rings. That's like classic Like perfect Not over designed maybe some red eyes to throw in there totally yeah 100% But he had like two horns and then he had like this tuning fork. What's that superhero from from uh Who can speak it black bolt? Yeah, he had a tuning fork and then

36:33If you were not into the whole brevity thing. Yeah, it was kind of weird Yeah, I agree his design was a little weird I like the The concept that it's it's him. It's all is His like it's all his bad vibes. It's it's the the the mood slime manifesting as as a headless horseman Um or horse's headman You have mood meat before you left the place. Reveals start with you um Yeah, I I don't remember exactly what Was happening in the episode But it was when they were like I think it was like Peter was like sitting down and like talking To the ghost or someone I forget and like kind of arguing and then slimer like Peter Peter was like getting like kind of grumpy or like upset or something and then slimer like he loves to mirror So like he was also like grumpy and he was he was upside down with his arms crossed and it just looks so cute I Don't remember this setup for that either, but I do remember seeing slimer being funny in that scene. 44:59Yeah, he he actually ends up creating a lot of good just visual kind of blink and you miss it humor Just in him like his in his mirroring behavior. Yeah, yeah, I love that Rob how would you? Does he have any any memorable scenes or lines from this one? I'm surprised to read it and mention slimer in a pilots cap and goggles. That was the cutest thing ever I had that that was also on my list. That was adorable. Just pretty good. Yeah, I thought that was cute So on the acto 2. Yes, I hope that makes some back. Let me get it for you. And he pulls out a frying pan He should be the next ghostbuster ghost do not bother him. No At all and that's something I wanted to get into for sure is it I how did you you both feel about um The legend of Simon Quig The the the man who never reach home being just like a local harmless legend um like a like a locomotive that rockets past a farm in the middle of the night Read how did you feel about that just this being part of the local folklore? Simon Quig? Helping him basically reach home Uh, re start with you again Um, yeah, I liked it. 50:22They go find the ghost hunt the ghost down catch the ghost La la they save the day um, I do I do like uh That um I like that they did that Uh, I lost every single thought I had in my head, but I liked I like that they didn't you know, they didn't just trap a ghost they let him help him you know Break on through to the other bit rob how would you? I'm kind of glad like we've always talked about where ghosts go and uh they go to the the The ghost compactor the ghost compactor whatever and it's just like he would have been stuck there with all the other ghosts I would a freak that would freak them out if he hadn't died yet he you know he'd be dying again So I'm kind of glad that they made him pass or because I was expecting them to throw a trap underneath the the chasing ghost

51:23Uh the chasing horse and then yeah, then he could move on, but they balanced the force and I like that It's like poetry arrives. Yes, um, I like that raid does actually try and blast the Uh, some quick at first and it ends up screwing him really hard and they end up switching places Um, yeah, I enjoyed just the The reversal it up the stakes Uh for the ghost festers now it's one of their own that's that they need to to help Yeah, it was it was fun. I like when they they switch up the formula a little bit And it's not just them busting the ghosts of the week uh, yeah, this was a fun one for sure Um uh, we any other favorite scenes or favorite lines you wanted to bring up before we move on Um Slimer eating 24 burgers In a single sitting that that was funny as well. I love yeah, it rages marches him out Just a tray of burgers and just be like entertain yourself for a bit and we'll be back

Let me get it for you and the next scene we see The diner cook actually chasing slimer around with frying pan

53:30Get you yeah, that was pretty funny. Uh, yeah, this guy was fearless. They should absolutely recruit him Um, okay, anything else for the man who never reached home before I rate this thing and move on No, I got nothing. It was a good episode um, yeah, it's one of the better ones uh that we've watched from season two, I think so oh Interesting. Yeah, all right Uh We'll we'll we'll get to that in a moment Uh re if you had to rate this thing what uh what rating would you give it? I would give it Six crumbs from slimer's uh platter burgers It's not where you I thought you were they were gonna come from uh six out of ten uh, I love it. It had some good lines some good scenes for sure Yeah, six out of ten overall With that said let's move on to our second episode of the evening season three episode nine Loath by neighbor Uh says was written by Michael Reeves Um it is a season three episodes so we got our our beginnings of the the new cast just with Peter and Janine um Basically, this is scupi-doo meets the Adams family Uh, if you really want to get reductive about it with a hint of monsters Yeah, 100 percent it's all of this stuff. It felt very derivative of a lot of things Of a lot of these kind of haunted house tropes, but it's ghostmasters in a haunted house Uh, how how did you feel about that That kind of that that concept for an episode?

56:42I liked it a lot um, I knew you would I am a known uh classic scupi-doo cartoon and joyer so Absolutely and also I love the Adams family. I put eat Adams family In all caps bold underline oh Yeah, as one of my notes except the kids are the kids though were abnormally kind of normal looking except Well, I guess the daughter the son never mind. I wrote that before I saw the son Uh, it's fair But yeah, no, I I really like the concept Nice yeah, the daughter is where the monster is step in because if you've ever seen the tv show the monster is kind of normal Yeah, everybody says a Dracula. There's a this. There's a that and then all sudden the teenage girl is the normal one and she's the freak Yeah, I love it Uh, yeah, when when it it shaped up into being basically scupi-doo

57:43I thought of you immediately really like where he's gonna like this um, so Rob with with that said did did did that do anything for you for this episode or was it just like too cliche and derivative for you to enjoy it just overall You know, I was I was shaking a little bit of the uh, okay, this is the Adams family. Matt Tice the when the the man I saw the Gomez character I mean, he was a good name. He what was his name here? I got Mr. Macabre Bella Macabre Bella based on Bella Legosi after was soon. Yeah, I know but Macabre like Macabre The this the term so he's got right Macabre and the actor it was an archette which was really cool What's his name is Lewis Arquette? He's a you know the whole archette family Patricia Arquette all the Alex cat Yeah, so he was he was like He's comes from the archette family which is really because I recognize a voice immediately and I I went to a deep dive on On okay whose voices is I know this voice and I was like oh there it is

58:43But I mean the storyline itself. I was just it was fun. It was playful The animation was a little bit goof here and I think the animation itself. I'm gonna talk a lot about later later on But it's just like it's what kept me more intrigued and kept me right and notes on this one, but slimer did piss me off He was actually a little bit over the top on this one You're what you're muted by the way Uh, yeah, uh, how how so I would like you to elaborate on slimer uh, remember what we talked about like the Ghostbusters holiday special Yeah Like all the time. All of a sudden he's in this little situation. He's in that situation. He's just it was sight slimer slimer slimer, it's just like kids like we could you please keep it down and watching TV and we're trying to solve a mystery for crying out loud So it was just a lot it was just a lot of slimer That's fair

59:43Really how did you feel about the slimer content in this episode? It's you know post season two I forget timeline not wise when they really started like Leading heavily into it being all about slimer. Yeah, so I kind of figured it would be like that But as the president of the slimer fan club He's just a baby. He's just a dumb little baby There's time he was just hovering constantly and it the like a little bit of the animation like at the dinner table He was just hovering he was was odd and there was a lot of like Wigglingness in this yeah, that's a great way of saying wigglingness. Yeah, especially with hot Him because he has you have to give the movement of hovering and floating, but it was just like Yeah So I

1:00:44And this this was kind of a strange one because the ghost muster basically get hired by the Adams family slash the monsters to Catch a ghost in their their house which felt Very odd to me that they would be I Guess that they would be like doing house calls not Not that's much of them doing house calls, but that the basically the ghost musters Adams family is not okay with a ghost Taking up reverent Residents in their home She felt odd to me. Yeah, that picture moves that picture moves. There's a skeleton. Yeah, but that ghost has got to go Exactly that's exactly it and they they played it. There's a lot of gags That kind of reference that that weird juxtaposition in this episode I've got a couple tracked. I'm curious because I'm sure you guys noticed as well But I

1:01:45We've covered the basic gist of it. I want to jump right into favorite scenes and favorite lines Reel will start with you. What do you got for us in terms of favorite scenes or lines? I liked slimer introducing himself to the family dog slash beast named patchwork patchwork It was cute. I yeah, I enjoyed the noises that patchwork made. Yeah Very like pretty much it. Yeah Was that dog bulldogs Where they just kind of like like they have like the smush face so they're like breathing is messed up So they just make like crazy sounds Like they're like snorting like screaming all the time. Yeah. Yeah, yeah This is the jowls slapping yeah, yeah, I liked it. Yeah, that was a that was a really cute scene. I enjoyed it Rob how would you what do you go first for this episode? Animation scene at 17 minutes and 17 seconds is right here. I don't know what's going on there

1:02:49But they look damn happy Except for slimer slimer's one freaking out. I mean Like Winston what's going on with an impure Winston looks like he's a 10-year-old Venkman's pissed himself and I Guess Vinc egon's found more spores molds and funguses and it's just slimer's the only one that understands the situation in this whole thing It's the animation was so weird in this one, but it kind of made me laugh But that that that scene right and they held on to this scene for a good three seconds And it was the blinking of I will actually put pop it back a little bit here because it was a blinking of Winston that that caught my that made me laugh Watch he just constantly blinks. Oh It's so weird like he's Way too fast. Yeah, it's a that's a hovering thing And now he just looks like he's high, but it's just like it was so funny because he was the blinking the eyes like he was surely temple It was so funny. It looks like they have all been smoking some of the tree mold

1:03:53I I froze it in unfortunate moment there. Yeah, that is unfortunate for sure But I mean you you push play on it and it doesn't get much better. No um Yeah, I did so I referenced some of the jokes related to them Basically trying to find a ghost in the Adams family home my favorite one Uh was when egon was actually asking mr. McCobb and Mrs. McCobb about the ghost itself And he asked him have you ever seen the entity? They're like no, but we've heard it and then you hear this really creepy laughter And like is that it? They're like no, that's just a cuckoo clock. Yeah That's good And then the hosts are shaking, but yeah, it uh you just jokes like that like they were They were right there. They had to take a few of them Uh re how would you Anything else from from this episode for you? Um, yeah, it was number one all the all the like the food names that they are being served

1:04:54Yes, um, but specifically I wrote on a couple, but specifically um The combination of slimer absolutely just loving the food And like just gulping it down no problem and then egon Collecting it for his spores molds fungus is collection. Yes. Yeah, I knew somebody would understand that reference Yeah, yeah, I enjoyed that yeah, he's just bagging it did slimer fart at one point I think Did like he I maybe I think he think he'd pass gas, but because they're all like oh slimer. Yeah, like he'd he'd definitely lit a rip Yeah, but he did it was a it was deadly, but silent I think or something like that or maybe he went wha Yeah, wasn't like a fart noise, but it was kind of like that stomach rumbling sort of like yeah noise interesting I did not clock that I might have to go back and watch this one again um what

1:05:56So for for for creepy food we had the spider hair fondue We had ancient tree mold Which I feel like was slimer's favorite and probably gave him the tooths let's be honest And then we had chocolate moose Uh and Peter's commentary on it was I think I chipped a tooth on one of the antlers meaning that Peter tried it Yeah Yeah, and it's moose Yes I assume it was just a little To eat still And started with the antlers like like a ding dong Yeah There was a there was a lot of really funny Adam's family ass jokes Yeah, there was there was also um There was a tea before the dinner wormwort tea wormwort tea I also wrote that one down that sounded very very witchy yeah, and

1:06:57I meant to look it up and I totally forgot I ran out of time. I don't know what I was curious if that's a real thing We're more uncertain is a real thing from wood wormwort is not I believe it was wasn't it Uh Or am I thinking st john's word I'm thinking to st john's word. Oh, yeah, yeah Which sounds just as gross for the record it does it does But yeah, VGA baby was thinking the same thing about patchwork uh the dog Remind me of muttley Dick dastardly sidekick from henna bear uh barbarra's wacky races 100% again this episode felt like it was just Barrowing from everything under the sun yeah And this was no exception to that Yeah, good call VJ um Re back to you. 1:08:00Up to you dealers choice um I don't think I had anything else written down For like a scene or a line. What did you think of the spooky vacuum cleaner? Uh, I kind of forgot about that there was a spooky vacuum cleaner. Yes. Oh There it was like made out of bones and stuff like that and it was self Self-guiding maybe it was It was a rumba before rumba's were think Yeah, pretty much it was a ghost roomba. There's great a booba A booba during the mule Yeah, right now amazing Yeah, uh, okay rum over to you sir. What what else have you got exhibit be your honor? And the animation court is Himbo eyes again What is it with vancman and they can never make him look not high or or just odd just extra creepy He looks like he's peeing on the back of uh egon's leg again

1:09:03Yeah again again, no because it was in the first one. I showed you now. He's doing on the other leg Is on the left side is his left side but it's just like The the himbo eyes are so goofy in this one So I thought that was funny as well That made me laugh. I still I I want to do a t-shirt but no, he's gonna buy I would even buy it. I would I'm good. Yes Well, thank you. Thank you. Peter vancman. Himbo shirt. I would absolutely buy. I'll think about it. 1:10:04Uh, when so was not wrong and I enjoyed his commentary Um Rob anything else from you for this episode. I think I saw a reeseighting Right on the left hand side Like reese from Star Wars. I was laughing so hard because the ears the nose right and it had the two little things on top of the head Missing one eye he just missing that third eye, but I was laughing at the Oh, that's awesome. So I was I just made me giggle. I know it's not 10. I always distracted by granny dump truck The characters in this were just Like jarring like the main character was jarring Uh, the kids hair was jarring on the closes because I'm just everything's jarring every all the members of the family were It was just they were drawn really ugly and I appreciate that, but it was just like it was hard to look at sometimes. Yes Uh Let's see I got a couple other lines that I really enjoyed

1:11:05Um, when the the normal daughter is is showing them around says this is the ballroom and Peter says nice kind of reminds me of shaste adia Uh, yeah, that was a big ass ballroom Uh, I can't remember They were sticking around the mansion and someone says it looks quiet. I think Peter goes as long as it's not too quiet Uh, cuz yeah, I agree Quite is good too quiet not good Um, and also we got another book that Ray needs in his collection which I enjoyed the title of it was a copy of nameless horrors and what to do about them Uh, that was a good book title. I enjoyed that thoroughly. I did dig vankman karate kicking of the books when they were flying at him Yeah, doesn't even blast them. You just start throwing hands If they had used the proton packs in that library that place wouldn't went up and like burned babies are Burn all plays down. Yeah. That's yeah probably correct

1:12:08Yeah, you don't want to burn down the house of your paying clients down the house yeah Uh, Rob anything else from you for this episode? I've got exhibit Oh, your honor. It's uh, I the run okay, so this is a good thing. I appreciate it So the animation was so weird you saw the faces of vankman the gang. They was goofy was childish But the explosions were amazing the light show that was Animate super well and the best part was this one of Ray running now. I don't know first of all why Slimers they're running away from explosion slimers like trying to scare people. I don't know what's going on with that But watch this running Animation of Ray like that is kick ass fat like I think they spit up the animation. I think that's why they're That he's just running like hell. I love that animation because I think they sped that up look at that face Look at that face It was they sped up the animation and the explosion looked really good

1:13:12So I think they put all their budget towards the explosions and Rather than the animation of the people because it was just it was odd to look at there's points for Ray was looking down his his His proton wand like he had sights on it and this you know how it works, right?
