The repair shop on the BBC recently dropped a planned segment featuring a joke book from

the Lake Comedian Bob Monk House.

Producers decided against it after reviewing the full contents which included jokes they

felt were unsuitable for the family show.

The book arrived at the workshop bar and brought by Monk House's daughter and his long-time

comedy writing partner.

The team explained the issue to the family right away, returned the item without filming

and it never made it to air.

Bob Monk House was a stable on British television for decades until his death from prostate cancer

in 2003 at age 75.

His collection of joke books covers 25 years of material and has a bumpy history including

a theft in 1995.

Monk House even offered a 10,000 pound reward back then and the books were returned 18 months

later.

In his will, he specifically left the gag books, including handwritten and typewritten files

to his writing partner Colin Edmond's Free of Inheritance Tax.

Edmond's and Monk House's management team have stayed quiet on the scrapped episode.

The repair shop has still restored plenty of celebrity treasures like Roll Dolls Garden

Gate and a dress from Danny LaRue, keeping its charm alive for viewers.
