Welcome to the rewire podcast. I'm your host Ryan Stoeman and I'm here to rewire your mind for success
0:07
You were put on this planet for success. You were created to succeed
0:11
But the force of average is after you every single day my brothers and sisters and this podcast is the one thing
0:18
This design to help you fight the force of average and excel in every area of your life. We're glad that you're here
0:24
You know, I've changed a lot over the years
0:28
If you go back to 2008 2009 you look at my YouTube and Facebook. I dressed in clothes from coals and
0:36
Didn't cuss talk like Ned Flanders. Hey, diddly neighbor
0:39
I was kind of just trying to find out who the fuck Ryan was at that time
0:44
Ryan was embarrassed
0:45
He had some felonies and that he was you know working a job and and the economy was struggling a little bit back in 2008
0:52
I was fresh out of prison 2010 through 2012. I'm trying to discover myself as an entrepreneur
0:59
I barely kept my hair cut. I wasn't taking care of my physical appearance that well
1:03
I was working 50 hour days. That's how we got 48 seven 48 hours a day seven days a week
1:08
Man, it was absolutely crazy and in 2014 one day I did a podcast and I just kind of came out and owned all my shit
1:15
Now son, you know what now that I've owned everything. I'm just gonna be who I think I am
1:20
And I thought I was this loud mouth shit talking sales trainer
1:24
You know, and I started wearing short sleeve shirts to show off some of my tattoos that I had that I'd previously cover
1:30
And started cussing because that's how I am in real life anyway
1:34
At some point I got pretty famous all things considered and I wind up on stage with all these amazing people
1:40
And I realized that that's not the path that I wanted to go down
1:43
My path was never hey, I want to be famous. I want to be an influencer
1:47
It was I want to run a business impact people and change lives and a lot of you listen and think oh well
1:51
He runs a coaching business. I don't I'm not a coach. I haven't done that for a long time
1:56
We run a lending business and business association, which is like a membership portal with benefits behind it
2:02
As well as a software company in a real estate portfolio. So
2:05
Coaching is not something I do. I haven't done it for a little over a year
2:09
And so when when I say that it's like I never wanted to be that
2:13
It was just so many people asked me to coach them and I'm like, okay
2:16
Cool, so I did that for a couple years
2:17
But it wasn't me so many people asked me to speak on stage and I made great money doing both of those things
2:21
I don't regret it at all. I learned I met a lot of great people
2:24
But I realized that's not me. I hate it being away from my family
2:27
I got to go speak two or three days in a row at a conference in Vegas
2:30
Or maybe I got a fly out there the day before and have a meet and greet then speak and man
2:36
I don't like I don't like not sleeping in the bed next to Amy stuman
2:39
I don't like not kissing my kids before they go to bed
2:42
I don't like not waking up and hollering upstairs. Get up kids like I don't like I am a routine man that spent years of my life in prison
2:50
I'm very determined and very routine and I don't mind traveling places
2:54
But I didn't like doing it two or three times a week and then in 2022
2:58
I thought the world was gonna end so I bought this ranch and it reminded me of the small town
3:02
I grew up in the life that I used to live before I got caught up in all this city life
3:06
And I appreciate it so much more and I decided you know what it's time for another evolution of Ryan
3:12
I've had every Lamborghini
3:15
McLaren that I wanted every Lamborghini
3:17
I wanted to have had all these cars all these fancy this sat in the other in reality man
3:21
I want to be a guy with four wheelers tractors fish and poles, you know
3:25
Be able to take my friends hunting
3:27
Be able to raise my kids off the land
3:29
They'll know so much more than other kids when they're growing up
3:32
I've changed it you know
3:34
I you know I've realized that money's great and and I like it and I can always have more
3:38
There's never enough of it but family is what really I care the most about and my family
3:42
And I have the greatest times not in the Lamborghini or not in the Porsche that I drive
3:49
We have the greatest times on the back of a four wheeler. We've had
3:52
Far better times in the back of a four wheeler than we've had in the passenger seat of a Lamborghini
3:56
And with four kids these things don't serve me the way that they used to
4:00
Maybe again in the future at some point as my kids get older but right now SUVs and trucks fit our family better
4:07
Right now having a ranch with a bunch of tractors and cattle and deer and hogs and all that man that
4:12
That's that's not a flex, but that's who Ryan is and so if you see me out there and you think stewman's changing
4:19
You're right and I can guarantee you this this won't be the last evolution of change that I make either
4:24
And if you're not changing you should always be trying to change for the better
4:27
I'm always chasing the best version of myself. I highly recommend you do that as well
4:32
The best version of myself's being the best husband, father for my wife and kids and the best leader for my employees
4:37
And the best service for my clients. That's what I care about
