The Ripple Effects of Committing To Long Term Sobriety w/Nikki Thompson

Nikki is an incredible truth teller in long term sobriety who is on fire for Jesus. She and her husband started a celebrate recovery program in their community and are truly thriving and offering hope to so many who need it.

Between them they have 9 kids, a true his, hers and ours situation. Nikki said the key to her success in sobriety is to always remain teachable. She share how different seasons of their life and parenting have required different forms of strength. She replaced the unhealthy with new healthy habits helped her step into the beautiful role of wife and mother in a much better way. 

No matter how hard we try our choices that break relationships and trust have to be restored. The wreckage caused by active addiction is harmful to all. Like me, Nikki believes there’s not just one way to sobriety, we can all do it in different ways. 

Today she is trying to forage something that will have ripple effects for many generations. This is a beautiful conversation about the choices we have in thoughts, life and parenting. We both agree that living in the solution is where we get the most peace.
