The United States has not admitted any Christian refugees fleeing persecution over the last year. It's down from over 18,000 Christian refugees who were admitted in 2017, according to a report from Open Doors and World Relief. Compared to his first administration, the second Trump administration has deprioritized refugee resettlement for people suffering religious persecution. World Relief created a petition, which we have linked in our transcript today at TheWorldView.com. The petition calls for the US government to, quote, once again, prioritize Christians

1:04and other religious minorities, fleeing religious persecution, unquote. Evangelicals are now the largest religious group among young people in the historically Catholic nation of Brazil. The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics published new data from the country's 2022 census. Roman Catholicism remains the country's largest religion at 57%, but has been declining for decades. Evangelicals now represent nearly 27% of the population, and people who identify with no religion remain a minority, but are growing in Brazil. The US Census Bureau released a population report last month entitled, An Aging World 2025. The report found that people aged 65 and older make up about 11% of the world's 8.1 billion people. Meanwhile, children who are five years of age or under make up only 9% of the world's

2:10population. This means that there are more senior citizens than young children in the world for the first time on record, plunging fertility rates are behind this demographic change. Psalm 127 verse 3 is as applicable today as the day it was written. Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord. The fruit of the womb is a reward. A federal court ruled that Idaho can enforce its ban on most abortions. Idaho passed its Defense of Life Act in 2020. The state Supreme Court upheld the law back in 2023. However, a new law suits seeks to allow abortions in the state to supposedly protect the mother's so-called, health. Idaho Attorney General Raul Labrador said, quote, last month, a federal judge blocked Idaho from enforcing our pro-life laws. We appealed immediately, and today the 9th Circuit put that order unhold.

3:13Idaho can enforce the law again, while this case is heard, which means unborn children and their mothers in our state are protected under Idaho law. Global student performance is declining. Its artificial intelligence usage rises. The organization for economic cooperation and development surveyed over 760,000 students in 91 countries last year. Student performance continued to decline, especially in reading and math. Reading scores in the United States reached their lowest point in over two decades. The report found that students who used artificial intelligence for specific schoolwork tasks were outperformed by those who did not use AI. Speaking of AI, the Barna Group reports a rising concern about artificial intelligence misinterpreting scripture.

4:1474% of US adults are concerned about this. That figure rises to 83% among practicing Christians and 94% among pastors. When artificial intelligence is asked about theological disagreements, 60% of pastors say it should show all major interpretations, but not tell which is best. Meanwhile, practicing Christians are divided. 66% say that artificial intelligence should show the major interpretations and tell which is best. 20% say it should only show the most widely agreed upon interpretation. And 19% say AI should avoid interpreting these parts of theology. And finally, a Texas woman is giving thanks to God after turning 105. Linda Vidock was born in 1921. She celebrated her birthday this year surrounded by five generations of her family.

5:20Listen to her comments to Fox 26 Houston when asked about her longevity. I don't really have anything to do with it. The good Lord put me here for so many years. It's just like through me. I've always been very athletic, great tennis and swam all my life. I've got food which I preach to my kids and they still need junk food. And my grandkids and my great friends. The 105 year old lady also said, quote, I wonder every day when I wake up in the morning, this is another day, Lord, why am I here? Every day is a blessing. End quote. Lamentations three verses 22 and 23 says through the Lord's mercies, we are not consumed because his compassion failed on. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness.
