So there's lots of reasons to call 1-800-565-1064. 1-800-565-1064 or check out their website RoyalWindows.com. Let's head to the Jim's Razor Back Pizza Hotline. Tom Murphy's betwixt flights on his way to U-Car.
His Pat Bradley would say and he is joining us now to talk about his big game. We say Tom. That is a terrible connection. Let's try back. Oh wait. How does that do? How does that do? That's so much better. Yes. Yep. All right, Tom. So you're at DFW? That's correct. Okay. Excellent. Well, I hope you have a great rest of your trip. We're looking forward to this one. It is going to be a late start. Well, just from a logistics standpoint, what are you guys doing at the paper as far as turning stories around? Are we going to have anything when I open up my Sunday sports page on Sunday morning or do I have to go to the website? Well, that's a great question. I have not heard how late they'll hold to get it on the tablet. But obviously, you can hit hohawksport.com and find them online as soon as we can ride them up and get them edited and post them. So, but you know, lots of big covers from there. We got Hank going, shooting pictures, doing videos, the whole nine yards.
Yeah, what's going on? Well, I'm not going to say that it felt like a loss, but there were some pretty disappointed fans, I think. And look, head coach Ryan Silverfield was pretty disappointed in the performance last week. And I mean, I don't know. You got a chance to see him this week, Tom. I mean, just curious. I'm assuming he was in better spirits, you know, as the week wore on. But he was pretty down to seem like after the game the other day, and disappointed with what he saw offensively. He was. I mean, it's like as he kept saying, not up to the standard they want. You know, at least there's not video of him doing some kind of club, weird dance, you know, after beating whoever. Thank you, foot. We got some right there. Looks like we lost him. Oh, I'll try back real quick. Hold on. Come back. Come back. That happened sometimes when you're over there in DFW. Everybody's using their phone all at once. I'm sure they've got plenty of bandwidth there. What's wrong, Tom?
It happens. Maybe he had to go jump on the plane. Anyway, we'll talk to him again here in a second. Yeah, running around. Yeah. It does lead to some interesting moments, though, for people who are on deadlines. Yeah, yeah, that's for sure. Yeah, we were talking about our late show, but sorry, Tom. I may have clicked you off there on accident, but anyway, no club W were saying then what? What? Um, and yeah, I think he expects a lot more out of them. And I like that that, you know, and we're not satisfied. But then again, you get a W. Um, that's better than having an L, especially just North Alabama. So I think I predicted about an 18 point game. When I saw the original spread for this, I was really surprised. I thought it was low and I know it went up and then modified. But I just, you talked about a really polished attack. And I know they replaced their entire line, but I think they're big guys. If they're part of the system, there's a lot of retention in that program. And of course, the Morgan Scalad defense, they replaced a lot of guys.
But again, a lot of attention guys that have done it. So they're kind of a unified bill and all the factors bill against all that stuff. So I think I picked an 18 point spread. Okay, what's fair? How much do you expect it? I don't know how if coach talked about it. Do you expect the elevation and the late kick to be a factor tomorrow? Yeah, elevation. He didn't seem to be that concerned. Cause you know, faith builds around, I want to say 13, 1500 and out here or out there is going to be like 50, 500. So it's not massive, but you know, I'm going to see it probably with my bad lungs. But um, and then the kickoff time, maybe your body clocks are a little different, but I just think for 20 or all, there's not that big of a deal. What I want to see from the razor back, I want to see a more efficient offense and not as many plays that are just stuffed. I want to see some guys, you know, if they're shooting linebackers or they're shooting their safeties, I want Arkansas to get a hat to them and get some broken run plays.
And um, even that alone would be a improvement over last week. This offense that Utah runs is unique. Tom, we talked with the voice of the UTS today, Bill Riley about this. And I just don't know how many two quarterback systems we're going to be seeing from opponents this year. Now, I mean, it's not necessarily two quarterbacks on the field always at the same time, but they will be lining up two quarterbacks sometimes. They have a lot of weapons and they have usually more quarterbacks on the field than we might see throughout the season occasionally. And you know, I know the defense played well last week, but that's against a completely different style that you're going to face and also a team that can be very physical. Yeah, I mean, they've got a lot of speed and that big one guy that backed up quarterback, he might be faster than Dan Pierre. And in Dan Pierre, we know as a great runner. And then both the tailbacks, Parker and the freshman, Bill, they just bounce off people. And so Arkansas is going to have to gang tackle to begin with.
They're going to have to always keep in mind what's going on with shickling on the field because they do all that stuff with them quarterback throwbacks and all kind of things. And so I feel called this the fact that triple run. So there can be a dive the quarterback can keep it the quarterback and aclocking is running to the edge and maybe pitch. He can also pull up and throw. So they put pressure on you in so many ways that this is going to be a real test in week two for Arkansas. Tom Murphy joining us from the Arkansas Democrat Gazette. I mean, all right, so let's figure out here. If you're Arkansas, how you're going to be able to run the ball and ask me, Tom, let me ask you, is this a pass to run team or is this a run to pass team? Because I'm a little bit confused when I hear the coaches talk about how they want to establish the run. Well, we've got to establish the run in order to do that, we have to have a vertical passing
game. So I'm just not sure what happens first because we didn't necessarily see either of those happen against North Alabama. Right. And what happened in North Alabama was really cheating its safety. Just like cloud defense, back deep to make it hard to throw over and keep everything contained. And so they didn't really take any shots. I'm not sure if they consider themselves. I think they're still kind of figuring out their identity and they're not sure if they have to do one to set up the other. But obviously they work hand in glove. So you can beat a team deep and you keep pushing those safeties back. And Utah's going to, the Utah's going to blitz a lot. They're going to push the envelope to see if they can shake KJ up and not allow Arkansas to be shot. And then you just feel the constriction. You can't hit deep shots. You feel that because there's constantly linebacks and the safety is coming up into your run players. Well, it's all ordered to, you know, to be safe, I guess here.
And this is a game that, you know, I think a lot of people, a lot of people that penciled in as an L. But, you know, like we learned last week, I'm in the performance matters. And if it's a competitive game, people are going to feel a lot better even in a loss, I would say. In the same way, maybe this last week, they felt pretty bad after a win. So I hope it's a good game. I hope they play well. So I don't know what lots of clean up. Yeah, I think they're going to go up. They're really, yeah. I think just looking better is a big step. And looking better against an opponent like Utah is certainly going to be, you know, favorable for you because they just didn't look so good against the FCS, which was a little dumb-tounding. Yeah, you know, honestly, though, when you, when you look at and listen to Silverfield this week, his voice, some of the words I think he's chosen, even just going back to when Hunter handed him the game ball from his first win and the look in his face. It's, it's, I gotta be honest, he sounded a little bit discouraged this week. Yeah. Have you heard that, Tom?
I wouldn't attach discouraged to it, but he knows there's a lot of work to do. And he just wanted it to be a cleaner performance. And he really talked up those tackles, but, you know, Bruce Arden Williams did not have good games. And if you don't have good offensive tackles, you got big problems. Tom, I want to ask you about a couple of other things here. Hunter, your check spoke to a group yesterday with the hogs, illustrated sports club luncheon. And he is touting the fact that they've already raised eight and a half or eight point eight, excuse me, million a new revenue in the 20 days since they announced the receding plan. And it just hit me wrong, I guess. I don't know. I mean, there's a lot of people who are upset or frustrated. And I realize they need additional revenue. And I mean, maybe there are some people that are celebrating this, but it just, it feels a little yucky. I don't know for people who, uh, who got priced out of their seats or people who can afford to pay, you know, an extra 100 grand for their suite. They're probably not, I don't know how they feel about that.
I don't know. Just seem weird to me. I guess whatever, whatever we talk about, it just never sits right with me, even though it's an important part of the puzzle. Right. And, uh, yeah, it's an unfortunate deal that they just have to keep raising money and it falls on the back of your donors. I think I've got to go find my boarding pass. I'm right at the front now. Go get your thing. We'll talk to you later. All right, brother. See you tomorrow. Tell me. All right. There you go. Tell Murphy on his way to Utah. Man, that's some exciting, uh, exciting interview there. It's literally walking from one gate to the next. Yeah. Looking for it. Well, it's now looking for looking for your boarding pass on the phone that you're doing the interview on. It's a little bit different. And the Euruchek story is follow up here. This is a quote. This is all out of the Democratic is up, by the way. He said 5.75 million of the 8.8 was positioning gifts for suites, which are expected to experience turnover as part of the receding plan. So positioning gifts for suites is that straight up donations. Yeah.
In a letter, sweetholders were being asked for one time donation between 100,000, 400,000, bring them in line with the foundation priority point threshold. But it's a one time donation that's not every year. So it says, okay, says these costs coupled with increased ticket prices, a new minimum annual donation amounts required to retain suites left some suites holders with a year over your increase of around 250 to 800%. I was told from a friend of mine yesterday that some friends of theirs, some friends of theirs had a suite. They were paying 40 grand for and it went to 250 this year. I mean, it's just, it's just amazing. And again, you have to, I guess we've got the money and you want it bad enough, you'll pay it. And there are, if you don't, there's somebody else that will. But it is wild to me that there is that kind of jump in one year. I think you may be getting close, if not right at major league prices here. Yeah. I just searched it up. I mean, it rangers sweet, global, they've, and they got more suites obviously. But still 300,000 to over $700,000 for a year for a suite at Texas Rangers Games. So the donation level that you talk, which again, it's a one time donation,
which is like a PSL. Yeah. That's, that's big league prices right there. Yeah. What'd you say, Moose? Nothing. Ignore me. Okay. I can never tell. Tell people to stay out of the studio while we're working, unless they're fixing something. How did all get fixed? Is everything working right back there for you? We are very close. Close will take all right. First using grenades and radio. There you go. We're close to the red white report. In fact, it's going to happen right this second. So let's get to that. The red white report is brought to you by Orthon now. Your walk in solution for orthopedic care at the orthopedic and spine hospital at Uang M S Health. All right. Welcome to your red white report for a Friday September 11th, 2026. Game day tomorrow in Salt Lake City 915 kickoff. Here central time program. It begins five o'clock on 103 7 in the buzz with hog wild game day. Tomorrow. Lear field pregame will begin at six.
And then of course, the reaction show later on basically Sunday morning with Randy and everybody else. It's Arkansas number 20 Utah hogs. According to Oakland powered by Fandall is a 12 and a half point underdog currently. We were speaking a moment ago about 100 year of check. He spoke to the hogs illustrated lunch and yesterday. We've got a few sound bites from that. He spoke on a few topics, including the baseball program raising over $8.8 million in the weeks since the new seating program has began. And here is Hunter. You're a check on college sports being a business. College athletics has never been the best business model, right? We have we have 19 sports programs. And up until a few years ago, we had three that actually turned a profit. Now we have two that turn a profit. That's football and men's basketball. And the more we spend on NIL and football and men's basketball, the closer those sports are becoming to being net neutral. And so college athletics has always been a bad business model.
But we're having to run it more and more like a business because it's a professional organization. We've got a little outside of the higher education realm per se where you create an opportunities for young men and women. And you didn't worry as much about losing money on those sports. Of course, when it comes to funding each of these 19 sports, they're all funded completely differently. And decisions made across athletic departments have a lot to do with the expectations that match the funding. Hunter, you're a check also spoke on expectations matching the funding for a program. There's expectations that we set for each of our programs. And some of those expectations are set by what we're able to fund in that. And there's some coaches that are hold accountable to winning SEC and national championships. And there's some coaches that I don't hold accountable to winning SEC and national championships because I know how I funded this sport comparatively to other SEC programs. It sounded a little bit like you heard last year at the little rock touchdown club just said in different ways.
He also was asked. I mean, I found it interesting because this was something that happened in Northwest Arkansas. He was asked about the possibility of raise-back football returning to war memorial stadium. I'm smart enough to know that the governor appoints the board, that appoints the president, that appoints a chancellor that signs my contract. And so if the governor wants to do something, we're going to have a discussion about doing that. And Chancellor Robinson and I did go to little rock after that, met with the governor. But there's really no update on that. We don't have any games scheduled in the foreseeable future at War Memorial Stadium. Central Arkansas is incredibly important to us. We love the people there. We have great experiences. We go over there and we'll continue to go there in sports, such as men's basketball, baseball, women's basketball, soccer, softball, things of that nature. Just doesn't make great financial sense from the athletic directors chair to continue to play that game. But again, if the governor wants to open up that box again and have some further discussions,
I'll head back to little rock with Chancellor Robinson and we'll do so. I mean, the one thing we have, we've invested a lot of money into a raise-back stadium. We have 173 suites. We have about 10,000 club seats. You don't have those premium amenities over in little rock. And there's a significant money that's attached to every home game that we have. And not only we talk about concession sales records, merchandising sales records, things of that nature. That's all attributed to being able to put 60,000, 70,000 people in raise-back stadium six or seven times a year. Were you out all those words together into one word? The definition of that is no. That's the more efficient, yes, version of it. And nobody answers questions like that any longer. We'll move over to NFL football yesterday in Melbourne, Australia, the 49ers win 27 to 7. Couple of the raise-back's recorded numbers defensively. We had Bo Limmer starting on the offensive line for the Rams. I might like to forget about that. When Dre Greenlaw returned to the Niners after spending a year hurt with Denver six tackles in the win.
And you also had Cam Curl, of course, at safety for the Rams three tackles. One of them, Solo, it was a rough day though, in both aspects of the game for the 49ers. Hegan Smith made his first major league start yesterday. It was really more of an open E333 pitches. For the White Sox in a two-nothing loss against the Pittsburgh Pirates Smith, two innings, two little cheap singles. Struck out three batters did not allow a run. The next pitcher that took over, Eric Fettie, took the loss. Andrew Benin-Tendie also started that game for the White Sox. He finished 0 for three with a strikeout. His batting average down to 242. Arkansas soccer opened up the SEC portion of their schedule with a three-to-one win over number 19, Texas. So that's outstanding. And extends an unbeaten streak against the SEC at home to 27 matches. Goes back to 2020 and that is your red-length report for this Friday, November, the 11th, 2026. We're going to get Tiger back on. We've been making a lot of jokes about, you know, these judges and these local communities.
It's like, where was the ruling made? Well, right down the street from the school. Home town judges, right? Yeah, and it's like, okay, well, hey, LSU, you can do it every one. Hey, Texas, you can have it every one. Hey, guys, you're sure. Well, obviously, you know, you're going to give, not an Arkansas. Washington County Circuit Court Judge Matt Juret or Duret on Wednesday denied a request for preliminary injunction against the NCAA by University of Arkansas Women's Soccer Player, Mackenzie Malham. The ruling makes her ineligible for the razor backs. I mean, not only do we have all, you know, these issues competing, but even like the local judges are not excited with Arkansas players. I'm like, this is the most Arkansas thing ever. I'm like, go on, man, you're killing me. That says while did she sign a pro contractor or something? It was there. I don't know what they, I don't know if she, it says, uh, students are playing, but she's played in four games this season. She played two games through July 31st in Junction. I don't know her whole story. She graduated with a degree, uh,
moved home. Did you do? I don't know if it's like a number of years or if it's a pro contract thing. But regardless, I'm like, only an Arkansas man. They're like, nah, yeah, we're good. You're out. So this ends up affecting potentially other athletes on campus that are waiting to see whether or not they get eligibility, like Zach Stewart, the former baseball player. I don't know how this affects him. Yeah. Well, I hope, uh, hope you can find his way back because they could sure use him. All right, we got to hit a break at 1126. We'll get a try to get tiger on after the break. We've also got champs and chumps and we've got a special guest come by here a little bit later to talk about the, uh, a bike race here in, in, uh, this fine local community. So we'll do all that coming up. Uh, as we head in, let me tell you about our friends at LaVar Law. And we did see a pretty nasty accident on the way down there. Didn't we feel it took us a while to actually, it took it extra 15 minutes to get here. Yeah. There I think it was a dumb truck versus car. And I think you probably guess who won. And the car was pretty trash. I hope that the person was not hurt. But if you get hurt in a wreck, I'll say one thing you need to do. And that's called out on the bar for 30 years. That's right they did and I've got a couple from Texas. Lake Providence, Louisiana. I gotta take it there once. Oh you did? Yes sir. Same here. I don't know anyone to take care of a ticket. Well it was 15 years ago so it's okay. Oh yeah. Long since paid. Definitely no interest. Yeah that was the probably the last ticket I got I think. I hadn't had a discounting. Ten years. That's good. Yeah. I got one at the lows the other day they gave me a ticket. A ticket for what? Charging something. Okay. Okay. I got it. That's what I figured. You seem like a law-biting citizen. I am. Okay. I am. Yeah go ahead. All right. Well we're having catfish, chicken tenders, shrimp, hush puppies.
If you're not going to braid the weather and walk out here. But it looks like it's about to quit. I'll crawl my hands and knees and go out there and get some breath. Yeah I'll alternate. I'll bring you something. Okay. Crumb. Okay a crumb. A crumb. Good man. I trust that you know how to make do catfish the right way. Yeah. What do you put on your smart tiddle? What do you put on your... I eat it like it is with a little ketchup. Let's see it. Catch up. Catch up. You guys in your ketchup. What do you do with a hot dog then? Hot dog. Yeah. Mustard and pickle relish. Okay you just can hang out with hot dogs. See with with I'm going mustard on catfish if I if or I really just do hot sauce. But if I if I want to pick between mustard and ketchup I'm going mustard. I'm going to go with the tartar sauce and the hot sauce mixed into it. Uh huh. Oh no hot dog. No not a hot dog. On the catfish. I don't just stalking hot dog. No we're talking for it. Oh no we wouldn't back worth. He he was picking up what I was putting down. We're talking catfish. I don't I don't do the tartar but I don't I don't hate on those who do. Yeah. Make a fish dog you know fish sticks and a hot dog. I like this one. Put some card to tartar on that. No. I was going to eat that with the tartar.
When's the last time you had a fish stick? What do you nine? I've got kids. I well that's fair. Yeah. But I didn't we didn't really do fish sticks then either. They're more into chicken nuggets now than the fish sticks anyway. Yeah well they're better. I mean the only fish I'm going to eat probably like that's fried like that is uh is like uh maybe like a McDonald's fish sandwich or something. Those are still good but I want your catfish first. I don't want the cheese on it. You don't you read the McDonald's. I don't need to keep this lean. Lean was lean the build over here running after people. Well okay hand well you're always hustling always hustling always hustling. Okay well you're you're getting that way. He's like yeah come on we got it. Right. What are we doing? Yeah we gotta go. Keep going to it. Better less that food. Appreciate you. All right uh Stacey's here too. We're going to talk to her the next segment. Let's do our uh we had just few minutes. You can come over and hang out if you want but um let's do champs and chumps right here and then we'll take our last time out this arm. Jump jump jump. Joe Bees is playing tomorrow and they've got uh eastern Thomas playing tonight both uh in the evening time and Washatop bar and grill. It's also a great place to catch the game and have some fun. Just enjoy your time my friends over at the uh Washatop bar and if you need need some homes built or at home built um our buddies over at BKC do a great job. All right my champ this week is Brock Purdy and the 49ers. The 49ers dismantling the Rams over Melbourne
yesterday or today depending on where you were I guess and I want to give them my champ this week uh it was very happy for Brock through three touchdowns and there was all this hype about the Rams and the Niners were like hey um this seems like an opportune time as well to maybe check in on our um television team down in Australia or their excitement over the game they were really really hyped about it and they know a lot about NFL football you can tell by listening. We're watching some footy game in America the Rams and the San Francisco 69ers play whoa the fourth game. 40. 40. Niners. That's has much more interesting. Yes. A lot of people might pay to see it in. That's what we were doing. The 40. Niners. That's much harder to explain to you why. I think um the Australian folks uh can get away with more on television than we can here. Maybe 69 there doesn't mean the same as it does here. Um I think uh I think it uh I think it does.
Of course you find the 70 winners do. Yeah my trump this week the LSU Tigers the LSU Tigers because it was uh much to do about nothing all this like we're going to push the envelope and then the S&C is like we'll kick you out of the league and then they're like yeah we actually didn't want any pro guys anyway we're just kidding they're got a they got the 105 man roster set no pro is going to be part of that at least for the time being so they had a lot of blustering and a lot of posturing but it turns out to be nothing yeah that's exactly right and my champ is the SEC yeah for getting LSU to back down off of this you got to stop calling them former professional players because they never played in a professional game but they did sign an NFL contract which makes it sort of like they were a professional briefly okay um but the SEC did the right thing by um I think by challenging LSU um and getting them to back down at least for the time being in football we'll see what happens with some of the other sports where LSU was pushing the pushing the envelope a little bit by chump and I'm sorry I'm sorry UAPB oh boy oh no you're not yes you're
mean it lost 24 to one last night what to northwestern states you said soccer not can't be right 24 to one northwestern state second win of the season 54 shots on goal for the demons four shots on goal for the golden lion joyous drive back to Nacadish oh my god at home oh that was a Nacadish thank goodness so great home for prime puff great fans of UAPB women's soccer did not have to watch that up close and in person oh Lee I've never heard of such a thing that is brutal it is a tough score okay all right there you go that's that's why I got loose who you I'm gonna go champ to the Seahawks they were able to beat a very good team after losing their quarterback in the very first drive so it's pretty tough um JSN looked awesome even with Drew Locke Drew Locke is a interesting guy so it's kind of fun to root for a season there and then chump you gave the champ to the Niners I'm gonna give the chump to the Rams uh there was a lot
to set about their travel schedule and they kind of poo pooed that and then they got smacked by a team that was there for two weeks um you can't talk about being a super team this much and then Miles Garrett not even record a pressure or a tackle um you can't do that with your MVP quarterback only throwing 155 yards in a pick uh they just looked really really outmatched the whole game for a quote unquote super team well you're telling me that the Niners were there for was putting on a week were there for two weeks yeah it seems like a long time two weeks it worked compared to 24 hours yes well I know but I mean I'm just saying you don't need to be there two weeks though I'm just like why why two weeks I mean like I don't know I could definitely see staying there three or four days it just seems like a long time to be somewhere with a whole football team get yourself acclimated for the first game of the year I mean are they prepping for Super Bowl weeks I guess trying to get ready for the Super Bowl like to be not to tell that one together I don't know it's weird to me it appears to have worked for sure
no doubt and they both I mean I saw Shane a hand too he was kind of poo poo in it too I was like I didn't have anything to do with it we're just better there's probably a bunch of dudes who have never been down Australian just kicked it for a while too that's true yeah I wonder if they did some I'm sure they did pricing team activities traveling to different parts of Australia that kind of thing see if the toilet really flushes in the other direction I don't know yeah the horse is running the other way I think I mean you could almost slam around the whole island during that time all right we have to take a break and we're going to talk to a special guest on the other side and hopefully we're going to eat some catfish soon but that doesn't really matter to you the listener I'm sure we've got some live fan feedback coming in from our friends at rainbow restoration and of course our text line is brought to you by D3Odelsos so we'll get to all that coming up in a second and as we head in I want to tell you about Fandool we're here in the hot springs area and over at Oklan those guys with Fandool are ready for the weekend we got a full slate of games beginning the two appetizer games and now we get a full slate of them Fandool and Oklan sports

oh hi we're back it's 1146 we are here we are in hot springs and we are thrilled and we've got uh older friends make it newer friends so it's good it's good when all our buddies come together uh as long as uh Stacy's not hawking windows for a different company which is not what she does for a living it's all good she's here to talk about the grand fond though that we always like to talk about the wash the tall grand fond though and so welcome back by the way good to see you how are you I'm great excited today would not be a good day for the grand fond though but hopefully like the rest of the time this summer it'll be dry and warm or maybe not as warm hopefully not as warm when when is the when is the race this year this is a bike race for those of you don't know what a grand fond though is uh when is the race October 3rd okay stands for reason it probably won't be quite a thought then that's good yeah we've had we have been really lucky i'm not going to live right now okay because we've had really good weather okay uh and it is we have news this year that not only is it awesome and it's back but it's a little bit different because we are tweaking the location or the what do you call that the the well the route is still very similar we're still going over Jack
mountain with king and queen in the mountains so that's great okay um but I was out on the route last year there was this beautiful location called whiskey Ridge Ranch where they do check wagon races every year uh I think around 9000 people come in for that okay and I talked to miss Cindy Wheeler and they she said come on out so they're hosting us that's where the start finish will be and where the party will be there's a wonderful party location it's going to be amazing okay that's great I like that now you've been doing a party in all that anyway right we've always done a party but this is a better location for that I think so well I mean downtown hot springs is good too yeah but she's got a pretty awesome set up there and I think it's going to be good we're we're gonna have a DJ like we always do we're gonna have brisket gonna have sausages gonna have beer that's the important part right I think so so we'll have that going on you're gonna have beer at the whiskey ranch yes we will that's interesting yes so how uh how many miles are we talking here I'm
guessing there are people listening that are all sorts of you know um cycling enthusiasts so it's uh probably different ranges but there's one for everybody that's what I like to hear there's a 20 okay a 36 and a 71 okay um I want to do the math and you'll get two operative you do the 71 you get two opportunities to race for King Queen the Mountain because you could go over Jack Mountain twice how do you determine that we have a strong a Strava segment set up and it's timed so you log on to your Strava do the do the mountain and then at the end we log on we see everybody's times and we see who winner I'm seeing the Queen get a crown do they get a belt they get amazing trophy and they get to go to the party of course they get to call themselves King and Queen for the rest of the year how many years have you done the race this is our fifth year and have you done the King and Queen every year every year and do you know what the fastest time is on the mountain run oh gosh don't ask me that no I don't know that I won't ask you that what's your fastest time on the mountain well I have done the mountain but I've never done the ride this race because you know I'm the
director so but I have no idea how fast I got up it so but I can do it you can do it as long as you can do it yes how long is it how long is that stretched you know don't you're asking me every time see I have a broader piece of paper so I'd have all the answers and of course it has to be like jeopardy and interview with jeopardy you'd hand the answers well it's not that you have the answers to the test you just have to have the answers to the right test that's the most important and you keep changing the test well that's what I do you know listen in this AI world you know I need to make sure that we keep you on your toes right because the next question I had is how do you come across the name grand fondo what does this mean grand fondo means it's a big fun ride yeah it's all about the party something like grand fondo in the world but it's the best one our two main rest stops are party party party and the after party party party party party it's all about the fun is there the rest stops no okay that'd be dangerous I would think it's only a post-race it's a post-race thing I have never drank and written a bike I have drank and maybe written a scooter you know to get from a to be done every one of those pedal pubs that I see in Nashville some of the other bit I
would never want to do that but I did my buddy Andy had a birthday party this is a couple years ago and we did they have one here but you your pedaling doesn't really go anywhere it just takes you regardless of whether or not you pedal but it's fun to look at did to watch people drink and be handsters for two hours and I'd be remiss if I didn't bring up our amazing we have some sponsors them and doing this since we started okay supporting you know because watch the children youth and family services what better cause to be out there but oak lawn and am I is it okay if I ask what they do is that on your sheet they do a lot okay they do a lot so I mean there's an outreach to homeless children we have domestic violence shelters we have we help the homeless we have program all kinds of programs for children youth families there truly is a lot that we do out in the community and these funds are they have really met some pretty critical needs at times and so it's these dollars go directly to the center to the general operating fund they keep the help keep the doors open
but we've got oak lawn they've been there all five years um wholesale electric has been with us all five years oak lawn is our presenting sponsor they have been our presenting sponsor every single year they're amazing we're big fans we're incredible yeah and then wholesale if you see buddy McCullough out there shake his hand he's pretty remarkable human being he's been helping us every year Edward Jones of course and yeah those are my people so you deal for your real job yep you don't just do bike races for a living I actually have a real job yeah but this is a passion for sure cycling is a passion and the center is a passion uh oh and spin threading makes they've been there since the beginning a bunch of more others but these sponsors make they make it yeah they really make it for us so thank you everybody okay so date is October and time what time we take off okay big things to know the packet pick up is from six to seven on race day at whiskey Ridge Ranch okay so that's a change it's on race day six to seven October third race I mean I'm sorry six to eight
October third eight a.m. is start and the finishes at basically the same location it's a little bit different but it's all right there together okay um so just remember don't go downtown drive on out to whiskey Ridge Ranch I'm gonna ask another one how far part is downtown and the whiskey Ridge Park think about 20 miles yeah yeah probably about 20 miles okay so how much does it cost and where do people sign up 50 bucks no matter the length doesn't matter okay even if you want to be a spirit rider and just come party with us 50 bucks one must be um and what was the other question how much and how do you sign up those are my questions okay where do you sign up watch our grandfondo for families dot com who that's a long and it's watch the ties and like watch the tall the watch the tall mountains watch the map just not a w it's a no if you're listening you know how to spell it yeah okay people here do I know they know I think it was some people who come from out of town that's fair well they they need the help then yeah how many cyclists what you have
you know last year I think we had close to 80 okay and it is so hard to know because people wait till the last minute to sign up which makes me crazy as a director sign up early people yeah sign up please okay and what do the winners get not just the king and queen but is there a winner of the race also everybody gets a finisher medal everybody gets a t-shirt everybody gets food everybody gets a party everybody gets a beer can grandfondo everybody gets a bunch of grandfondo too and you get swag we got lots of swag what kind of swag t-shirt oh we got is that the official race t-shirt for this year no this was last year okay what's good looking shirt thank you we get a better this year all right cool if you come I'll give you one okay you know what I got to eat a bike between now and then you don't have to cycle just come party okay you don't even need to start all these shirt and all I'm trying to make it easy on I wish you would do it during the time when I'm available you know you can borrow my bike it's really not about me though oh you know what October 3rd yeah that's our off week you can borrow my bike do you have a like a road bike
kind of bike it's one of those hybrids yeah it's it's it can go off it can go on road whatever you know what you would make my whole year if you came wow stay see that's finished yeah she's coming she's coming she's she'll runs the after party okay what time is the party start it will little very new niche new niche yes yes all right you know what if I can make it I will I'm gonna check I'm gonna check a couple things out if I can make it I'll be there for sure I have no doubt in my mind thank you for letting me come back this is the hot is such a hot lot for me well thank you you're sweet to say um maybe we can get Tigers great athlete maybe we can get him to recycle Tiger he okay we're gonna get Tiger a bike too and he's gonna ride October 3rd marker counter there ain't no doubt I think you guys need to get a tandem and ride together that's actually not a terrible idea or we could get one with like a little carriage and you could bike me around okay you know what our cyclists tell me that we have the best supported and best party of any event they've ever done on a bike yes they have they're gonna have brisket too
I mean come on that's that's a good selling point yeah okay we're coming cold beer apparently is what they're serving there so anything any kind of barbecue we have homemade homemade goods cookies breads all kinds of stuff shale's making a bunch of them yeah I got you I'll have your cookies all right 1156 stacey thanks for coming by I appreciate you we'll see you in a couple weeks thank you all right get one more them on the website watch so grand fondle for families for families dot com yes yeah we're gonna work on that all right just remember o g f f dot com there you go you are the o g from Zach on our D3 out of cells text line I didn't play kiddle boom the kiddle of a bad game I don't know his numbers off hand let's see here not a good one oh George Kittle last night two catches 12 yards this person says the Niners were there one week I think we better take chip our checker information
I think that's right two weeks would be wild take a team yeah I think we're in that long wait listen this is the morning show buddy we give accurate information okay um on catfish try a mixture of ketchup mustard a little Louisiana hot sauce of choice or a Louis Louisiana or hot sauce of choice you'll never go back to just catch for mustard ketchup mustard and hot sauce together that's interesting I go hot I do I do like for a corn dog this may be wrong but I like mixing ketchup with mustard together I think that's a good mix and why not do the hot dog I don't know it's the I guess it just goes better with the corn meal I don't want it on my hot dog very judgment to the I also don't put a relish I don't put relish on a corn dog either well I don't either I don't know anybody I don't either I'm sure there's some psych about there that does there's all kinds of relish that works with catfish like the green tomato relish yeah that's better yeah that's any kind of pickle relish is really good to it then I ever use pickle relish but it can work it can work but the tomato relish is the best I'll take mustard only on my dog and lemon only on my fish y'all can have the catch of cold slaughter sauce that's for the birds well fine Peyton you know judge
much yesterday was was national hot dog day when I got home after the show I had a couple hot dogs only with mustard good for you Taylor and Cabot on a hot dog clip it yes tartar sauce on a hot dog I mean I never did that if I was hungry enough I would eat it and I'm hungry enough I got to take it in like proven it's also 12 years ago that everybody has this and that is there that's their speech right man they will get you they will get you you're out there in the middle of nowhere you feel like you're completely immune and next thing you know here comes a a parish cop and it's like you're going down I'm coming out you're good there yeah we're coming you again um yeah as a hell man all right we are I can help with the funding this person says good Billy kick in I think they expect everybody to help with the funding who does North Alabama play this week I don't know I'll look up like southeast please do something okay listen if they shut down three teams in a row defensively I'm in the full list there's a place that pulses with possibility when you step through the door well one second could change everything that place is Oakland hot springs
