As always, I'm Bradewasco, he's Carter first, you can fight us on Twitter, Braden 5,

Oscar Carter first to his ball in our main Twitter account at Lockdown Jays, thanks
for coming back.
As always, everybody, a lot more to talk about this whole week, I will give you guys sort
of a big update, not only on our fantasy league later on in the show, but also what's going
to happen on this show throughout the week.
We got a few big topics that we want to discuss, but let's talk a little spring training.
In segment two, we'll talk a little bit about Team Canada, our thoughts, our feelings
on how all of this world baseball classic stuff is happening and going down so far.
But Carter, let's just jump right into things.
I guess we could talk about almost every single guy on who's doing well, who's not
doing well, but I want to try to keep this in a little bit of a positive note.
The Blue Jays haven't been winning a ton of their spring training games.
The Golden Grapefruit is out of reach.
But I think there were some big standouts that came from this weekend, so I'll throw it
over to you anywhere you want to start.
I'm happy to go there.
I'm going to take a step back initially and just acknowledge the fact that there's so
much baseball on right now, and it's one of the greatest things of all time, whether
it's the world baseball classic, whether it's the Blue Jays spring training games, like
any time you turn on the TV right now.
There's more than likely going to be a baseball game on, like I'll have to occur playing
for Team Mexico today on Sunday.
Just a phenomenal game, home run already, a double-volume or grow junior, absolutely
on the loose in the world baseball classic.
So you have that stance, and then you also have some of the guys, the prospects as well
as George Springer, Addison Parcher, Dalton Varsho, a lot of the guys that will be regulars
on the Toronto Blue Jays still playing in these spring training games.
Just to get it from Monday to Sunday, there were six baseball games you could have watched,
four Jays games.
I guess one of them wasn't televised, but four Jays games and two Team Canada games.
That's a really good slate of baseball.
So we're at a pretty good spot if you're a baseball fat at least in terms of watching
the Toronto Blue Jays.
Or just any single baseball player, whether it's a Blue Jays or you know why it's just
the superstars from around baseball.
No, absolutely.
You are 100% right.
This is a great time to be a baseball fan.
And you know what, as much as you know we make the joke about the Golden Grapefruit, whatever,
the Blue Jays did win the ton over the weekend.
Team Canada.
You gotta win as well.
Like, it's not like you're just throwing on these games.
Yes, to view the prospects.
But at the end of the day, we all want to see winning, right?
And that's what's nice about this weekend over the past few because you haven't really
been able to see the team get the win in sort of what seems like team fashion and you
know, seeing some of the starting pitching, seeing some of the guys, the guys sort of turn
loose a little bit.
It's really nice to see.
But man, I'm having a blast with the World Baseball Classic.
And just, you know, I don't sit down and watch every single game.
Like I try to watch mostly team Canada's games.
But you know what?
It's just on throughout the day.
If I'm at home, right?
I'm at work.
I got World Baseball Classic playing and it's just, it's hard to look away as a baseball
fan.
And just the atmosphere, like how much these guys care?
It's all on the biggest stage debatably on Earth right now.
But just watching, like I'm a Dominican Republic fan and keeping his blindies there.
Just that offense is so much fun to watch.
Like the junior Kevin arrow home run.
This guy's going to be a problem in the AL East and majorly baseball taught T Swan
Soto.
Just some of the interviews.
Like we saw the one Soto taught T's flat interview where they had the bottles in front
of one Soto.
He's sponsored by Celsius.
So it wasn't Celsius.
Brad takes him down right away.
You see taught you some bloody laughing just to have again, those little interpersonal videos
of just how these guys interact and some of the best athletes on the planet.
Just, you know, always get that grounded feeling watching them in those little moments
and think, hey, these are just normal dudes.
That are just really, really good at baseball.
So so much fun coming from this world baseball classic, but kind of just spinning it back
toward the Toronto Blue Jays.
Onc made a start and onc looked really good in that start.
Max Scherzer surprised me.
Shocked a lot of the Toronto Blue Jays fan base.
This was a guy that was in talks with the Toronto Blue Jays throughout the immensely the
entire off season.
But I did not anticipate him to look this good this early on.
The basketball velocity was a lot higher than I expected.
Was it four innings pitched of no run ball?
I have for a guy that hasn't pitched.
I'm assuming at least in live at that's or at least a live game since the World Series.
Pretty good start from Max Scherzer.
Well, Carter, it not only no run baseball.
How about no hit baseball through four innings?
Crazy work for Max Scherzer.
And yes, again, it's not against every day ML beers.
It was against the Phillies lineup, who obviously, you know, all these teams are going to
be missing guys.
Not in the same vein.
It was four innings of no hit baseball like I don't care what level you're doing it at.
That's fantastic.
And it is unbelievable.
And we're going to talk more about Max Scherzer and the starting rotation as the week continues.
But Carter really just a great weekend for starting pitching across the board for this
for the blue.
Cody Ponds, three innings, no hit baseball on Sunday.
Kevin Gosling goes out only gives up three hits.
But no weren't runs gets three Ks in the three in a third innings that he pitched as
well.
So really, this trunnel, Blue J's pitching staff, it's a great problem to have everybody's
doing well.
And I couldn't be more excited for the way this staff looks.
Yeah.
Gosling, I mean, the velocity a little bit down, but still getting the results and that's
kind of what you're looking for, like not worried about Kevin Gosling, but an absolute
dog for out of your rotation.
Cody Ponds, the excitement starting to build a little bit.
We've been seeing it with Casima Okamoto, Cody Ponds.
If you're seeing the fastball at 95 96, that is going to play for the trunnel, Blue J's.
And that just goes to show that this is clearly a different picture than he was when he played
for the pitch for pirates back in 2021.
So it's a very good science to see from this pitching staff.
Max Scherzer, the fastball sat at 93 9 in the start.
Again, it is early on and it's one start.
And with Max Scherzer, you can't necessarily expect that to be every fifth day.
But it's making this a more and more difficult conversation.
It's already been an impossible conversation and one that it's becoming a possible scenario
where I really don't know what the best way to handle this is, which the way the cards
aren't going to unfold.
A lot of it does depend on how treasave it is.
There is some updates with him as well, but we're getting into in this episode when
it's shame beaver healthy.
I thought we'd get some clarity and there still is more and more time for spring training,
but we're relatively halfway through now.
And I am in the same boat as I was about three weeks ago, or at least as soon as Max Scherzer
came to this team.
No, it is.
It's nuts because we always talk about the fact that a lot of these problems will figure
themselves out.
I don't think that anything's been figured out.
I think the blue chase management has to be looking at this thinking, oh my god, what are
we going to do if all these guys look like this to start the season.
And yes, great problem to have, but a problem nonetheless that these guys are going to have
to try to decipher.
Carter, you know, we've talked a lot about the pitching and we will continue to do so,
but I want to know.
We got to talk about one more guy.
We talked about some of the starting pitching.
Let's talk about Jose Brio's as well because he had a pretty good day on Friday.
Sure.
Four of his pitched five hits to earn runs did give up the contact.
That's just kind of who Jose Brio says the velocity was up again.
So that is building off this last start where you saw the sinker be around 94 miles an
hour.
Jose Brio's isn't going to be that guy that's going to strike out, you know, nine guys
in a baseball game.
He's a guy that pitches to contact similar to how crispass it is isn't going to evaluate
the velocity, but you need him to not be at 91.
You need him to be at 94 and you need the control I command to be a lot better.
So and we have seen a little bit more consistency over the last two starts.
So with Brio's, we're starting to trend in the right direction, which is definitely
a good thing for the Toronto blue chase in totality.
But just overall from Jose Brio's just overall in spring training, just kind of stemming
from last year.
What are your overall feelings on him at this point?
Yeah, I want to say that I'm that I've changed and I think he's going to come back
whatever.
I can't really say that yet.
I'm still a little bit uncertain, even though I have liked this outside really of his
first start.
I think the rest of it has been trending in the right direction.
And that's all I can ask for Jose Brio's and hopefully that by opening day, he's the
Jose Brio's that we've come to know and not the one from last season.
I guess.
Yeah, hopefully it thinks change a little bit from last season because let's start
of it.
Like I don't want to say the whole season was right off the start of it was pretty good
for Jose Brio's to be the start of 2025 down this stretch this season.
That's something that I will take every single day of the week, especially when you have
so many other guys that can provide you a little bit more of that upside.
If you use a guy that could provide you some stability in that bottom of the rotation
for a guy that has the option to opt out of a contract.
I don't think that is going to happen necessarily, but we'll have to see how this saga works
out with Jose Brio's and how the performances look down the stretch.
A lot of season ahead of us, a lot of things can change.
I was watching over this weekend.
I was watching our hot takes from 2025 as we start to prepare for 2026 and just some of
the things that we were talking about, at that point, compared to what we're talking
about right now is absolutely insane, like I'll just throw out one thing.
People were talking about Boba Schett like he was a bad baseball player.
At that time, we were on top of it.
We knew that I was ridiculous, but just something as simple as that is, Boba Schett
is one bad year that the narrative switches and I'm not saying that, you know, Jose
Brio's is Boba Schett, but things can switch very quickly and things can change
very fast.
It's kind of the point I'm making here.
Oh, absolutely.
I'm so excited for when we bring that episode back this season.
I think it will be a two-part, we're with Dalin Wilton Skyler-Peters because, man, we
had a ton of fun.
Honestly, we might make it a three if you guys really want that because that was an
episode that I think everybody had fun, either you or against us or with us or against
Dal on his, what we had thought at the time was a crazy take, turns out not so much,
but stay tuned for when we get closer to the regular season.
We will have that episode for you guys, but Carter, I think we got to take a break.
We'll come back because we want to chat some of the offense and we want to chat Team
Canada in the World Baseball Classic as well and just throughout the first few games,
what are our thoughts, feelings, opinions, everything, and then we'll give you guys a
rundown ahead of this coming week, plus how you can be and join into the Lockdown
Blue Jays Fantasy Baseball League, which if you haven't or if you weren't a part of
that last year, you're going to want to be a part of it this year.
A lot of fun.
We get the whole group chat going.
It's going to be a blast.
Stick around for all that when we return today's episode is brought to you by MLB the

There is a link in our description if you guys do want more information.
One thing from the weekend, I just thought was pretty fun to see is the baseball team
just as they were going out for their first game in the world baseball classic around
onto the field early and they actually have to get set back out because the art field
staff me on pyres board actually ready to get the game started pretty funny to see, but
it's also fun to see like nice to see that these guys are ready to go.
There's an apt up.
They wanted to get out there.
Canada wins the first game against Columbia.
We are recording as they are playing their second game against Panama had a pretty sloppy
sixth inning where they gave up three runs now.
It is a 4-2 game.
I believe it's still 4-2 as we are talking about the spot or talking on this podcast.
Hopefully that does turn out pretty well for team Canada as well there.
One guy I didn't want to talk about is going back to the trouble chase spring training and
it is as a barger.
So kind of standing back away from the world baseball classic, but didn't have the opportunity
to talk about that the first segment and could it go through the episode without talking
about barger.
They did have an opposite field home run on Sunday absolutely hammered at the baseball
like that.
That's the barger.
Hobrads are always going to feed families.
This is from Bennett Nicholson Smith as a barger.
That was his first ever opposite field home run he's never done that in a big league game
in spring training in the playoffs and it's off the lefty as well in Brian Simmons against
off of the tiger.
So as a barger lefty lefty home run that's beneficial opposite field home run.
If you restart see as a barger use all faces of the field.
This guy's going to be absolutely incredible and we saw it in the 2025 playoffs.
He made a little bit of a swing change just switched up his mechanics a little bit just
to make a little bit more contact for a guy like acid barger who already swings as one
of the hardest guys in all of baseball as one of the best swing velocities we've seen.
A guy that has all of these exit velocities that are off the charts.
This guy's making contact in any facet of the game whether it's even hitting the ball
on the ground or popping it straight up into the air.
He swings so hard that he was making any sort of contact.
It's probably going to work out for him.
You don't want it to turn into the Vladie.
I'm going to smack the ball to the ground and not, you know, have that launching all
that we're desiring.
But if acid barger could put the ball play a little bit more consistently than he has been,
that's only going to benefit himself in the Toronto Blue Chase.
Yeah.
And you know what as we continue into this week and we're going to have a bigger discussion
along the lines of Addison barger and Carter.
The one thing I want to look into it and what all of the people in on now is that swing
change and just what I'm seeing from that and you guys can then you guys can watch for it.
But we'll talk about that in a future episode, but you're absolutely right.
Addison barger has been tearing the cover off the baseball.
A lot of people talked about regression when it came to addison barger.
Hands up and to God, me included.
But this is a guy I don't know if that's going to happen Carter.
I think he is tilted and he's just going to keep progressing.
That's what I'm seeing from him in spring training so far.
And so I'm praying to God that that's the truth.
But an interesting guy to take a look at.
I think more in depth this week.
But Carter, there was also I want to sorry add one more thing.
No, but do you brought up a progression for a guy like Addison barger?
And when players have like phenomenal seasons career years,
you can assume there's going to be some sort of regression.
But that's in barters 26 years old.
Like this was his first season in Major League Baseball.
This is still a very young ball player.
There's regression to some degree, but there's also just getting comfortable
and just growing into the player that you're going to be at the Major League level.
And I think that's more so what we're seeing from Addison barger
rather than this notion of oh, he might regress in 2026.
I actually think that Addison barger is going to get better in 2026.
Being more comfortable in the box, you saw what he did in the playoffs in 2025.
This is a confident baseball player.
And you can see that in spring training, you saw it in the World Series
and you saw it throughout the entire 2025 season.
So I don't think regressions going to be a problem for Addison barger whatsoever.
I actually think it's the opposite.
We're going to use the word regression.
It's going to be positive regression and it's only going to build off
of what Addison barger did in 2025.
Yeah, no, that's exactly what I mean.
I think that's what I mean.
I was wrong, I think.
I think that this is going to be a progressive year for Addison barger.
I think he's going to progress more than regress,
which is crazy to say.
And I think how I look at this is I'm going to try to look at this as a season
hole, right?
Because I think there will be pockets in Addison barger's time,
just like any ball player.
But I think he may be one of those streaky guys.
That's just sort of what we're seeing through spring training,
through last year.
I think you are going to see those hills and valleys with him.
But I think when he's on those hills, he's going to be very good.
So I'm super excited for this season with him.
But Carter, a guy that I don't think we've talked maybe at all about so far,
and I have to bring him up because of the Friday game.
And that's Nathan Lucas.
He just continues to look like Nathan Lucas.
We might be seeing 2025 and Nathan Lucas,
which is insane to say, but he continues to do everything right.
And eventually we're going to have to have a conversation on who makes this team and who doesn't.
Thank God we're only halfway through spring training right now where we don't have to make those calls.
But I love what I'm seeing for him as well.
Is Nathan Lucas the most underrated player on the Toronto Blue Jays?
I feel like he has to be like the way that Blue Jays media talks about Nathan Lucas.
This is a guy that hit second in the World Series.
This is a guy that was a huge part of what the Toronto Blue Jays did in 2025.
And then you add Jesus Satchez and all of a sudden Lucas is a guy that might be traded.
Like that was almost the narrative that was going around.
And I get it with this outfield.
You have Dalton Varshaw out there to contract here.
This guy's phenomenal.
Could hit 30 home runs this year.
If he does stay healthy, that isn't if.
But still there's a possibility there as a barger.
Like there's some guys that you could talk about out here.
I actually saw Todd Daryl and George Springer still has the opportunity to play some outfield.
So he does get a little bit lost just with how much traffic there is out there.
But this guy is phenomenal.
Like the swing, the approach,
they just the ability to foul off insanely tough pitches.
They're having the ability to hit ground balls,
just finding ways to get them through the infield.
I'm not exactly sure how he does it.
But it seems like whatever Nathan Lucas hits an infield ground ball,
it's not even hit that hard.
It just has eyes and always finds a way to get through.
And you need guys like that that can have those gritty at bats
and can work the counts.
Especially if he is going to be a guy that is slotted into that number two spot.
For guys like Vladimir Grove Jr., for Alejandro Kirk, for Dalton Varshaw,
barger whoever it ends up being early on in the game.
I have the ability to extend those at bats and give the guys behind you
the opportunity to see what the pitcher has in front of them
is so important for a baseball team.
So Nathan Lucas, I think he's becoming very underrated
around the Toronto Blue Jays media
and then just in Major League Baseball in Totality.
Yeah, I couldn't agree with you more, Carter.
A lot more we want to get into,
but I do want to talk a little bit about Team Canada.
Again, two games.
It's not a big sample size.
What are you seeing?
Are you happy with what you've seen so far?
Are you saying where we should have expected
or are you a little underwhelmed?
Where do you sit right now?
I think I'm going to have to see the result of this Panama game.
I think this is a huge game for Team Canada,
especially with the way that things have gone.
Puerto Rico being 2-0, Cuba being 2-0
and those two teams that are left to be played for Canada,
which depending on how you look at it can be a good or bad thing.
You're playing the better teams in your division,
but you really control your own destiny.
You play the two best teams.
If you beat those two teams,
you have a pretty good chance of jumping them.
And then now there is a scenario
where I think it's the second place team from our division
is most likely going to play the United States.
So that's always a fun rinkel as well.
But to go into some specifics here,
Dental Clark is just always a fun guy to see.
God is first taking his Panama,
but just watching him defensively jumps
he gets on the ball is absolutely insane.
Abraham Toro just always seems to find himself
in these tournaments was very good in 2023.
Had a good day yesterday.
Had a tough pop out with the bases loaded
in the Panama game,
but still a guy that I believe in Josh Naylor.
One of those guys that if he's playing on the Mariners,
not the biggest fan of him,
but when he's playing on your team,
a very easy guy to cheer for.
I'm a big, I like the nailers in totality,
but just there is that, you know, stereotype.
I'm not knighting Josh Naylor,
which I do sort of understand,
but I'm not on that side of the fence.
It's the pitching.
It's going to come down to the pitching.
Tyrone was good.
Siroko wasn't bad either.
Not no, Skiro was good in that first game,
but the depth isn't necessarily there.
That's probably going to be the Achilles heel
of the Tryout of Blue Chases.
How good can their starting pitching be?
How good can their bullpen be?
When you look at yet some of the other lineups,
we'll have to see what ends up happening,
but it's all going to rely on the pitching staff,
which is a very common theme,
not just for the World Baseball Classic,
but for Major League Baseball as well.
Oh, absolutely.
And that is the standout to me.
I honestly, when you look at Team Canada's lineup,
you think, oh, this is a decent lineup.
Like this is one of the better Team Canada lineups
that we've had.
And then to still not have the faith
that they can make it far in this tournament,
I think it's pretty sad because the pitching
is just not up to snuff with some of these other teams.
And it's tough because, yeah,
you want to see Josh Naylor succeed.
You want to see all these guys just be able
to make the playoff round, right?
Make a round, do something.
Put Canada a little bit on the map,
but when the pitching's not quite there,
we always talk about how important that is.
And I mean, outside of like three guys,
four guys on Canada's pitching staff,
you're really not too thrilled about it.
You're taking a lot of shots
or hoping that these guys could play
some of the better baseball in their careers,
but like even just watching this pattern of a game,
there's a lot of guys that are going to be rolled out
that are double A guys, single A guys.
Guys that don't even play in the Major League's play
and maybe Dominican League, whatever it ends up being.
So a lot of teams are going through this.
There are the teams like Japan, you know,
like Mexico, there are good teams
in this tournament and there is some disparity
where you know, some teams have better pitching staffs
than others, but I think a lot of teams
in the World Baseball Classic are kind of going through this
where they're trying to find capture lightning
in a bottle in a sense and trying to find a guy
who can step up on the big stage.
The last thing that I want to do for this segment
for the World Baseball Classic
is our weekly Yareo Rodriguez check-in.
Let's go on with Yareo pitching for Cuba.
We will see Yareo pitch for Cuba against
Team Canada later this week.
So that will be one that I'm interested in.
By the way, Leo Jimenez winning the Panama Bowl.
Oh, yes, winning the Blue J's Bowl.
Because as he is beating Adam Macco,
Adam Macco obviously trying to Blue J,
you know, Jimenez trying to Blue J's
to walk through that in there as well.
But Yareo Rodriguez, I didn't end up watching this game
but this is from Shida Vidi
and I always try to look at the baseball so far
just to get the metrics and stuff like that.
If I'm not able to capture every single World Baseball game
that is going on, especially about going to prioritize.
Unfortunately, Yareo Yareo Rodriguez,
if you don't have your Kirkers play for Team Mexico,
Vladie for Dominican, you know, and so on.
But Yareo Yareo Rodriguez, three strikeouts
and two shut out innings against Colombia.
It's the heater set at 94-4, up to 95-8.
That is reported from Shida Vidi.
And then also through 2.1 innings pitched
and three strikeouts against Panama on Friday.
So some things to get excited about.
I wouldn't even use the word excited.
Probably not the best word to use for this.
But at least it's not Yareo Yareo Rodriguez
gave up five runs in a third of an innings pitch.
I still think he's on the outside looking in
for this try to Blue J's roster.
But at this point, I'm for the guy I hope it does work out.
But at this point, we'll have to see
how I guess he pitches against Team Canada.
Maybe that will be the change he faced.
And maybe that will be the thing
that gets Yareo Yareo Rodriguez
back in the good graces of try to Blue J's fans.
Yeah, it's sort of hilarious.
I find myself looking at mostly stats
for all these games because again,
I may watch half of this game or the full of this game
or maybe I'll miss this game completely.
And it's so funny.
I found myself consistently checking
on Yareo Yareo Rodriguez
throughout this tournament out of anybody.
The one guy I'm like checking the statistics on
and I don't know if it just peaks my interest
or I'm looking to see how bad it is
or if there is a rebound, I don't know.
But it's so, so interesting to me.
So every day, whenever I know that they're playing,
I'm like, oh, did Yareo Yalt pitch today?
What was his stat like?
I don't know.
Are you sort of in that same boat?
Is that like one guy that you're like
sort of weirdly on the radar about?
I like to catch up with him.
Like again, it's the weekly check in.
Like I'm not looking at what this guy is for breakfast
and the pitch mix that he's going in that day.
But I like to see where he's at.
Just the broad things going on
with Yareo Yareo Rodriguez.
But on this off, I have two questions for you.
For one, do you think there's a possibility
that we can pull in the manual class saying,
maybe pay off Y-Rod if things aren't going to well
for Team Canada and have him throw a couple of pitches,
like have the betting side of things,
maybe inspiring by Fandall.
And the second part of that is,
would Canada forgive Yareo for having some
of the blow-up performances if he were to throw the game
for Cuba against Team Canada?
Like would that help him
and his chances of making the Toronto Blue Jays
or would it hinder it?
Like would you rather have Yareo be good or bad
against Team Canada on Wednesday?
No, I think it makes it worse
knowing that he's on the Toronto Blue Jays
if that happens.
I don't think that's a good thing.
But yeah, I don't know.
Team Canada wins because he gave up 14 runs
and it ain't like that's a pretty good spin zone.
Yareo Yareo loves Canada.
You've got to have players
all love Canada on the Blue Jays.
At least one.
Well, hey, if that's the spin zone.
We can create that okay.
But I would just think that Blue Jays fans
will be sitting there happy that Canada's winning
but pulling their hair out.
That Yareo Yareo Rodriguez
is a seat on the bench type of thing.
So yeah, no, not overly thrilled about that one, Carter.
But thanks for the question anyway.
I'll be sure to get some ridiculous question back
to you one of these days.
As always, everybody, we want to give you guys
a look ahead throughout this week.
As well, I want to tell you guys
how to join this fantasy league that we're making.
We did a big 20 person league last year.
I'll let you guys in and all that.
Plus, I know Carter, you have an update as well.
And then one of the Toronto Blue Jays pictures.
So when we come back, we'll touch on all that
and a whole lot more.
Stay with us right after this.
Hey, this is Jeff Carr from Lockdown Reds.
And you know, I've reached the point in my life
where my wife and I are looking toward the future.
We've got the house.
We've got the career.
We even have an awesome dog.
But now we need to secure that future.
That's where ethos comes in for us.
When I look at this insurance or that insurance
and I try to pick one, I might as well be reading
an entirely different language.
Ethos clears up the noise and gets me set up

Today's episode brought to you by game time.
MLB opening day is almost here and you can feel it.
Fresh starts big expectations and that first crack
of the bat, whether it's a breakout rookie
or division race that goes down to the wire,
there's nothing like being in the ballpark for it.
The only problem, getting tickets can feel like a grind.
Long queue, surprise fees, prices jumping at the checkout.
That's where game time comes in.
The game time app gives fans the advantage
with constant innovation.
It's how you unlock amazing tickets and experiences
in just a few taps.
It's simple to use.
The game time guarantee means you get 100% authentic tickets
delivered on time at the best price.
And here's the best part.
These are included in the price you see.
What you see is what you pay period.
That's my favorite part about game time.
I can't stand going on to the app,
thinking that tickets this much and then I go
to the checkout and it's this much more
because if this add-on fee, these taxes,
game time doesn't have any of that.
They show you it right up front so you know what you're paying.

So Carter, as we continue on,
I will get into the update on how the people,
the people of this podcast can join the fantasy baseball league
group chat, whatever it ends up being this season.
But you do have an update, Carter,
so I think let's get to the more important stuff first.
Yeah, I got two things for the people,
at least for my end to end off this episode.
One of them is just an update about Traia Savage.
We like to keep you guys in the loop.
It's nothing crazy, but again,
it's the young prospect on the Trotter Blue Jays.
The beta wave face of the future face
of the franchise of the Trotter Blue Jays.
So you always want to be in the loop
with Traia Savage's from Ben Nicholson Smith.
Traia Savage's next spring outing
could come from another live BP,
batting practice.
Not, there's sorry, there's no immediate plans
to get him into a game.
He was asked, he asked John Schneider about
Traia Savage's role and Schneider said
we still view him as a starter, obviously.
Just may be abbreviated to start the season,
like three to four innings, versus five to six.
So information that we already knew,
Traia Savage probably will not be fully stretched out
on opening day, but could still be considered
to be an opening role per se to start the season
in that three to four inning role.
So Traia Savage, no health concerns,
which is really the thing that I'm looking for,
especially with Traia Savage going into the season.
Then the last thing is just the Blue Jays upcoming starters
and the starting schedule scheduled for this week.
Two states still in season,
we have Eric Lauer on Wednesday, Josef Rios on Thursday,
Cody Pots of Friday, and then Mad Max once again,
hopefully we'll once again shock the world and have losses.
Maybe you don't get up to the 95 mile per hour clip,
which is something that I'll be looking for
from Matt Scherzer.
So you have a pretty nice slate of starting pictures
for the Toronto Blue Jays, a bunch of guys
that will have some sort of impact
that will be yet to be determined,
whether it will be a huge role,
or you know, maybe a little bit more
of a ministerial role depending on
who is in this starting rotation.
But that is my update.
It's a lot of starting pitching talk
who would have thought in this episode
or continue to have a lot of starting pitching talk
because that is where the question is lie.
Which one will bolster themselves
and find their way into the spotlight?
We're gonna have to see, I guess, this week
and who has the best performance
of this week's spring training.
Yeah, Carter, and that's exactly what I was gonna tell the people
that we're going to have a bigger discussion
in regards to starting pitching.
What can happen?
What are the realistic options?
And what happens if all of these guys are good?
We'll talk about all that coming up throughout the week.
But I will give everybody the update
on Fantasy Baseball.
There has, we have gotten a ton of questions about it
because we did it last year.
The link is down in the description.
Right now, link is down below.
You guys can join it there.
If you, if we get a ton of people
and it fills up really quickly,
we'll open up a second one.
We'll have two leagues going.
We'll figure out what to do for the winners.
We'll give you guys something.
And then, yeah, we'll have a bunch of fun.
It was great last year.
It became a group chat.
So we were chatting throughout the entire,
all the games and everything was awesome.
So as always, tune back in with us
the rest of the week with plenty more to talk,
touch on, talk about, and I'm sure debates.
So stick with us throughout the week.
As always, thanks a ton for listening.
But make sure the one last thing
is to check out the locked on Blue Jays
every day or club where it's ad free episodes.
Plus, you get an exclusive discord channel.
You get exclusive merch shop.
There's a whole lot that comes from this
for just five bucks a month.
