Why have I asked my electrician I found on Angie.com to bury my pet hamster?
I was so moved by how carefully he buried my electrical wires,
I knew I could trust him to bury my sweet nibbles after his untimely end.
This is very strange.

Now, Kelly, your live Boots on the ground.
How are the vibes?
On hair, baby.
On celebrations.
What's going on?
Is there like a trophy?
Is it a plate?
Is it a bowl?
What's up?
Yeah, so I'm hiding out in a suite.
And I thought that there would be,
I would get to watch the trophy celebration,
because it's usually on a stage on the field.
But they are utilizing the stadium
and doing the metal pass out.
And then I guess trophy lift in the stadium.
So I can't see it.
I can just see it on the big screen of what's going on.
So I think they're about to lift the trophy
right here.
But they're in the stadium, which is kind of,
you see it's like in the stands.
And don't clear view.
Yeah, so I'm just like, oh, there they go.
Did they, oh, they got some sparkles?
We got some sparklers, you know, like from the club.
And we got some streamers.
We got some silver streamers.
Confetti.
No, Confetti.
No, Confetti, just the silver streamers.
Yeah, they did it right.
They did it right above where you walk or the tunnel walk out is.
So, um, but this is I think the first time that she believes cup
has not had a trophy ceremony on the field on a stage.
So I don't know if they were just,
don't they do that in England, the FA Cup?
Don't they walk through the stands to go up above to go?
Yeah, they like, yeah, it's it.
Are they like trying to get people off the pitch?
Who knows?
Because all the staff, so it's like, I'm looking at,
yeah, I'm looking at all the photographers looking at them right now.
Like that's what I can say.
I'm loving this live.
Yeah, they lifted the trophy.
Oh, I wanted to ask you to because something else we saw,
the iconic 90 Niners are there.
And so we're some of the actors that are playing them
in the upcoming film about the 90 Niners.
So I wanted to ask, did you get like insights?
Who buy why they're here?
Okay, so we were all down.
There's a bunch of us alumni down in the field.
Um, obviously, it's Togun Heath's retirement celebration.
A lot of the 90 Niners alumni players came in
for, I think, this moment with the actors.
And it was funny.
They were, you know, there's a lot of people on the sideline
at the beginning or during warmups and stuff.
And I was walking around and you see,
I saw all these, you know, like,
people that I didn't recognize necessarily
with hats that said 99ers on them.
And I was like, I don't know, like, I was like,
I didn't know what group, I was like, what group are you guys, you know?
And they're like, no, these are old actors
that are going to play, you know, the 99ers in the 99ers.
I think that's what it's called.
So, um, I was like, that's so cool.
And so I went around being like, time Kelly,
what's your name and who are you playing?
And so I got like, uh, to meet everybody
and know who they're cast as.
But no, it sounds like
they are all the group of actors that are playing
the 99ers are all in Jersey right now training
ahead of shooting, which is going to happen later this spring.
And I was, I was talking with the producer
and I was asking you all of these questions.
And so they're like in soccer boot camp right now.
And they said they're training 9am to 3pm,
basically every day but once a week.
And I was like, how's it going to be?
And they're like, it's, it's hard.
And the producers was like, listen, we got to make sure they can play,
like look like they can play soccer.
So I was like, yeah, that's seen.
They're playing literally the best soccer players in the world.
So they, there's a level, you know?
But yeah, I think they were just had a moment
that they could bring them all together as many 99ers
that are represented in the film.
And like, you know, get the pairs together.
So it was really, it was a really cool moment.
I was like, I cannot wait to watch this film.
It's going to be sick.
I'm glad you didn't know who they were either.
Because they kept showing them on the broadcast.
And they were amongst like, I could see Brandy in the background.
And like, I saw a couple 99ers.
But I'm like, who are these other people?
Like, I have no idea who they are.
And in a few years from now, like, those are the people
that these young kids are probably going to think of
when they think of the 99ers, right?
The people that played them in the movie.
Oh, I don't know.
Yeah, it's just crazy.
Totally, totally.
Yeah, oh, my gosh.
Well, that's cool.
Well, I also gave me the inkling to also ask this.
As we're opening up the show, still have an open the show.
Everybody, welcome.
And especially, though, their cast is going into tuning.
We all grew up watching and watched Dare to Dream,
fell in love with them.
If you guys were being cast as one of the players,
one of the 99ers, who do you think would be cast as?
Who do you want to be casted?
Jordan, you go first.
Okay, I'm really torn.
I'm torn between a couple of players.
I would want to be Michelle Acres or Julie Fowdy.
Those are going to get a perm.
Yeah.
No, I got curly hair, girl.
Yeah, you do.
You have very curly hair.
This is true.
So I know the two that I would love.
I always love Julie, but like, Michelle, are you facing that?
Are you basing that off of who you would like,
like, who you wanted to be when you're a kid?
Or like visually, who you think you look the most like?
Or like, I don't think I look like either one of them.
But like, I wish I was as good as both of them.
And I think I always wanted to be Julie when I was growing up.
But like, the more I learned about that team,
the more I loved Michelle.
And so I think that Michelle Acres would be a really cool player
to be as an actress.
Pick me, pick me.
Yeah, she's an absolute legend.
So yeah, to get to like, in body who she was as a player would be
I feel like so powerful, so cool.
Gosh, who would I, I don't know, maybe, maybe Fowdy,
because I feel like I related to her the most
when I was growing up.
Like, she's who I looked up to probably from that team the most.
And like, winger, you know, that sort of thing.
So, um, or 10.
I guess I'm being 10.
Oh, yeah, maybe, maybe.
I know I did, I did ask the producer.
I was like, do you guys need any people to like play soccer in the movie?
Like, hey, when I were saying, do you want us to come out?
And you have to be part of the movie.
She was like, you'd probably be pretty bored honestly.
Like, I never had to.
All right, Darian, you.
Okay, well, love Julie, Fowdy, winter her shooters camp.
Obviously, she's up there.
We look nothing alike in case you can't tell.
Um, but also briskerry.
I mean, I don't think I'd be cast because I'm terrible with my hands.
Don't like diving.
Don't like being on the ground.
I don't have the aura that a goalkeeper can have.
But I would want to go to boot camp.
Yeah, nine to three every day.
That's a long day even as a pro.
Well, ladies, let's get into it.
Maybe we'll be cast.
Maybe we won't.
You all shall see it.
Let's take a look at the lineup.
The US women's national team came out with against Colombia.
Here you have Sonnet.
But in the back, we have fallen tolls.
Joyce holding it down.
Trinity Rodman up top Naomi Germa with the captain's arm band.
Avery Patterson, Lily Johannes in the middle.
Ali sent North up top.
Once again, Emily Sonnet rose level Sam coffee.
Alyssa Thompson and Emily Fox.
Now, they came out in a four four two once again.
And I feel like this has been a hit and miss formation for them.
I think defensively it works with the press.
It suits what this team has.
But, Jordan, are you liking this four four two?
Is it enough to keep building on?
I think especially in the attack is where the question comes from.
Yeah, you know, I think they call it a four four two.
But to me, it doesn't often look like a four four two really for this team.
It's really a build right away.
You could very distinctly see it was going to be a build in a three with a diamond
and then three up front and not three up front changed a lot.
But I think it reminds me a lot of the Orlando pride in NWSL.
Like they say they're playing a four four two,
but it's not really a four four two at all.
And there are some really good things.
I, what I saw from this starting lineup, I liked a lot of it.
I thought especially with the pace they had up front
at knowing that Columbia from these previous games that they wanted to play
through their defenders.
You have LaVelle and Ali Setnor with a very, very high press right away.
And I thought the first 15 minutes of the game,
the United States with their repress and high press looked really good.
It just wasn't quite sustainable as Columbia started to break it down a little bit.
So I liked the starting lineup.
I thought it had some really good pieces to it.
And we'll kind of get into what happened.
But for me, I like the way that they build,
especially with the underlaps, especially with the combinations in that internal channel
and the external channel.
It's just picking and choosing when you use which run.
Tell, did you like the, yeah,
smell in this starting lineup?
Is it kind of what you expected to come into this game?
Yes, because this was a must win game for the tournament, right?
And I think when you look at these three games and the three starting lineups,
that Emma put out there.
First game, Argentina, the weakest opponent that you're going to face.
I think she put out a lineup clearly that was not her starting lineup.
You know, that wasn't her go to lineup.
That was her, exactly.
That was her giving these players experience and opportunity.
And it was great.
And I thought they actually played well.
But, you know, I was excited for the Canada game because I wanted to see
how Emma was going to line up.
Because to me, who started in the Canada game was her starting 11.
Maybe minus, Lily really gets hurt the first game.
She would have probably been starting in my opinion.
The second game against Canada, Chizelle Stepson.
And then you look at this game and I thought,
okay, are we going to see a lot of changes from Canada to Colombia?
Because, you know, is she going to, you know, she got her,
I would say V squad out there the first game,
A squad out there second game.
Are we going to see more inner mixing for this third game?
But again, my swim game and Colombia presented and ended up like being
a very difficult opponent tonight.
And I think she put out again what we can consider close to if not starting lineup, right?
Not a lot of changes from Canada to tonight.
I think Lily Johannes was in for Claire Hutton.
Claire played, you know, significant minutes earlier in this tournament.
And I don't think that's a Claire played bad.
I think that's just a Lily Johannes is a good option in that midfield and want to see her
with this combination of players.
And then Avery Patterson, right?
Stepson, where Chizelle played for Canada.
I think that was really the only change, right, from Canada to today.
And I think that that kind of tells you a couple things.
Like again, I think the core group that were there for Canada started for Canada started for
tonight are, you know, the core group that she's going to put out there.
And I like that group.
I think that they played well together.
I think the the unlock though was the substance tonight.
And I know we're going to get into that.
But yes, I thought the starting lineup, I wasn't surprised by the starting lineup.
I I think this this is a version of one of Emma's best lineups that she can choose from this roster players.
Yeah, it's one of the most capped lineups she's had since the Portugal game.
And I like bringing in the spirit.
Sorry, go ahead, Jordy.
Yeah.
Oh, I was just going to say and bringing in Johannes over and you mentioned that Hutton had played a lot.
And it was going to be a very different game than the Canada game, right?
The Canada game you expected to be a little bit more open.
So the midfielders are going to have to
deny some attacks from Canada and win those passing lanes.
And I think that's one of the things that Claire Hutton does best.
But you're playing against this Colombian team.
You're thinking, okay, how do we pick the lock in some situations?
When we have the ball, who do we want?
Reading that last
say I will, Johannes is a great person to bring into those types of games because then you get
it.
Johannes playing higher up the field, who can find the final pass, be really creative in moments.
And yeah, I feel like there was some some really solid performances from this group,
but also some performances that felt like, all right, we're
Oh, no, Jordyn, your internet's.
Hey, Kelly's got.
It's more illustrated.
Sports Illustrated stadium doing doing me a solid right now.
Let's go.
Oh, no, she's back.
She's back.
We got you again.
You know what?
Don't you love internet when you have full full bars and it still doesn't work?
Just like, awesome.
That show is bad.
That show is bad.
She just way goes live.
I agree with what you were saying.
I think, well, with what both you're saying, this is the core group.
Going forward, this is who she has the utmost confidence in that she's going to allow
things to work out and not make aggressive changes.
She wants them to problem solve and have the challenge.
And I think this was actually the perfect test for this group.
Let's break it up into the first half.
So first half comes out.
Columbia looks dangerous.
They're good on transition.
Linda Kaisedo is dominant breaking through tackles.
I think something that Columbia did very well in the first half that the US had to adjust
was the physicality.
Even though it's expected,
and Kelly, I want to hear from you too,
because you were there on the ground actually seeing how truly physical it was.
But even the matchup of Rodman on that right side,
she, anywhere she went, she was getting pulled, she was getting hit,
she was getting chirped at.
And the Columbia players are smiling around her and you could kind of see it
eat at her.
And I think one of the players who stood out in the first 45 was Lily Johannes.
I think she rolled with the punches,
tactically figured out how to break them down.
And she was the standout to me.
But I don't know if there are many other players.
I would say figured it out in the first 45 that was
effective, in my opinion.
Yeah, I agree.
Being in person, it's in the whole field.
I actually had that thought the second half about how
in the past, the US, I think, has had the ability to,
okay, we might not score against Columbia in the first half,
but eventually we will become the more dominant team as the game goes on
because we'll just went out on physicality and endurance stamina.
And as the second half went on, I actually was like,
thought to myself, Columbia, this whole game has matched us physically.
If not, gone above and beyond.
And they have always been a very physical team.
But I think tonight showed the physicality paired with
just the ability to hang when the minute
stick down. I know we're talking about first half.
But I will say first half, I was like, my biggest thing was
Kaisato and Santos, the link up between the two of those players,
I was like, it was basically, Kaisato is so good on the dribble.
And then Santos is just where she needs to be every time
in a little pocket of space to get the ball, give it back, put it into a more
dangerous place.
And so, and I thought that those, yes, like so, so cheeky, I was like,
oh my gosh, like, this is what we watch on champions, like every week and week out with
with Kaisato. And just her ability on the ball to draw players in.
And then Santos was right there, when she needed to give it.
And she had sucked in as many players as she could and then get it back.
So I actually thought the first half, Kaisato and Santos were the two best player fields.
They did a really good job of that connecting.
But one of the things that I noticed on the other side of the field with the US is
when you break the midfield pressure, sometimes the defender kill you know this,
like you want to bite and you want to break the play up quickly in the midfield.
And I actually thought the back line and I would imagine it's on it leading them because
she's just been, I don't know, I just feel like Emily Sonnet keeps getting better and better.
And I don't know how she keeps doing it.
But they actually were dropping and just saying, all right, come on, come, come attack us.
We're going to drop and then once we get to around the top of the D, we'll get somebody pressure
on the ball and by then everybody's recovered and we have numbers behind the ball and they weren't
giving up anything dangerous. So even though Kaisato and Santos were having these cheeky moments
and really finding that good connection, I was very impressed with the patience of the US's
back line to just say, all right, we're going to give you actually, we're going to give you the
transition. Come on at us. We're going to be back here and now break us down when we're in front of
Valentine's Choice, which I don't think she had to save. Do I, do we remember a save?
Yeah. I think she had one. Yeah. Yeah.
Jordi, I agree with you. I think that was showed the progression that the US team has made.
And I think Emily Sonnet is a big part of that. I agree. I think that she just keeps getting
better and better. And Kaisato is that player where, and I'm sure they talked about this in,
you know, their, their shouting report of we can absorb as they, you know, the, the, the, the,
the pressure, we just absorb them, absorb their attack and get those players around the wall
because really the, and I say, obviously, Kaisato Sanchez, I thought we're two of the best
players on that field in the first half, but you are right. Columbia didn't, I don't think they
got a shot on target. They got shots off, but they were blocked or they went out for corners,
all those different things. And I thought that, I agree. I think that's a great shout about how
we were able to handle the attack from Columbia and not give up anything super dangerous. They
got in our, they got in the, in the box a handful of times, but nothing, nothing super dangerous
went off. Yeah, I think Sonnet is such a good shout too. The girl deserves her flowers
throughout this whole, she believes like the seriously player. She is the girl. She believes.
Emily, she believes Sonnet. It's, no, they are changing. She believes to Sonnet believes.
Did you guys hear that? Perfect. It should be. It all this should be. She, I guess, the first
I can speak, but she had an iconic block too in the first half. I think it was Linda Kaisato,
Lacey Santos, Lacey Santos, Flixit, Gurma Scott. That was so good. And Sonnet just gets a touch
right before the shot. And it was one of Columbia's best chances, but player of the first half for me
absolutely. Emily Sonnet on the US. We go into second half, Tara Rudd comes in for Naomi Gurma,
dealing with sounds like a calf issue being cautious. Tara Rudd to me, boom, huge impact. Talk about
patience and calmness and driving forward breaking lines on the dribble. I actually think that's
something that was missing from the backline and the first half that she brought in. You can see the
US had momentum was creating those chances. Emma Hayes then makes the subs of heaps for Johannes,
Shaw for Centnor, Multree for Levelle and Sears for Rodman. And this where the game flips around.
I think what Columbia was presenting was the ball needed to move faster. The just runs in behind
weren't weren't happening quick enough. The ball wasn't getting there fast enough. And to me,
these were such great game changers to come in. And you exactly what to do. And who wants to take
me through Alyssa Thompson's goal? Because it was it was just chef's kiss. I actually jumped off my
bed. I was praying we were going to get a goal in this. Go on, Callie, you're there and you were there
in person. Right. So I didn't get to see I didn't get to watch any replays except for like quickly
glancing up at the the big screen and what they showed here. But basically, Jaden was on the dribble
and she was kind of giving Kaisato vibes of like drawing players to her. Olivia Multree made a run
through into the box, which I actually thought her coming on provided that a bit of dynamic movement
in the final third that the US needed because as the game went on, especially in the second half,
we were in Columbia's half most of of the game. And we needed it just a bit more movement.
Right. Like we just needed it to move faster. Like individually, the ball needs move faster,
but then players needed to be moving and not getting stuck in there in their specific
pockets. But Olivia Multree ran through and then you see, you know, and she wanted that ball. She
wanted to play her that ball. Jaden held it a little bit long and I was like, I'll like maybe give it
to her. And then she dishes at top of the box to Alyssa. She takes one touch. I think one touch
banger into the back of that. I mean, it was top-ends. It for him raised off the crossbar into the
back of that. The stadium erupted, went wild. It was it was awesome. I'll just say it wasn't just
awful. I think all four of the subs at that time contributed that. You mentioned Multree,
but right behind her was heaps. Right behind her was Sears. So all three of them press the back line,
stretch out, really allow that space at the top of the box to open up. And then it shot the
fourth of those subs who ends up getting the assist. I love that. And the biggest difference in
this game with this US team from I would say the moments where you felt like they had something
going for them tonight is how fast they were moving the ball. Yes, the movement off the ball was
so key. I think Jaden Shaw's entrance playing as a center forward, not being fancy saying,
yeah, I'm going to hold the ball and I'm going to drop it off because I'm going to have Multree.
I'm going to have heaps. I'm going to have somebody else going towards me that I can just drop
it off to. It really centered them and allowed the movement around Shaw to be a little bit more
aggressive. And so I think yes, all of the subs did a really good job and it was their movement
off the ball, but every good attack the US had. It was in that same structure, the three build with
the diamond in the three up front, but it was two touches, but it was quick. Pass, get it to the
next person, get it to the next person because Kelly, you know, and do you know too, when you play
these teams who are trying to sit in, you get lulled into playing at their speed. When the US played
at their own speed, it was they could break them down and that goal in particular was the United
States playing at their own speed, saying, I don't care, I'm in it. We're going to find the space
and we're going to create it. Yeah, and a chef's kiss goal just to top off the end of the game.
Eight times so good. Yeah, champions, US women's national team. We're going to talk about some of
our favorite performances from this match after this quick break. So stick with us.
First, Atlanta Drive starts their repeat run against Los Angeles Golf Club, then Rory's

They say you should learn something new every day. Like how you should only drink Yeager Meister
at zero degrees Fahrenheit. Ice cold. Like those frozen cavemen they find, which makes you wonder,
what would a caveman think of Yeager Meister? Well, if you served it more, I mean,
probably throw it in your face, say, and storm off. And nobody wants that.
So drink it cold or not at all. Yeager Meister. Damn, that's cold. Drink responsibly, Yeager Meister,
LaCure 35% alcohol by volume imported by Master Yeager Meister, U.S. White Plains, New York.
That just got me hyped for Champions League. But we've got a game right here we're talking about.
Favorite performances of this match. I'm just going to go ahead and kick us off. Guys, I freaking
love Lily O'Hannes. I just, when she's on the pitch, we finally saw in the match against
Argentina more defensive presence. She's not afraid to get into it. She can chirp. She's
defensively improved. And then even today, I think, is she showed how intelligent she is. I think
she's one of the players that in the run of the game, she solved the pressure, you know,
realizing, okay, this, what we're trying to do isn't working. I need to dribble to break this.
I need to break one line, pass it, get it back, send crosses in, stand out player to me,
even though she didn't play the full 90. I just thought she's definitely going to be there for
the Japan matches. And I can't wait to see what she does against Japan as well. Yeah.
I agree. Do I agree with your show earlier in the show about how, maybe it was you, Dirty?
Oops. Maybe it was you. How slaughtering in Lily in this game, you know,
Claire played against Canada. I think, Dirty, did you say that? That it was more for Claire's
player profile, right? Lily O'Hannes, I think, for sure, I think fit this game and what it
presented more and allowed that, that sheakiness. And she's, to me, I think one of Lily O'Hannes'
best characteristics is her final pass. She can play any sort of fall texture, weight, and
we need that in the midfield for this team. So, yeah, she was, she, I thought she played really
well tonight. Okay, she was on my list too. But can I just say, like, she's young and
there's still so much growth for her. I want, I want like a bite to her. I think she needs a bite.
Oh, you, I thought you got it. No, no, no, not in like a tackle, not in a tackle bite.
Oh, okay. When she gets the ball in the final third, I want it to feel like she's like,
watch this. You know, like that, like, she just knows that she can pick the right pass. Like,
not a cockiness, but a confidence about her because it does, it looks so easy. And maybe
it's just easy for her. But like, there are moments where everything just feels like it's
easy and it's at the same pace. Even in the first half, she had this moment where she's dribbling
through the lines and she gets her back to a defender. And she just like, stutters, stops,
and like turns her. It's all one piece. It's all
Oh, Jordan, you're in your internet is doing you dirty than I did.
I know whoops. Oh, well, you know what I mean. You're a little your harnesses better than my net.
Bye. Bye. Oh, man. I would say one of my standout players was
Alyssa Thompson. She got, I think she got 20. I think she was awarded, which I couldn't see,
but I think I saw 20. I said, she believes Cup MVP. Obviously, she scored the colossal
tonight that sealed the win for the US to be champions this tournament. But I just feel like
we've really seen her, her game grow ever since she went to Chelsea. And the, the, the moments
tonight that she was at the top of the box and got shot off. I was like, this is Alyssa Thompson.
This is the Chelsea Alyssa Thompson. And I love that we the US now get the Chelsea Alyssa Thompson.
And the goal she scored tonight, like I'm like, she's scored similar at Chelsea. Like this,
you know, very dangerous right at the edge of the box, a little bit off center. So I just think
that she, you know, to be able to be a player that that this team can look to and say, all right,
go score that goal for us. And for her to do that, I think is is a great addition that she's added
to her game since going to Chelsea. Can I have a question really quick? Because maybe that's all I
have with the internet. What's the difference between Alyssa, Alyssa, um, Chelsea Alyssa Thompson
and Angel City because that girl scored bangers at Angel City, too. And like took the whole team
on her back. Like I think they said that too in the broadcast. And I was like, I just, I think
she's continuing to get better. But like I think she's always like for the last two years, she's always
been this. But I think she has been, I think it's different. Yeah, I do too. Because when she was at
Angel City, she was the best player on the pitch. Like everybody knew, hey, we're relying on her to
do everything at Chelsea. She has to compete to be in to get minutes. And I think because of that,
we see her now dribbling inside breaking lines, being more of a playmaker, um, even her confidence
to cut inside and try to curl it or get in line. Like to me, she's just evolved into more of a
full player that's not just so runway one-dimensional. We know she has pace. We know she's good 1v1.
But what else can you do? How can you combine her? Are you turning on time? And now we see it. That's
how the goal happened. She's the one that set up Shaw gets it back. Like to me, she was, she was
massive. And also, I think after half time, my biggest critique that I didn't mention before of her
was she was almost playing like marking Linda Kassato at times. Like she was literally on the
opposite side of the field, tracking her doing well. Yeah, I saw that.
Exactly. But I was like, why why is she so deep? As soon as she started being the transitional
player and she would hire up, that's when stuff started to shake and bake and we got the goal.
I guarantee the the marking of Kassato was a Emma Hayes. This is what you have to do on both. Like,
this is what you have to do on the defensive side of the ball. And then you got to go make it happen
on the offensive side of the ball as well. Thanks. Jordan, who else for you while your internet's good?
Yeah. Okay. Great. Awesome. I'm glad I'm still with you guys and I can contribute.
I thought there were a number of good performances. I mentioned it, but I think the simplicity of how
Jayden Shaw played that nine position granted. It was only 30 minutes at that time. I think
Columbia was a little bit more tired, but Shaw just being a centralized player at moment saying,
okay, play the ball into my feet. But then there was a couple of times where she would stretch the
back line and find that internal channel to run towards the end line and get the ball and connect.
I thought Jayden Shaw looked really good. And you just don't in that system, you don't have to do
a lot as a nine, right? You need to connect your past. When you get the ball,
oh no. Here she goes. She has her. I know. I just saw her own cut off.
It's like when you get a timer. I feel like it's hitting the same time every time that she gets.
Sorry, Jordan. I don't know. I think we got you just what you were saying, though.
Okay, well, no, it's bad. It's not your fault. We do have to shout out. Obviously, we already have,
but Tara Rudd thought she played phenomenally well. D2, you had her on your list. And
Jordan, you had Sonnet. And I think that both of them played very, very well in the center
back position, held it down for the US, kept it on lock. And I think Columbia presented the US with
a lot of challenges tonight. And the fact that the defense kept all the balls out of the back of the
net. Pretty great. Yeah, they got to be over 800 minutes now, right? Because they said 750 during the
game. So, oh, wow. Yeah, that's incredible. Shout out, streak. Yeah, I love the show. Emily
Sonnet to me. If we were giving like another defensive MVP, it'd be her. I've just loved,
never had the honor of playing with her just against her and sometimes with her and Kelly. And
it's a nightmare. But to me, Sonnet's evolution of like being the most intense player on the pitch,
like things pulsing, directing everybody. It's almost, she still does that, but it's just refined.
And she's so much more patient. And getting to where the captain's arm band at times, like to me,
I just, it's awesome to watch her how much she's grown with this team still. And she's such a veteran
at this stage. But I love it. To me, this team would not be the same without Emily Sonnet on the
pitch. A thousand percent, a thousand percent. I think she brings such experience and mentality and
intensity and brings everyone along with her in that. And it's something that this team has always
embodied. But I feel like she really is that player that is like keeping the mentality, the level
but also just like the confidence, right? Like, yes, this is this is the job. This is how we're
going to execute and make sure everybody knows it and everyone's doing their jobs and it's not,
it's not easy to do that, but I think she's she's done it very well.
And just to close up Emily Sonnet, it's just not fair watching her on TV because you don't
often get to see all the things that she does. Like go watch her in person and watch how she navigates
a game because oftentimes that's not in your screen. But she's organizing them in rest defense.
She's making sure that the next pass somebody's ready to get there. So yeah, go watch her playing
at Gotham or with the US team because she does so much more than you see on TV. What are we calling
it? Sonnet believes Cup? Yeah. Sonnet believes. I think there's a shirt now. I saw somebody,
Lily Reel was wearing it actually. I think it's at Sonnet believes. And I was like, I need that
shirt. It looks like a really good sleep shirt. So I want one of those two.
Kell if you can if you can grab the A3 crew some, we'll much appreciate it. But Kelli, who's on
your shirt? Do you have an icon of person on yours? Oh my gosh. I was going to wear a Naomi
Germa shirt too. And I did it last night. Naomi Germa. Yeah. Which, you know, she obviously
came out at half. Sounds like it like I don't think it was from performance thing. I think it was
sounds like it was. Yeah. On the broadcast, they said what like calf or something. Never performance.
I also asked that because I definitely thought it was Tobin Heath on your shirt because also
another iconic player that we are going to be talking about next. So everybody stick with us
after this quick break. And we are going to give her USA a nose dynamic duos can save the day like

there's endless ways to chai at Starbucks. Her flowers as well.
Welcome back to attacking third friends. As I hinted, we want to give the icon the player that had
the most aura before aura became a thing. Tobin Heath, they honored her tonight at the game
and let's just take a look at some of her career stats because she is incredible. 181
caps with the US women's natural team 36 goals, 42 assists, two time women's world cup winner,
two time end of ESL champion with Portland Thorns, one of those against me and US soccer female
athlete of the year. I mean, what can't she do? She's one of those players. I mean, similar to
Kelle, like you just yeah, one, everything at every stage of your career. And I feel so honored
that I got to grow up watching slash play against you guys at certain points. But even with
Tobin Heath and looking back at all the iconic moments, you know, Jordan, you've also played with
her and played against her. What are your favorite moments that you've had with her on the pitch
off the pitch? Seeing her do Kelle, let's start with you. What are some of your favorite moments with
Tobin Heath? So one of my favorite moments off the pitch is surfing with her. We have some fun
stories from back in the day of us surfing and getting into some situations that we
probably shouldn't have gotten into, but we're together. So, um, but no, I mean, I've known Tobin since
I was 15. Um, she was in the first camp that I was ever called to. And, uh, I think it was
you 16 youth team. And she was like a legend already at that point because she was, you know,
already a star and already this player that everybody looked to to replicate their game after.
And, um, just the level that she was at and her, her ability to control the ball. I remember, um,
she, you know, the what she was able to do in the tricks and the juggling all that stuff. And I
was not good back then. So I would just want to be like, am I ever going to be able, like, I just
want to get back to camp where I can like play with Tobin. Um, so yeah, I mean, and then obviously
knowing her from such a young age and everything that she accomplished her career. And, you know,
what a moment tonight for her to get honored. And, um, I hope she knows how much joy she's brought
people watching this game and watching her. And, and because she had, she had so much joy when she
played. And that was contagious on the field. Um, so I was saying the people tonight, I was like,
she's one of one, you know, like she truly was one of one as a player as a person. And, um,
yeah, it was a special nice thing for sure. Yeah. I hope we get to see someone who has the same,
uh, or about them that Tobin had because gosh, what a special time that we got to watch her play.
And, um, be her teammates, right? Kyle, you and I got to be teammates with her on a youth
national team. And somebody just in the comments said, Tobin, yo, and we were obsessed with that
varsity with Ronaldinho and Chavie and all them. And our coach would call her Tobin, yo, like,
she had this thing about her that you, you almost as her teammate would stop and be like,
what is she going to do? What is she going to do next? And I think, uh, the, the memories that I
remember with her is we got to play on the same side when we were on the under 20s team. And, um,
we had a very thin system, uh, we'd like to, we all were, uh, am I frozen? You're kind of like that,
but you're back. Okay. We had a very fluid system. And Tobin and I were on the same side. And it
didn't matter if she was playing up top and I was playing defender. We would switch back and forth.
And, um, yeah, some of the best times of my life playing with her, uh, beside me. So,
what a fun player. And I hope she got to keep that painting, that painting was epic.
That's hers, right? That is pretty epic. Oh, I'm sure she does. I'm sure she does.
I was also thinking where she's going to put it. Isn't Tobin also an artist?
Like, I think I remember seeing her. Yeah. Yeah. I'm like, where do you put these things? But
iconic. This is really. She's got to have wall space somewhere. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, yeah.
New highs coming up. Gonna stir all the paintings. Uh, but an absolute icon, the player of aura,
put low socks on the map. Your favorite player's favorite player, Tobin. He deserves her flowers.
And I'm so happy we got to see her honored tonight. Okay. Well, let's look ahead. She believes it's
done. You're from a national team wins it for the eighth time. When we're looking ahead, you know,
the US has three friendlies in a row against Japan, who they lost to last year believes cup.
Do you think that this core squad that we're seeing with Emma Hayes now,
can beat a Japan is Japan going to be the ultimate test for how this team is going to look going
into qualifiers. Kel. Do I think that this team can be a Japan? Yes. For sure. Again,
I'm really I am encouraged by the play that we saw all these last three games. And I think that
I don't know. You guys may come in crazy for saying like a Columbia and a Japan are kind of
similar in their styles because they're so technical. Japan's a little bit more technical
than Columbia, but Columbia is a little bit more physical than a Japan. And so I'll be
interested to see how this group lines up against Japan. And like you said, they lost to them
last year. But no, I'm I'll be excited to see see those games and there's three of them. So it's
like she has, you know, hopefully she can go out when the first one and be like these next two,
if she needs to see players, if she needs to try different things against a team like Japan,
she can do that and not feel when I say she Emma, the pressure to okay, we have to win all three.
Obviously she's going to put that pressure probably on on the team because that's the expectation.
But I think it'll give her some ability to to try people and try combinations of changing
the line up a little bit tweaking things, putting certain players with other players. So that's
what I'll look for at this next camp, see if she does that. I think this camp with these three games
is going to be big for the US because one, hopefully their goalkeepers get challenged. Like I want to
see I know goalkeepers have to make some saves. But I want to see them have to play under some pressure
in Japan is going to put them under pressure. So how do they problem solve playing out of the back
like Emma wants them to? So I think that that is a big thing for me. And then we saw some like
clear patterns of play that Emma wanted here tonight, especially with that underlapped. And
I thought that there were too many forced like, hey, this is what we worked on in training. So I'm
going to put underlapped the right pass at the time. It's like we get to the meat and then it just
was saying something very important though. You were saying something very important. Do it and you
paused. Chip, can I, am I back now? Yeah, somewhat. Yeah. Okay. So yeah, well, I just, I think that they're
they were forcing patterns of play because that's what they did in training. So can it be more
decision making as opposed to, hey, we did this underlapped. Let's play it. We'll let the underlapped
run out and then dribbled centrally and find the next pass. So just little things that I think
that they can evolve with how they're attacking. I also think Japan such a good test because
they're going to have possession of the ball like very clean, very precise possession of the ball.
And I love when we're seeing this net, this US team actually get tested when they have to fully
respect what a team can do and how they can hurt you. I think we can always usually out athleticize
teams, be just as physical. They have to be worried about what the US is going to do, but I think
playing a team like Japan, you're going to suffer without the ball a lot. So that's what I'm
most looking forward to with this as well. And D, that's going to open up space for transition
moments where you can see Rodman, you can see Sears, you can see Thompson getting in behind with some
space behind the backline potentially. So just a different look. 100%. When we look at who can
potentially come into this camp looking at, you know, Sophia Wilson, Mal Swanson, it is in April.
Are there some other players that we would want to see or expect to see? Atirna Davidson is
another one as well, depending on their health. Like how much could those players really shake the
steam up? Here, dude, here's the thing. It's crazy to look at who she has here right now in camp,
who she put out on the field tonight, not just a starting 11, but the players who came up with that
drive. Because that's what's so scary about this US team is the like the number of weapons they
have that they can bring out in a second half tied zero, zero, like knee to score goals. And
and that was the game changing moment tonight was the subs coming out, right? They were they were
true game changers. But what's crazy is that we have people sitting at home that could literally
be starters on this US team. It's it's mind blowing. So like you said, you said atirna Davidson.
Sophia Wilson, Mallory Swanson, Krui Bassoon, Katarina McQuarrie, Michelle Cooper. I know I'm missing
that. Michelle Cooper. I'm missing Emily. So like it's crazy. The depth of this US team that Emma
Emma hasn't has created intentionally and had off to her because that that was that's what's her
whole plan all along. And now she has such a deep roster to choose from. So I think before I
going to see a handful of maybe new people come in, depending on where they are in their return to
play. But regardless, this seems scary, no matter what. Yeah, credit to Emma Hayes,
champagne problems. And that is what we love to see with this US and this national team.
Well, everybody, that is our show. Thank you for joining us. The US is eight times she believes
champions. Sonnet believes cup is what we're calling it. She deserves all her flowers. I'm here for
that. It's going to stick. It's going to stick. Everybody, thank you so much for joining us. We
really appreciate it. Don't forget attacking. There will be back this Thursday at 11 a.m.
