Detroit Tigers lose to Washington Nationals in the rubber match at Nationals Park in Washington DC. Detroit Tigers scored 3 runs in the first inning on a Spencer Torkelson 3-run homer, but Washington came back with 5 runs in the home half of the first. Detroit Tigers pitching struggled all night as the Washington Nationals continued to pour it on and ultimately earned the 11-7 win. Detroit Tigers will head to Cleveland to take on the Cleveland Guardians in a 3-game weekend series beginning tomorrow night.
