A Moment with Joni Eareckson Tada — Tighten That Faucet. Machine-transcribed; use the interactive transcript above to jump the player to any line.
Hi, I'm Johnny Erickson Tata, and don't you hate a leaky faucet? A few nights ago I was lying in bed when I heard a drip, drip, drip. I opened one eye and realized the sound was coming from the bathroom. I whispered to Ken, but he was sound asleep, and I didn't want to wake him up. Believe me, that night I did not get much rest. The annoying drip of a leaky faucet would drive anyone crazy. So where am I going with this story? Well, Poverb's 27 says, a quarrelsome wife is like the dripping of a leaky roof and a rainstorm. Ah, yikes. That is a hard word to hear. But scripture is so useful in helping us realize what is wrong in our lives. So today ask yourself, am I being a leaky faucet? Have I been quarreling with my spouse, bickering with the kids, irritating my co-workers? If so, take them on an ask for forgiveness, and then tighten your lips as you would tighten a faucet.
