Action Network crew Brandon Kravitz and Kendra Middleton welcome Ian Hartitz from Fantasy Life to toss the pigskin around a bit. All that and more but first, the squad yells about time zones and international NFL games, right here on The Favorites. We're back every Tuesday and Thursday so subscribe, rate and review!

A ton of actionable angles on this season and major league baseball,
which by the way, Kendra starts today,
officially, even though we have the giant to the Yankees,
but you know what I mean?
Opening day is today.
How can you not be romantic about baseball?
Yay, woohoo, baseball.
I love baseball only because.
That was so fake.
Only because it means that I'm about to be in a song outside in the sun.
That's the only reason that I get excited about baseball season.
I'm like, my seasonal depression is almost over and I get the shovel hot dog in my mouth.
Let's go.
And as a resident of the state of Florida,
people wonder why baseball doesn't work quite the same in this state.
It's not that people don't like baseball.
It's that it doesn't signify the same thing here.
That it does in markets like where you are or in Chicago or in New York,
where you've been stuck inside for months and you finally get to breathe the outdoor air.
I don't really get excited about baseball until the like NHL ends and the NBA finals are over.
That's when I can like shift my attention to baseball.
I do love opening day because like I said, it means that like I'm looking up.
It's hot dog and bikini season.
However, I need to get through everything else before I can shift my focus
to baseball, but I still love it.
We are going to yeah, I mean, even even if you're not the biggest baseball person,
how can you not like opening day?
There's just something nostalgic that soothes the soul about it.
And anytime I get a sporting event on that matters at noon.
That part, that part, that's the good part.
That's I think that that's one of the reasons people love March madness, right?
Is it's like there's something going on same with like the World Cup and the Olympics.
You get something in the dead of the day where you're just
pining for anything to happen.
Yes. Why else have an iPad?
If not to stream sports in the middle of the day.
That's great.
cement NFL news for you.
By the way, we have we have dinger bets coming up at a moment.
Also Ian Hartitz from fantasylife.com is going to talk fantasy
angles with Kendra and I really excited to chop it up with Ian.
I've been following his stuff for years.
I mean, he's been around the block.
Some big time publications, pro football focus,
roto worlds and now with Matthew Barry's spot at fantasy life.
So we'll break down off season moves and some NFL draft guys and get you set for
the fantasy side of this sports betting endeavor.
So the season is set to start on a Wednesday this year in the NFL instead of a Thursday.
And the changes being made because the Rams and the 49ers are playing on Friday morning
in Australia, which is 835 PM Eastern time in the United States.
Now I misread this and sent a very dumb tweet yesterday,
which I am embarrassed to admit Kendra.
I have since deleted because it didn't make any sense.
I am a geographic time zone.
It's hard.
That's exactly it.
Time zones are so hard.
I literally do not I clown on you for a lot of shit.
I do not clown on you for this because time zones
are hard as fuck and I hate them.
Daylight savings, time zones, the worst shit ever.
So Adam Schefter shared the news on his Twitter account and then put where all the time zones
where the games are occurring.
And I didn't realize that 1035 AET meant Australian Eastern time,
which is its own fucking time zone.
Who knew?
So anyway, we're not going to have four time zones.
I think it's just like us.
How would I know that?
Okay, I know that.
But this is basically like what I was what I was envisioning was that this is going to be like
London where they're playing a game and it's like a night time for them,
but we're watching it at 930 in the morning with our team crumpets.
Well, that's not happening.
This is Friday morning for them Thursday night for us.
So we're going to get the start of the season seat.
We're going to get the Seahawks against a mystery opponent.
We don't know who that is on Wednesday.
And then Thursday night there will be a game being played in the morning in Australia.
I hope that everybody is following this.
I think I get it now, but thoughts, comments, concerns, queries.
Yes, this pisses me off.
I literally hate the foreign games so much.
Get your own damn league.
Get your own damn team.
Leave me alone.
I've been to the London games.
They're fine.
Fun.
Whatever I literally feel like that's seen in Napoleon Dynamite,
where somebody is kicking my tater tots.
No, go find your own.
Leave me alone.
I'm sick of the Brazil game.
Fuck Germany.
I don't want to go to Spain.
Let me have my football.
You're taking home games away from people who pay for a season ticket.
And I hate it.
I hate this.
I want it over.
Grow the game your own damn way.
Go away.
Leave me alone.
International games have been going on for years.
And that Friday game has been going on for the last two years.
We've been getting the the Brazil game.
And now it's gone the way of Australia.
This is the NFL trying to globalize the league.
If they take one game a year.
And here's the thing where I would push back on the on the season tickets.
First of all, I would hope that you get a discount on your season tickets.
If you don't have any as much inventory available.
No, I went to buy Jaguar season tickets this year.
They have six home games, two London games.
And half the seats in the stadium are like being renovated.
They raised ticket prices 15%.
I think somebody did the math.
Like 20% of your season ticket value this year is for preseason football.
That's insane.
Yeah, that's that's a crime.
But the at least they're giving you with these with the specifically
this Friday.
Don't do this to me.
Don't you dare.
At least they are giving you.
Divisional games where you get the opportunity every year
to see these teams walk in your building.
I would have a bigger problem with it.
Yeah, the Tennessee tie ends.
Yay, the cold.
It's like, oh, yeah, I already've already seen Daniel Jones come to the building.
We'll let Brazil or Australia have that.
I think these, I think they're going to create a wave of fans down under.
I mean, they're going to have these people looking around like,
what is this shit?
And we've been watching cricket.
That's match up that they're going to get all season.
And you're giving it to people who don't give a fuck and don't get it.
Like maybe they're NFL fans, maybe they're football fans, whatever.
But you're taking them.
But have you have you noticed that because I have not that the crowds have
have been mad at these games.
They seem like they're pretty into it.
I've been to these games.
I have at least 50 clips in my phone of jerseys at these games of people
who just found them at Goodwill and clung on to a team because they found it on
the Clarence Racket Goodwill.
It's people that maybe had a cup of coffee with the team.
Like, I love, I travel all the time.
I'm all about it. I go to soccer games when I go abroad.
But I go abroad to watch teams like Arsenal and Manchester United
because that's their thing.
That's what they have.
I don't expect it here even though they do the international friendlies.
You are taking the best game that they are going to get all season
that every single one of those real fans wants to watch and pay season tickets for.
And you're giving it to people that don't give a fuck.
And I hate it.
All right, that is I cannot deny very spicy, very spicy take.
You know what, I'm so excited for them.
I'm so happy.
I'm so happy.
Yeah, you know, you don't want to get your passport revoked.
That's the problem.
You will definitely.
Let's get to our draft King segment of the day.
Major League Baseball opening day.
We're going to hand out some dinger bets presented by draft Kings.
The crown is yours.
I am taking the most obvious home run bet of the day in Major League Baseball.
I'm going Tyler O'Neill of the Baltimore Orioles.
My Baltimore Orioles tabbed Mr.
opening day.
He has now hit a home run in six straight openers.
No matter what team he's on, he hits home runs on opening day
plus 308 on draft Kings.
That's my dinger bet of the day.
Kendra.
I actually have some good news for our draft Kings friends and family.
When I filled out our notes this morning, Roman Anthony was plus 400 to hit a home run.
He's now plus 413.
So we've got even more value because we waited a little bit longer.
So I'm going to go Roman Anthony.
He's the future of the Red Sox.
He had a good WBC.
I'm all over Roman Anthony today.
I think that he is going to be the youngest leader that this team has on the field, off the field,
all of it.
I'm going to back Roman Anthony until the wheels fall off.
I think that he is a real shot at an MVP candidate this year.
Yeha, we write it down.
When we got the email from the overlord stask for some season long predictions,
my AL MVP was Roman Anthony as well, as well.
All right.
And we did not tire.
That's right.
We did not communicate on this.
So it seemed bad to go.
That's right there presented by draft Kings.
The crown is yours.
Still to come.

One of the best follows on Twitter at iHeart.its.
He is Ian Hartitz.
Football knowledge with a splash of internet humor.
Ian, I've been following your work for a long time.
Your phenomenal at what you do.
How's life treating you?
Appreciate that, man.
Life is good.
Got out on the golf course for about 27 yesterday.
We got opening day coming in,
even though I'm not a, you know,
biggest baseball guy in the world.
We got some extra sports going on.
How can you not love that?
Yeah, man, I appreciate you guys having me on.
Of course.
So I was joking with everybody or I guess more.
So they were clowning on me for talking about the
Jalen Waddle trade as it broke last week.
And I looked at it through my myopic lens as a dolphins fan.
It's what does this, what does this mean for the rebuild?
What does it mean for why would you go get Malik Willis
and then trade the number one wide receiver on the team
after dumping Tyree Kill?
Yada, yada, yada.
And completely neglected the more impactful side
of this whole equation, which is what does this mean for
Bo-Nix, Sean Payton and the Denver Broncos.
So enlighten us on the more important angle here
of what this means for Denver and what this means for Bo-Nix.
I mean, I think it's pretty great for him.
You look at this offense.
Obviously, Quartan Sudden's been fine and Sean Payton and Bo-Nix
have found a way to still score points over these, you know,
last two seasons.
But they weren't just missing that guy that could really
instill some fear and defenses down for you.
Marvin Memes is flash it and everything.
And everything he can do is screens,
even like in the return game.
That's great, but I don't know, man.
Like, Sean Payton doesn't trust the guy enough
to play him in a full-time role.
So we have Bo-Nix continuing to throw the Troy Franklin,
which honestly, like,
worse chemistry between a pair of former college teammates
since what, like, Mason Rudolph and James Washington.
Like, it is incredible to me how many times Bo-Nix
and Troy Franklin miss on deep balls.
So they really want to do, again,
I think, just try to find someone in that offense
that is going to force safety's and say,
oh, crap.
Get them bottles on the outside now.
Like, I gotta make sure I take an extra step back here.
Because previously, I just don't think anyone
was overly scared in defenses.
So fantastic real life fit.
I think from more of a fancy perspective,
yeah, we're probably not.
Like, I didn't change my rankings all that much
because we're looking at him going
from being the undisputed number one target hog in Miami
to maybe more of a overqualified number two.
Maybe one A1B, depending on how you feel
about Sutton and Denver.
But it's going to be more of a split situation there.
But just a really good team, man.
I'll be curious, and your guys thoughts too, like,
do the Broncos have maybe the most complete roster in the NFL?
I don't think you can name more in three or four teams
in a better spot than them right now.
I would still put the Rams ahead of them.
And I think we can't neglect the team
that just won the Super Bowl with a complete roster
in Seattle.
But I can't get to four.
I think that have a more complete roster
than the Broncos Kendra.
I am an Auburn girly, and I am not a bonus truth or so.
I'm going to have to go absolutely not.
I can't get behind him.
I need him to show me some more
before I believe in this roster.
I get that, you know, Sam Darnold went out there,
not the best quarterback.
One is Super Bowl because the rest of the roster
around him was impressive enough to do so.
But I need more from Bonaix to be able to believe in him
instead of just, I think it's more Sean Payton
than it is Bonaix in that situation.
Being a being a one seed not enough
to impress Kendra Middleton.
Well, no, let's write that in Sharpie.
So Jalen Waddle, I mean, I can already hear
how the fantasy analysis is going to go.
It's going to be, you're going to have fantasy analysts
that just ride that, that middle of the fence area
where they go, well, you don't want to take Jalen Waddle
and PPR and Coral and Sutton and Standard.
I can already hear it.
Or do I like him at cost?
I like him at cost.
Do you like him or not?
Okay.
I thought he'd be out of here.
Come on.
Yeah, right.
I like Jalen Waddle in Bestball.
That's the one that always gets.
If that just to eliminate that from your jargon,
that just means you don't like the guy.
Okay, just say it.
But does anybody actually play Standard Leagues anymore?
I don't think I know a single person
that doesn't play in a league that rewards receptions.
Is that still a thing in the industry?
I'm in one, my literal OG league
with like my dad and some of his work friends.
So it's standard.
They have a head coach spot, which I actually kind of like.
You just have a head coach.
That's a team.
And if they win the game, you get three points.
If they lose, it's kind of out.
So I like that.
When I kind of love that, yeah, right.
Like it's nice.
Not even you could actually do against the spread as well.
I'll be open to that.
But like just a little bit of, you know, extra factors.
So I'm with you.
I honestly think full PPR is a little much.
I think half is a sweet spot.
I've thought about adding in the first downs and stuff like that.
But you know, it's just new and kind of gets my.
It gets me thinking about extra stuff.
Maybe not the worst thing, but half PPR is right.
Because the thing that pisses me off
and I try to show this about the season, like,
we'll see these running backs catch a two yard,
you know, pop passers have catch in the flat.
And just get absolutely drilled.
And you're like, how is that the same amount of fantasy points?
I was like a real tough, rugged eight-year-old run off the middle, man.
So it's an amazing game, amazing sport,
but we got some things that we can fix.
I want to piggyback off of the running back thing
for a conversation really quick.
So obviously lots of change in Atlanta.
The quarterback question of the future is kind of sitting there.
But how many people do you think are going to
fuck up the beach on Robinson, Brian Robinson,
Jr. thing this season?
It's going to be a, you know,
when we see the B Robinson touchdown red zone,
going to definitely send a shiver down the spine,
trying to figure out which one of them is.
And honestly, like, I was surprised that Brian Robinson
didn't have a few more suitors.
I honestly think he's a pretty good replacement
for kind of what they asked Tyler Ausyear to do there.
Someone who can, again, just handle those eight to ten
carries up the middle per game
and some of the goal line work that, you know,
it's going to piss off beach on Robinson fancy managers
because us fancy nerds and virgins
are so freaking uppity about anyone getting additional touches.
Bejones have what, 366 and 367 these last two years.
I think that's plenty, guys.
So yeah, I know Brian will get some touches here and there.
But good fit overall for the team.
I was surprised he didn't fight his way to Seattle.
Honestly, thought he would have been a good fit in Washington.
Obviously, they already kind of ran that course there.
So didn't exactly work out.
But it's going to be funny.
And hey, it reminds me, guys,
back in the early 2010s when there was obviously
stud god mode agent Peterson.
There was also backup bears running back agent Peterson.
And the most fun thing ever was to start like a mock draft
and auctions and then nominate the bears agent Peterson
and just watch the world burn.
See, now with ADP rankings within these sites,
people don't make that same mistake they used to.
So shout out to the stickers as well.
For still holding it down for us, old heads.
Jameer Gibbs loses his number two, David Montgomery.
Beijon loses Tyler Algier.
He goes to the Arizona Cardinals.
Which one of those guys they both have massive upside.
Obviously, they might go one and two in most drafts.
But which one now has an even higher ceiling
if at all possible with the side car going?
You know, it's pick whatever I'd be very,
I struggle to think of like a downside scenario for either guy.
You know, I'm saying like I don't even think there's a chance
where it's a safe one bark Lee year where he's getting, you know,
touchdowns kind of still on the goal line.
He's not going to evolve enough in the passing game.
And just especially in full PPR, which let's face it,
that's kind of like our standard of these days,
even with my issues with it.
Like just running backs, you're going to be catching 60, 70 passes.
Like they literally just don't bus.
It's like the close high receiving running backs
and like the dual threat quarterbacks, you're running a lot.
Like you just don't see those archetypes usually bus.
So I'd say Gibbs, if the Lions can get that offensive line going
a little bit better because obviously that was his culprit.
But those would be, I guess, the reddish flags.
Lions offensive line, the Falcons just maybe sucking
as a scoring offense.
And we have one of the seasons where like,
remember, Breeze Hall two years ago, he had one carry
inside the five yard line all season long.
Like that would be the one issue for Beijan
and then for Gibbs.
It would just be unfortunately some more of these games
where you look up and he has 10 carries for 20 yards
because it can't open up a hole.
But I'm also less concerned about Pacheco behind Gibbs,
you know, actually carving anything out.
Then I am maybe with Brian Robinson being a little bit annoying.
So again, probably a new point.
I think both guys are getting fed the ball plenty.
But like we saw in Detroit last year a healthy Dave Montgomery
who had done such good things without organization
just get completely phased out down the stretch.
Now Pacheco gets his one year peanuts deal.
I'm not even sure if he's going to be making the roster.
So overall, give me Gibbs.
But I do think those are like the first two picks
and fantasy drafts.
I'm like, we'll get to the wider receivers after them.
I want to keep the running back conversation going
and then we can go elsewhere if we choose
because we've kind of talked about running back
for maybe eight minutes now.
But I'm from Jacksonville Die Hard Jaguar's fan.
Travis ETN love him.
So happy for him with the Saints.
Do you think that this is more of a relevant move
for the Saints?
Do you think that he has more value there
than he did in the Jags offense?
Or does this mean more for Basel Tudon?
I would even take a liquid Alan Jr.
sleeper take here.
Oh man.
I some of the best.
I think like it took probably two hours.
Two hours of my best two hours.
The all season so far as a cut up.
I made of the liquid Alan pass pro reps and just man.
That dude is absolutely ferocious out there.
So no, it is porn right there.
I love him and it's one of those things
in Jacksonville where he is.
I'm happy you brought him up because people
aren't maybe giving up credit to the possibility
that he's taking some of those fantasy
friendly pass down, you know, snaps and targets
and all that stuff going on.
So I lean Tudon.
The Chris Rodriguez Liam cone stuff
going back to Kentucky is intriguing.
But just again, I know and all these
fantasy people are going to be shouting out.
Oh, Basel Tudon.
He didn't have a great explosive run rate and all this.
You watch the guy and every time he touches the ball, man,
it looks like he's shot out of a cannon.
So we'll continue to criticize him for that swing pass
against like the chiefs where he ran
to the back of his own player.
Because when it comes to vision,
we remember one freaking play
and that like ends up defining the people's
entire career with that.
So all that aside, I do think Tudon's going to have a chance
to lead and, you know, hype trends
longer get more higher, I think, as we get closer to season.
But for good reason, low-end RB2 at worst for me.
It's the end.
I'm just waiting to see like, how come
Cameras got to be done at this point?
I think like he don't give ETN that sort of money.
I think and bring him back Cameras.
So assuming he's out of the picture,
yeah, we're just looking at running back again
where you're paying north of $50 million.
At least that's what the original contract said.
Hard time believing he's not going to get
in that completely force fed touches.
So since offense, low key, wide open NFC South,
I think they're going to add another playmaker here
with the eighth overall pick.
And Schuck and Key playing like he was in the second half, guys.
It's going to actually be a fun little team we got here.
They're going to win the South.
I could see it.
I could see it.
I mean, why the hell open?
That is for sure.
The defense last year too was top 10 in EPA law per play.
Like that was one of the more shocking things.
Just looking back because, you know, let's face it.
Like I try to watch as much football as possible.
And I appreciate Tyler Schuck down the second half of the year.
But like that was one of those stats.
I was like, oh, damn, you know, Cam Jordan and company.
They really still did have it.
There's a little bit of a pivot.
But do you think because he was so old,
he was what, 25, 26, one of the oldest guys ever drafted.
You know, people talk about how sitting helps
and playing a ton of football helps.
But do you think that just because he was
low key and old man heading into the season that that helped him?
I do.
And we saw the same thing with Bones and Jayden Daniels
having so many college starts and coming out
and just being more experienced and ready to go.
And I think obviously the slow starts for Caleb Williams
and JJ McCarthy.
Definitely, you can also attribute to that.
So just in today's day and age too,
I mean, I saw a tweet literally before I got on here.
It was like Damirino's six season.
The numbers were just horrendous.
He had already done so much before that
that he was their franchise QB.
But like, I just think in today's day and age,
you can't afford to have to even look at McCarthy.
He had 10 games and like, you know,
seven of them were horrendous.
And now it's looking like he's not even going
to have a chance to go back there for year three
after being drafted with a 10th overall pick.
I don't think that's necessarily wrong.
But it's just a different day and age,
where you better take advantage of your first shot or two
in that season one or season two.
Otherwise, you're gonna get your job jack.
So I also think with NIO and then the COVID year
where so many guys got the extra red shirt.
Like I'm all for breakout age and dominator
and the history of quarterbacks, you know,
coming out early versus being a registered senior.
But the times are also changing enough here
where I do wonder if we're gonna see older college players
actually coming to the NFL more
because they're more ready when they do it.
And now it's like, it's not even a thing where it's like,
oh, because 10 years ago it's like,
you're not making money in college.
Why would you not go into the NFL?
And if you're not going to the NFL,
you must not be good enough to go into the NFL.
Now it's like, hell, some of these top quarterbacks.
You can make another eight million.
Show up the dudes on campus for another year.
Why would you not do it?
So yeah, very much evolving with the age of ramification.
But we're seeing the same thing with those end of first round
second round picks in the NBA too.
There's very, very real money.
And you've already had the awesome experience.
Remember, we saw Matt Liner in an age of non-legal pay
for college athletes say, I love college so much.
I don't want to be the number one overall pick
and then wound up dropping 10 spots the following year.
But you two are neglecting the Brandon Whedons
and the Chris Wankies of the world.
Okay, just because you're old and you come into the NFL,
it doesn't make you good.
You got to be good first.
And then being old, perhaps is a supplement to that.
Let's put it to the wide receivers.
Romeo,
Oh, man, listen, I'm bringing up the Chris Wankies stats.
Romeo Dobbs.
Now the number one wide receiver in New England.
At least that's what it looks like on papers.
Is that the way that we're going to treat him in fantasy?
Or is this very much a wait and see with what they do in the draft?
I don't know how you guys feel about the people's insider, Ricky.
But he did hop back on the old first year about a week ago.
I love me some Ricky.
And he did say June 2nd, AJ Brown, the Patriots.
So we will see what happens.
But that would make more sense to me.
Nothing is Romeo Dobbs.
I was underrated in Green Bay.
Everyone always wanted Don Tapion.
Wix to become a thing.
And no, Christian Watson, Jane Reed.
But Don's just one consistently going out there.
Had some big playoff games as well.
He's fine.
But you know, if we're kind of going through Dobs as a player,
like, you know, using almost like the backyard sports,
backyard football terminology,
where we just,
we just have like the kind of five key attributes.
He's a three out of five or maybe, you know,
a four out of six and pretty much everything.
He's fine.
Jack of all trades master of none type of wide receiver.
And it's good to have those guys.
But sorry, Patriots fans.
Like if we went through every single team
and just ranked their number one wide receiver,
like Dobs is going to be closer to 32 and 16.
And that's just the way it is.
Now, if all of a sudden we bring an AJB and we have AJB,
we have Romeo Dobbs and we have Cation Booty.
Like that's a pretty good wide receiver trio.
And I think all of a sudden you really are trying
to make an effort to improve that.
So again, nothing against Dobs as a player.
Much more excited about him as a number two.
The number one.
So really do hope to get that AJB deal done.
Do you think that AJ Brown would have more value
staying with the Eagles?
Or do you think that he'd have more value with the Patriots?
I see this because I cover the Patriots.
I think the Patriots offensive line
will cause some serious issues in his production.
And that's my fear if he does wind up coming here,
even though the volume he would get would be higher.
Yeah, my initial thought would be chasing the better volume.
And you know, I'm not here as slander, jail nurse,
but I do just think traditional dropback passing.
We can feel a little bit better about Drake May
from that standpoint.
So I would lean New England,
but it is one of these things where
when players change teams, the brand new offense,
I mean, stuff on Diggs.
And he's going to be 30, 29, 30.
And father time's undefeated.
That needs kind of a ticking time bomb.
So there is enough variables going on to, you know,
make it's not like, I think right now,
assuming AJ Brown's on the Eagles,
I think I have most of my wide receiver 12
or wide receiver 13.
Maybe I'm moving up a couple spots,
but like, no, I'm not going from wide receiver 13
to all of a sudden wide receiver five
just because he's on the Patriots.
So I do like to think that, you know,
reunited with Mike variable.
It's a team coming off a suitable locker room.
It's obviously in a good position.
I do think they would be in this sort of spot
to, you know, handle maybe some of AJB's,
you know, cryptic messages and stuff,
but maybe the Eagles aren't done as well.
Okay, I would love to see Ricky be right now.
I do really respect Ricky Sanks up before it's finalized,
like every other freaking insider out there
don't get really give us any good rumors.
But it was interesting that the Eagles brought in Elijah Moore,
who if you guys remember, you know,
best friends basically with AJ Brown,
go back to their days with Ole Miss.
So maybe Philly's not going down without a fight here.
What about Mike Evans?
He's been kind of a lock for a thousand yards.
Lots of touchdowns to every single season
that he's been in the league.
He's obviously going out to the land of electro
magnetic fields and injuries now.
What do you think his value looks like heading into the season?
I think the 49ers landing spot is spectacular
if those freaking injury gods can just chill out for one season.
So again, looking at it, I think to one,
Jennings is gone.
That's kind of the one last free agent.
We've had out there wondering what he's going to do.
Also seems like again, Brandon.
And Isaac's plays last nap there.
So that leaves us basically with just
Evans and Ricky Pearceau, you know,
in terms of guys who are really going to be demanding targets.
So I got the draft to go on.
It would be nice to see them add, you know,
more of a yak-minded slot type of dude.
Like God forbid, if McCoy Aleman could follow them,
that would be hot.
Casey Concepcion may be a little bit more realistic there.
But just again, in terms of having the opportunity,
okay, he could be looking at 130 plus targets
easy in San Fran given, you know,
also Kittle being injured.
Having the quarterback,
Brock Hurdy gets so much slender.
I don't freaking get it.
Call him a system quarterback.
You're wrong.
But even if you want to go ahead and do that,
the dude's first all time in yards per attempt.
And pass a rating.
So I think the system's working pretty well.
We can at least agree on that.
And then obviously again,
just being on a really good team as we've seen them,
you know, always a lock,
seemingly to be content for the NFC Championship,
at least whenever they got everyone healthy.
So I think Evans, again,
father time, some of the issues with the AJ Brown,
certainly apply here too.
But just Mike Evans is one of those guys
where I could see us all, you know,
as a fantasy community,
ranking them out,
why receiver 23,
why receiver 24.
And then my week two were just like,
oh my god,
Mike Evans getting 10 targets per game in this offense.
Like that's a top 10, why receiver right there?
That's such a good point with the system.
Like I don't, I don't think that that gets said enough
that if a guy is a system quarterback,
but the system is elite,
that makes him elite.
If he's operating elite,
Max Jones kept that team alive.
It is a, I can't,
Max Jones,
he kept the system rolling.
What's so crazy about the Mac Jones thing?
What, because if you were like,
if you were told before the season,
like,
Mac Jones is going to have a really good five games,
he'd be like, okay, well,
Kettle and CMC and these guys,
much just been carrying him.
Kendrick Bore was going for 140 yards
in the back to back games,
like all those other dudes were still injured,
but that's the other thing I will say,
with Brock Purti,
I'm old enough to remember in 2023,
we had those three games.
Well, enough to remember three years ago.
Yeah, right.
You know, Emily, and we're talking about 20 yards.
Right, but we were missing two guys in 2023,
and the offense like sputtered a little bit,
and all of a sudden,
Purti became this guy.
We're like, okay,
you take away a playmaker, though,
and what do you have?
These last two years,
nobody has been healthy and San Fran,
and they passed the game as long as they kept on keeping on.
So again, credit to Purti.
Max Jones though,
it's really fun to look at the backup quarterbacks,
you know, in the league,
maybe you could find,
you know, greener grass somewhere else,
and he's obviously on the top of that list.
So Max Jones, Tanner Vakey out there in Philly,
I still got my jail in Milrose stock,
you know, sitting behind Darnal and Seattle.
So I would be intrigued to see where Max Jones lands next.
True fantasy guy.
Any quarterback with some wheels,
never falls completely off the radar
until they retire.
That is for sure.
One more on the White Receiver Front.
I've heard so much hype around Luther Burton
since the DJ Mortrade.
You'd think this guy was Randy Moss.
Are you in or is he gotten too pricey already,
even though, I mean, we're not even to April yet.
And I've seen this guy get pushed up
on these best ball drafts.
So it just feels like a little much.
Where do you land on him?
I know, man.
It's just he moves out of different speed on the field.
And you can pull up the cool advanced stats too.
Best yards per out run.
Mark of a rookie White Receiver.
Last 10 years, smaller sample in some of those guys.
But I think I'm probably going to buy into it.
I just think trying to objectively,
you know, use my eyes and look at him
versus Roma Doons and even Colson Loveland.
Like Burton just has that different level of ability
with the football on his hands.
Obviously, that was his calling card out of Missouri.
So it took a while to get integrated into the offense.
And I do think that, you know,
had a couple of injuries going on
that maybe helped him get that boom.
And we also have this tendency
where week 17, you know, he didn't do much of anything
kind of a before or after that.
But when he gives someone 138 yards
and a touchdown in the fancy championship,
that's going to leave, you know,
a nice little impression in everyone's mind.
So I think just overall,
even if the price is going to be top 20,
which seems a bit outlandish,
we lost DJ Moore, which is obviously a key, you know,
tire competition piece.
So we've condensed this passing game from four guys to three.
I believe in Caleb Williams.
I believe in Ben Johnson.
I can only see the other partnership, you know,
being that much better in year two.
So I'm trying not to overthink it.
I hear you.
It is a lot.
And it's a big step.
But I think there's enough, like,
what would be the issue, I guess, with Luther Byrne?
It's just saying like, well,
his rookie year wasn't spectacular.
It wasn't, but I still think we know
he's a really talented player.
We like the quarterback.
We like the play collar.
We like the offense.
And there's more targets available.
I feel like the arrow is pointing
in enough correct directions to be excited here.
So I want to piggyback off of the quarterback values situation.
We saw Daniel Jones was not on anybody's radar last year
and wound up being a little bit of a fantasy beast for a moment.
Are there any of these guys with changes of scenery
that you see having value or that you might be looking for
with like a really late round pick?
Or if someone's quarterback goes down,
is it the Kylers?
Is it the two of us?
Is it God forbid, Geno Smith?
Is there any of these guys that you could see
maybe being like a Daniel Jones 2.0 of last season?
I think the Kyler call makes a lot of sense.
And I think to a lesser extent, I expect to say
from real life, I don't expect the same real life success
out of Malik Willis in Miami.
But hey, we've seen plenty of bad real life quarterbacks
still be good in fantasy.
Guys, take some hell and Tim Tebowl.
These guys can barely throw a forward pass.
And guess what?
They were still fantasy rock stars as long as they had
that starting job.
So it's not a given.
OK, last season, Justin Fields proved that, yes,
even on a team with really no competition,
you can still play bad enough to get benched.
But man, Miami, I just have a hard time believing
they're going to be benching Malik Willis
unless just really the wheels fall off.
And if that happens, like we just don't see these guys bus.
Here's a stat I got.
Since 2014, there's been 34 quarterbacks
have at least 100 rush attempts in a season.
31 of them, 91% of those quarterbacks
were on the post top 12 fantasy numbers.
On a per game basis, I'm not even doing the dickhead thing
where I just take guys that played 17 games
using the total numbers.
So again, Malik Willis, Kyler, they both run enough.
I think just by verdict of that,
they're going to finish probably as lower NQB ones.
Now, usually, because everyone's kind of wise up
in this phenomenon, we see those guys being priced
as top 10 quarterbacks.
You got a draft, Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson
in the first five rounds.
I think the Malik Willis and Kyler,
we actually have a chance to finally have
these later round quarterbacks.
Again, that can run the football.
Also, very excited about what both of them
could bring the table.
Well, I am drunk on Kyler and fantasy.
That is going to be my target in every single
Falcon's future.
I do 75 to 1 to win the Super Bowl.
And then they went inside and two.
So he haunts me forever.
I can't get away from this fucking guy.
All right, let's let's talk draft.
Do you have a Raiders hat on right now?
And here we are neglecting the fact
that you're going to get a new quarterback.
Are you a fan or do you just like the hat?
By the way, I don't want to be too presumptuous.
I just like the hat.
I like written for the bad guys, you know what I'm saying?
Yeah, they are.
They are the Raiders.
The Autumn wins.
Let's talk Fernando Mendoza.
What does he do?
I don't know.
I don't think we're going to get too pumped
about drafting Mendoza,
but it's more about what he does for those options.
And a guy who was a very pricey and drafts last year
and Brock Bowers.
He was a French first rounder
and didn't really return that level of value.
Now he gets a new quarterback.
So what does Mendoza do?
Does it up the stock down the stock?
Where are we on Bowers?
Anybody else in that offense?
Just obviously,
Geno Smith wasn't putting his best forward.
Best foot forward.
Last year kind of put it nicely.
But hey, offensive line.
Obviously, Pete Carroll's son,
whoever it was leading the team.
Like that was a disaster.
Worst offensive line in the league.
And he asked him,
Gen T, fantasy manager can tell you that.
And also, like, you know,
when Chip Kelly is getting fired before December,
I think we can probably agree.
The scheme wasn't exactly in a great spot either.
So a lot of room to improve.
I think the Raiders roster.
I'm not saying they've gone from,
you know, 30 second to first.
Or anything like that.
But I thought they took some nice steps
in free agency as annoying as it is
that the Ravens kind of backed out of that trade.
Like you get the bring back Max Crosby.
He's going to be on anyone's short list
of the best defensive players in the league.
So I think the Raiders got at least
to be more of a feisty, bad team.
Kind of like what they were.
The previous few years before.
Obviously, the bottom really fell out in 2025.
But now that Mendoza,
I know the comps for him.
It's more like Ryan Tano,
Cousins type of guy.
And like it's taking someone at number one.
You're like, oh, the best case you can be,
you know, the eighth or ninth best quarterback in the league.
It's a little bit of, you know,
issue getting past that.
But just, I don't know, man, the 65 to 20.
We know the guy can move a little bit
seeing the national championship.
Had some other good scrambles throughout the year.
And just this dude's confidence
and ability to take a freaking beating
against Ohio State of Miami.
Like getting the living shit kicked out of him
for basically the first three to four,
you know, two to three quarters of that game.
And then still taking over down the stretch.
Really was impressive.
So I think it's superpowers that back shoulder fade.
Obviously saw some from Omar Cooper in a last drop.
But man, Charlie Becker, you know,
get ready to hear some white wide receiver comps
with that dude next year when he's coming out.
So a lot of really good stuff from the Indiana office.
And again, it was just watching Mendoza
throughout the year consistently
and so efficiently find the next guy to go to.
I think he's going to add a minimum.
Even if he doesn't make this offense,
you know, from worst to first or anything,
I think he's going to raise the floor so much.
And if we do have a situation where,
all right, they gave Jalen Naylor $36 million.
I think it's going to be a blow average offense,
but we're going to have such condensed volume
around bars and genty.
That's probably going to be fine.
Even the last year, guys, disaster worst case scenario,
a quarterback play in the offense.
Bowers were still to tight into and fancy points for game.
Genty, like think about how bad everything went.
He was still a top 15 running back out there.
So that's again, we have that much volume going to two guys.
Like you don't even need to be this great offense
for still to kind of work out in fancy line.
I get so much of the draft is where guys go,
but is there any guy in this draft
that it does not matter where he winds up?
You're looking to snag them.
This Jordan Tyson.
I know the injury gods have been, you know,
not nice to him last three full seasons.
I was unfortunately ended on the sideline,
but just why I look at Carnot Tate.
It's like, all right, great outside fuel stretch
or wide receiver.
How some questions if you can go
from being overqualified to to a one?
I think there's like certain teams
I'd be more excited about.
Then Makai Leman, like you kind of want a team willing
to feature number one wide receiver in the slot.
We've seen plenty of them.
Obviously, they monitor us St. Brown comps.
Like it's very possible.
But just with Tyson, he wins in the slot.
He wins on the outside six to 200.
He hasn't been able to test,
but he is just so freaking twitchy
with every single thing he does out there.
I do not think you can name an NFL team
where Jordan Tyson wouldn't immediately come in.
Be a starter in through wide receiver sets
and help out in a major way.
So going back to the dolphins, man,
would love to see them go there.
Get 150 targets and have no issue
from day one, but even if it's, you know,
Washington, New Orleans, Kansas City,
Los Angeles Rams.
Again, I just think all these teams
will kill to have someone like Jordan Tyson.
And maybe I'm just a sucker for the, you know,
twitchy separation route running ability.
And maybe Tyson does a little bit
almost extra flair of that.
Then he needs to out there.
But I see like an exo Deontay Johnson.
I see a Gen Z Amari Cooper here.
Just guys who are again, zone man coverage alike.
They're going to win against whoever's in front of them.
Another old man gets a mention here on the podcast
in Amari Cooper, what about the guy at the top of the draft
in terms of the offensive fantasy weaponry
and Jeremiah love Kendra said,
who do you like no matter where they land?
I would think Jeremiah love might be on that list.
But is there a spot at the top of the draft?
It doesn't look like he's going to fall out of the top 12.
But this point, top 10, maybe even top five
with the steam that he's getting.
Is there a place you want to see him end up?
Washington, I think will be best.
I'm him and Jane Daniels.
That's one of the more electric
rushing backfields that you know,
you can even dream of there.
And obviously there's not much going on there.
I can't, we are so just deprived of news.
I guess that we freak out over everything of March,
which is fine.
But like, we're shot like got what one year, $2 million deal
and we had to spend all freaking week talking about,
you know, that impact.
We're shot white like who knows if he's even going to have
a role in this rotation here going on.
So Washington is that one backfield that just continues
to be completely wide open.
The Saints obviously brought an ETM like we talked about.
The Chiefs won a head in Brown, Kenneth Walker.
So those were kind of the three spots where it was like,
okay, well, any of those would be fantastic.
Cause we could actually have some belief in those offenses
and they had the running back hole.
And now it really is just washed in.
So Tennessee at four situation where Pollard
and they would, you would think probably just cut him
at that point if they decided to draft Jeremiah.
I love his contract is set up that way for them
to do if they want.
I will say giants are browns.
I don't know how likely it is he goes there.
But going in there or giants wouldn't be ideal.
That could be more of a boom and zoom situation
to scatiboo like scatiboo does enough good things
around the goal line also just as a complete player
in the passing game that that would be the one part
where it's like all of a sudden we sit down
for the projections and Jeremiah loves looking a little bit
closer, you know, 250, 260 touches as opposed
to the 350 you might we might get elsewhere.
So we've seen this man like Jameer Gibbs
and you know, going number 12, the Lions,
putting him in Montgomery, even Bijan Robinson
couldn't get 300 touches as a rookie
playing next to Tyler out years.
So the giants would be the one spot where yeah, sure,
he's going to help the football team be better.
But just from a pure workload standpoint,
I don't think it'd be as ideal
as somewhere like Washington.
Final question from me.
I know that you clock some tea online from time to time
because I see your tweets.
I am not a Mac a fee girl,
but I'm actually going to give credit where credit is due.
He called our law of ski out for pushing
the Thai Simpson agenda yesterday.
Is Thai Simpson really the shit?
Is he the number two quarterback in this draft?
I think it's Garrett and us Meyer.
But you know what, I'll give credit where credit is due.
Is this just someone is paying him to say things
or is this just a hot take for hot take sake?
I don't think anyone's actually paying him.
I've seen the whole like, okay,
they got the same agency and that stuff going on.
But I don't know.
I think what Blaski watches ball and he's trying to do
is say that the interview with Mac, if he wasn't the best,
like trying to say Mendoza didn't play in big games
where for that.
That was crazy.
That was a really crazy.
But he just got caught heated.
We've all been there, but that was a wild thing to say.
But you know, in his defense, you know,
I think we've all said some stupid things as well,
but we're not talking on the pat Mac, we show some,
maybe they don't get elevated, they're quite the same way.
So I will say it's, and I don't even,
I don't mind the Nuss Meyer call at all,
because you watch back especially in 2024
and that dude was doing some amazing things.
Some big reasons why he was on top
of the way to early mock drafts.
But that was also the kind of the case for Thai Simpson.
I love Dame Berugler.
I think he's probably the best in the business
at what he does and everything.
And if you go look at the end of October,
I mean, in his way to early big board,
he had Thai Simpson as QB1
because those first seven, eight games last year
were incredible.
I mean, there was constant film was freaking ridiculous.
He went ahead, beat Georgia in Athens.
Like that's an incredible win.
Even some of the stuff he did against Tennessee
was really good as well.
And when we see a big drop off, we have to ask why.
And it goes right hand in hand with the injuries
that he was dealing with during the second half
of that season at Bama.
So it's a weird player evaluation
because he's an older prospect,
but he doesn't have the experience.
He's not gonna completely blow you away
with the physical traits.
But this is still a five star quarterback
who out of freaking Bama thought enough of
to go ahead and lead their team from multiple years.
Yeah, he couldn't beat out Jalen Milro.
Still a third ground pick
and someone with all the tools in the world.
So Thai Simpson for me, my QB2,
I got Mendoza at QB1, but I don't think it's a ludicrous thought
to think that Simpson could eventually
have a better overall NFL career.
So I'll give a slight edge to Orblastki there,
but there are a few quarterbacks.
Nuss Meyer, I don't think two hours could have football,
but a lot of these QB scout guys
like some of the things he does.
He just has aura.
He has aura.
He's the definition of it.
It's the headband.
It's just the headband.
He doesn't actually have aura.
Just like Penn State played in a lot of big games
over his last three years.
One time drew, one time.
Can you give me a true big time performance?
But there's also the, oh my God,
who's the North Dakota state kid
with all the freaking tools in the world?
There's a handful of quarterbacks here.
I know it's not a top heavy class,
but like guys that are gonna go between rounds three and five.
There's a couple of interesting guys there.
We'll see, we'll see how it goes down.
North Dakota's North Dakota state with tools.
It sounds a lot like Tray Lantz.
We see how that worked out.
Heck is it guys?
Uh, cool Peyton.
Cool Peyton, yes.
Thank you like that.
I saw a, all the way.
Yeah, fantastic.
I follow on Twitter is Jetpack Galileo
and he was saying like cool Peyton is Taseham Hill
if he could actually throw a football
more than 40 yards downfield.
So got my attention there.
We'll see if maybe cool Peyton
becomes the number one quarterback in his class.
Gosh, we start running with that.
Oh, of that.
Let's push that agenda fantasy life.com is where you can find them.
