Titans' Free Agency Splash, Homegrown Stars' Extensions

On March 26th, the Tennessee Titans made the biggest splash in free agency this off-season,

handing out more total cash than any other team to bring in key veterans.

They added why receiver Wandel Robinson, defensive lineman John Franklin Myers,

and cornerbacks Alente Taylor and Coredale Flott, among others.

Even with that aggressive spending, around $3.31 million total, including $135 million on free.

Agents, their cap situation looks solid. They sit with about $56 million in effective space right now.

Fans and analysts see this as a smart reset under General Manager Mike Borgonzi,

rewarding homegrown stars like left guard Peter Skoronsky and defensive tackle Jeffrey Simmons

with extension soon. Both players anchor the roster and deserve long-term security.

Skoronsky, a first-round pick, wraps his rookie deal after next season if they exercise his

option, while Simmons seeks more guarantees on his current. Contract, through 2027.

Their elite play last year makes these deals no brainers. With room for draft picks,

depth ads, and capital over into next year, the Titans are building from a position of strength

for the long haul.
