On September 2nd, so the Tennessee Titans just wrapped up their first official practice of the regular season and coach Robert Salah drop some. Intel. The big news coming out of it was the injury report. Rookie Carnell Tate and Tate and David Martin Robinson were both held out of today's practice. Tate's dealing with some stiffness and Martin Robinson is just a little sore after the preseason finale so they're giving them a rest day to play it. Safe. Something kind of interesting, Salem mentioned, was his plan for the practice qualifiers or what he calls the next to 16. He's got them working at different positions, which is a smart move to keep them engaged and developing as the season kicks off. It's all about getting those guys ready for whatever might come up. Salah also touched on facing his old team, the New York Jets, in week one. He's got some history there, obviously, but the focus is on getting the Titans ready to compete. This week is shaping up to be a walk through style for them, really dialing in on game prep for that opener.

They're back at it tomorrow, continuing to build towards that first regular season game. It sounds like they're taking a measured approach, especially with those guys nursing minor issues and really trying to get the whole roster sharp. The teams definitely using this week to get into the rhythm of a game week, getting their minds right and their bodies ready for the Jets. It's all about that preparation and making sure everyone's dialed in for the start of the season. Football News, powered by AI. This is NFL News Today. I'm Corey with the story.
