Send Me A Text Message I would love to know where you are listening to me from!!
Hello again Golfists,
I tried to get up early for the final round but Nothing But Commercials made it very difficult for me to stay engaged with the early round coverage. Coupled with the endless mobile phone commercials and blackheaded golf club manufacturers yelling at me so early in the morning, it was really tough for me to keep watching. However I did enjoy the Doosan commercials where diggers were moving the earth.
Coverage provided by NBC was spread a bit thin between lead analysts being in their Stamford Connecticut NBC studios and on course reporters, cameramen, and production personnel being on remote in Sandwich England. Olympics opening ceremonies start next Friday in Tokyo. I reckon that most if not all of the NBC personnel on the ground at Royal St. George's will be making their way to Tokyo for the Olympics.
I got up a little later that I should have and found that Oosthuizen had fallen out of the lead. But this final round was all about Collin Morikawa. Morikawa's performance and execution of shots that I observed were so amazing to watch. He ranked number 1 in putting this week and his iron play is simply staggering to watch. I cannot wait to see Collin Morikawa at a tournament one day to watch him hit balls on the range. Such an amazing win for someone from Southern California!!
The Champion Golfer Of The Year is Collin Morikawa!!!
