0:57
to my podcast animated face. In today's episode, if you could tell by that's audio, you just
1:03
heard that was a clip from a scene from Disney's Peter Pan, which today's episode is in reference
1:12
to that audio you just heard. Today's episode is part of season 2, part 2, tune in to
1:21
melody. And today's episode is called to lead, provide, and protect. In that scene, John, Michael,
1:39
and the lost boys were heading towards a new place. And all the lost boys and
1:51
Michael, his brother, were following him as their leader, because Peter Pan made John the leader.
2:04
They sang of, we're following the leader wherever he may go. Genesis 121 says, the Lord
2:11
had said to Abraham, leave your native country, your relatives, and your father's family,
2:17
and go to the land that I will show you. When you step into something new or go to some place
2:23
that is new and different, it may feel exciting, or it may feel nerve-wracking. You may even feel both
2:30
excited and intimidated at the same time. Especially when you leave something behind that you've known,
2:37
or leave a certain place behind that has always been familiar to you. As you walk towards new things
2:45
in your life, things you've never done before, places you've never been before, someone you've
2:50
never met before. You may be a little hesitant about what to expect. Before you venture out into
2:58
the brand new things in your life, it's important to have a lead, to have someone as a leader, a helper,
3:04
someone they are advising you on wherever you wander, left or right, and those times that you
3:13
don't know what to do where to go. A leader will help guide you in the way you should walk.
3:19
If you try to lead your own life about where you will walk, where you won't, what you should do,
3:24
what you shouldn't do. Sometimes, as you're going along the path for your life, you could wander
3:30
onto another path that isn't a part of the plan and purpose God has for you. Plans for hope and
3:37
a future are by following the path that leads you to the way, the truth, and the life.
3:44
If you make God the leader of your life and follow wherever he shows you to walk, even if the way
3:51
before you is new, different, and unfamiliar, it won't feel as intimidating with him who is always
3:58
by your side. You will not be shaken for he is right beside you, following the leading of the
4:04
Lord wherever you walk in your life. He is your good shepherd to provide to guide and to protect
4:12
you wherever you may go. If you're following after his lead, then you won't end up lost, like lost
4:20
boy. So, are you following the Lord wherever he may go? It may not be where you want to go,
4:27
or what you expect it to be, but the Lord is your shepherd who will lead and guide you along the
4:33
right path for your life, even if you go somewhere that he shows you to go, and it's unfamiliar,
4:39
uncertain, or little intimidating to you. As he walks through this land, this place, this season,
4:46
this situation, the darkest valleys of your life do not fear, forgot his with you, and his rod and
4:53
staff will protect and comfort you as you make him the leader of your life and follow his lead.
5:00
The word of God will be a lamp to your feet and a light to your path. In life, you make many plans
5:06
for this and that, where you will go and where you will stay, what you will do or won't do, but
5:12
the Lord's plan and purpose will prevail. If you follow the leader, the leader, the leader,
5:21
and keep following wherever he may go, you do not need to worry about what surrounds you and
5:28
takes you by surprise. Walk by faith, trust, and shake the dust from your feet.
5:36
Where can you go from him, where he will not also be there with you? For if God is for you,
5:45
then who can be against you? Step by faith. Lord, our shepherd, help us to trust your call.
5:53
Step out in faith and follow you wherever you may lead us to go. Amen.
6:02
Thank you so much, as always, for tuning in. I appreciate it.
6:11
You listening in on today's episode and my podcast in general animated faith, I very much
6:20
appreciate you tuning in and listening. As always, I will have the verses for thought,
6:28
my email and today's step by faith in the show notes of each episode and today's episode
6:38
again called to leave, provide, and protect. In reference to Disney's Peter Pan
6:46
that would be year. I believe I have that pulled up here. In reference, I also want to
6:59
be clear that this reference is for Disney's Peter Pan 1953, the movie from 1953.
