Wealth is built by those who build things that other people use.
Empires are not formed by desire; they are formed by service at scale. The more lives you touch, the more value flows back to you — not as charity, but as compensation for usefulness.
This is why to make a million, you must help a million.
Not with speeches. Not with intentions.
But with something practical, repeatable, and valuable.

Remember, it shall never be well with poverty, so get ready to turn those what-ifs into old-year.
Let's go.
Somewhere last year I had the opportunity to sit in a meeting with a setting group of prominent people,
very influential, very wealthy people, and you were asking me the signs behind how I had made a million dollars
and we were just having the conversation, we kept talking, we kept talking,
and everybody was sharing their perspective, and I said to them when it got to me,
I said that to make a million, help a million.
That's my basic framework around touching a million, and they were like,
M.B. explained further, I said to make a million, help a million.
And so for those of you that follow my body of work last year, I made a carousel post
where I said how I made my first million, I think it's across my socials.
And so today on the Thought Become Things podcast, I want to talk to you guys about making a million.
That's to say, to make a million, help a million.
Now, there's a quite misunderstanding about money that keeps a lot of people stuck.
We often treat worth as something to be chased.
We often treat worth as something that needs to be hunted for,
as something that needs to be conned or cracked like a secret code.
But money is not a price, it is a response.
Money is not a price, it is a response.
It moves towards value, it follows usefulness, it gathers around those who solve problems at scale.
That is what money is.
So if you are here listening on the conversation today, and you do not have money,
and you feel stuck, and you feel like you are in a certain state economically speaking,
and I want you to understand that money is not a price, it is a response.
It moves towards value, it follows usefulness, it gathers around those who solve problems at scale.
So money is not the goal, money is the echo, money is not the goal, money is the echo.
When it comes to financial wealth, few shifts are as potent as moving from being a consumer to becoming a creator.
Listen to what I just said again, that when it comes to financial wealth,
few shifts are as potent as moving from being a consumer to becoming a creator.
For lots of you who are listening that are looking at making a million,
you have just one task to do, to move from being a consumer to becoming a creator.
Because consumers exchange money for relief, creators exchange value for influence,
once spends what exists, the other brings something new into the world.
So every empire maker understood this instinctively.
Now, Bernard Arnold once said that money is just a consequence.
Don't worry about profitability, do your job well, make the lives of others better.
Profitability will come.
He said, money is just a consequence.
Don't worry about profitability, do your job well, make the lives of others better.
Profitability will come.
That statement for me has been one of the things that has helped me a lot in my becoming
and in my understanding of creating wealth.
It's not just a poetic statement, it's architecture, it is very profound for building wealth.
Because wealth is built by those who build things that other people have.
That is what true wealth is.
Wealth is built by those who build things that other people use.
So empires are not formed by desire.
They are formed by service at skill.
Empires are not formed by desire.
They are formed by service at skill.
The more lives you touch, the more value flows back to you.
Not as charity, but as compensation for usefulness.
This is why to make a million you must help a million.
Not with speeches, not with intentions, but with something practical, repeatable and valuable.
So you see, for somebody like me who is a knowledge merchant, I help as many of us as possible by means of knowledge.
But I'm also an entrepreneur, so I employ people, I provide value on the market,
and I get paid for my value on the market.
So it's very important that we understand that if you want to make a million you must help a million
that is practical, something that is repeatable and something that is valuable.
Every major fortune in history traces back to this pattern.
If you pay close attention, you will notice that every major fortune in history traces back to this pattern.
Someone observed a need, a frustration, a gap or an inefficiency,
and decided to save it better than anyone else.
And what happened?
The world does not reward efforts, a reward's impact.
It rewards the impact that comes from the efforts that you put in.
So most people think small, not because they lack ambition, but because they think only of themselves.
They only think about themselves.
How much can I make?
How fast can I grow? How soon can I escape?
By the way, the guys who truly move industries, and the guys who make millions in their days, they are the creators.
They ask different questions. Do you know the kind of questions they ask people?
They ask how many people can this help?
How much friction can this remove? How much better can this make someone's day?
How much better can this make someone's wake? How much better can this make someone's life?
So the people who are truly destined to touch greatness in terms of finances at a certain scale, do not think about themselves.
When you answer those questions well, money stops being chased.
It starts chasing you.
And here is the uncomfortable truth that consumption capsules.
Creation multiplies you.
Consumption, it capsules.
Creation multiplies you.
So when you consume, your ceiling is your income.
When you create, your ceiling is your reach.
I take it again. When you consume, your ceiling is your income.
But when you create, your ceiling is your reach.
So what happens?
Creators build once and save money. Consumers pay repeatedly for what someone else builds once.
So creators, they build once and save money. Consumers pay repeatedly for what someone else builds once.
That is not judgment. It's basic economics that I want you to understand.
So every product, every platform, every service and system you admire exists because someone chose to create rather than merely participate.
So what happens? Creators think in disruption.
Creators think in distribution. Creators think in distribution. Consumers think in acquisition.
And this is why the greatest fortunes are attached to things the majority uses.
So think about food systems. Think about clothing. Think about housing. Think about transportation.
Think about media. Think about technology. Think about finance. Think about education.
These are things that a lot of people, the majority use globally.
If you're in Asia, if you're in Africa, if you're in America, if you're in Europe, you still need food systems.
You still need clothing. You still need housing. You still need transportation.
You still need media. You need technology. You need finance. You need education.
So empire makers don't sell to elites alone. They sell for the masses with excellence.
They understand skill. And you know the beautiful thing about skill.
Skill is not about greed. It's about reach. Skill is not about greed. It's about reach.
The more people your work reaches, the more value it accumulates.
Which is why I'm excited about every single comment, every share that comes from a community of the thought becomes things broadcast.
Because the more you share our work, the more value accumulates in the lives of people, the more value it accumulates,
the more wealth it generates. And you see, wealth is not just money tree.
I always teach this. And that's how come my book, the seven universal occurrences for leveraging anything in this world touches on these things extensively.
And this is why generosity and profitability are not opposites. They are partners.
When you make the lives of others better consistently, money becomes a natural side effect, not because you demanded it,
but because you ended through usefulness. And this principle applies far beyond villainess.
You don't need to build an empire to leave this truth. You can start where you are.
You can start in that small single room you are in. You can start in that small town where nobody knows you,
with your skill, with your craft, with your insight, with your experience.
So I want you to ask yourself, what problem do I need to understand deeply?
What frustration do I notice that others ignore?
What do people already come to me for? Because your earning power is often hidden inside your awareness.
Your earning power is often hidden inside your awareness. So how aware are you?
Wealth does not require reinvention. It requires attentiveness. The baker saves hunger. The designer saves clarity.
The engineer saves efficiency. The teacher, like MBA, saves understanding. And all value solves something.
And the greater the solution, the greater the reward. The greater the solution, the greater the reward.
This is also why shots cuts rarely work. Because money gained without value, lacks roots.
It disappears as quickly as it arrives. But money and through service develops gravity. It stays.
It grows. And it compounds. So I want you to understand that to make a million, you must save a million.
And sustainable wealth is built on contribution, not extraction. Empire makers don't ask, how do I tick more?
They ask, how do I save better? Empire makers, they don't ask, how do I tick more? They ask, how do I save better?
And in doing so, they reverse the flow. What happens? The market rewards them. Customers stay loyal.
Reputation compounds, opportunities expand. So if wealth is part of your calling, which I believe it is the calling of every single one of you listening in on today's conversation, then there is nothing immoral about abundance.
Then reframe your pursuit because wealth is part of your calling. And there is nothing immoral about abundance.
Couple of days ago, I made a post and I said, in this year 2026, no matter how you think money is evil, never count poverty for righteousness.
No matter how evil you think money is, never count poverty for righteousness. So reframe your pursuit. Don't chase money, chase mastery, chase usefulness, chase skill, solve bigger problems for more people and money will find you.
Because in the end, wealth is simply society's way of saying thank you for value rendered and the formula remains timeless.
To make a million, help a million, build what people need, save with excellence and let money arrive as the consequence it was always meant to be.
