Well, the Dodger Survive another rocky night, thenning there, that was, that was not pretty. We're going to talk about that. We're going to talk about that in a second. We're also going to talk about Tommy Edmund. Being himmathy, we're going to talk about some ending building. We're going to talk about three wins in a row here on this edition of All Dodgers.

Looks like he was blocked a little bit by Tanner Scott, either way, you got to make that play. But the Dodgers survive. And you also survived not seeing it because your contact was bugging you. But how are you doing? How are we feeling? How are you surviving? I am.

3:15I'm happy they won. I am so tired. You long. Oh my god. It was it's been a long day. But I'm glad they won. Tommy Edmund did the thing. The rest of the team tried to not let him do the thing. Yeah. And yet, you know, resilience. Resilience. Resilience. Ultimately, yes. Ultimately, Tanner Scott there in the end strikes out the side around a couple of errors and a double that, well, I mean, I think if they could have challenged it, which you can't challenge that kind of play, that kind of call. But if you can challenge it, they probably overturn that. Kike pretty emphatically saying that it was a foul ball. But whatever, it doesn't matter. Almost 53,000 strong at Dodger Stadium. Not the Nick saw a Dodger win. And yeah, we survived the ninth. We don't need to talk as much about the ninth as we did last night. I want to talk about Tyler Glass now in a little bit.

4:16I want to talk about the offense. And obviously we want to talk about what you guys want to talk about here. In the chat sound off. Let us know your thoughts about this game. And that was the big thing for a hot minute. This was a team that was not finishing innings. Still something to be left out there. Still leaving something on the table. I think ultimately they ended up going. What was it? Three for five with runners in scoring position. Decent three for eight. Three for eight. Okay, I didn't update the final innings. I walked away from her second and stopped updating my particular sheet. But still, you get the point there. Tommy Edmond. I guess hitting star in this game. Three run homer there. To retake the lead in the bottom of the seventh.

5:19Alex Friedland gets the things going in that inning. And I will say so we were given some more love we will say. Folks that were hanging out in the discord chat. Given some love, you know, a nice type of middle finger love you would give a older brother or something like that. To Alex Friedland in the chat. And we talked about hashtag familiarity. As soon as I just tweeted that I just put hashtag familiarity, send it out zero context. After that, he got to hit two walks. I fixed Alex Friedland is what I'm saying. I'm taking all the credit. I'm going to give myself the clap there. But he was instrumental in this come back when I really come from a head victory for the Dodgers there in the seventh inning. Also in the eighth inning kind of helping big, big walk. Setting the stage there loading the bases for that. Alex call hit by a pitch. But yeah, just give me your offensive thoughts. Whether it be Tommy, whether it be the rest of like the bullpen being good.

6:23Well, let's stick on offense right now. Give me your offensive thoughts and all that kind of jazz. No, I mean, Tommy was good tonight. Obviously one for four or three RBI. Right. You know, Mookie continues to do very well. Two for four is setting the table for the rest of the team. Right now, you know, the guys that have been hot continues to stay hot. And this was in a game where, you know, two guys that were expected to play. It scratched. Yeah. I mean, it granted, you know, Max has been cold. Dalton rushing coming right off injuries. So we don't know what he's going to look like. But, you know, you get you have to plug in new guys into the offense. And they find a way to scratch scratch across a win. That's, you know, you got to win these games. You got to win these games. And, you know, we can have to we can have a little bit of a dialogue. We'll have another dialogue about Mookie Betts by the way. But have a little bit of a dialogue about the fact that, yeah, this is the Washington Nationals.

7:25They're not a very good team. But you have to beat the Los Angeles Dodgers need to beat not very good teams. And they're doing that right now and they're doing it well. They're continuing to build things, you know, a lot of the stuff that earlier in the week, let's be honest, the Jeffs took a lot of shit for on the channel finding some of the positives in the losses in that they were building some innings again that then they weren't necessarily finishing them. But you're getting guys on base. You're leaving, if you're leaving a lot of guys on base, that means you're getting a lot of dudes on base and you're having opportunities. Now all of a sudden, you know, they're able to kind of capitalize here and there. And like I said, you're still, they're still more in the tank with this team and they've now won three in a row without uh, uh, show Heyo, Tani and the lineup. So clearly show Heyo was the problem. And before people come at me to assassinate me, I am joking. I am joking. Also Atlanta lost tonight. So the Dodgers gain a little bit of ground. Heard that. That's the. Go to the brewers lose. That's that.

8:26Yeah. Um, yeah, but also, yeah, heading into this game, you mentioned the fact that you had a couple different lineup changes. Max is out with with the sickness, um, Oh, I hate that we both did that. Oh, no. Here we are just drowning in our sea of lonely. Um, drowning deep in our sea of lonely. Um, the rushing one is probably the bigger red flag. He was out there before the game. Throwing, you know, kind of catching and receiving and throwing a, uh, a baseball down to second base as he tries to kind of rehab that, that throwing elbow. And uh, came out of it not feeling good. They shut him down to pull them from the lineup because of, you know, the state of how his elbow was feeling. I'll pop up, uh, you know, some words about it from the reporters that were there. Uh, right elbow discomfort is how it was termed.

9:29Um, concerning this feels, this feels pretty concerning to me. Yeah, it, you know, they said or not they rushing said he would, uh, he felt very confident about returning to catching this year. That looks to not happen. Uh, Mama was wrong with that one. So, so I, that that's rough. Um, hopefully this doesn't stop him, necessarily from hitting. Oh, apparently it did today. No, I, well, yeah, there, there's a difference, you know, if he had discomfort throwing, he can potentially still swing a bat tomorrow or the next day because they can, you know, they can retroactively put him on the IL again. But it's one day, whatever. Yes, I feel like if you put him on the IL, I think, I think at that point, you're kind of shutting him down. Oh, yeah, no, absolutely, no, absolutely. But what I'm saying is, you know, he, you know, he, he felt it while throwing.

10:33So it doesn't necessarily means he can't swing a bat. But well, one of their concerns, it was the most predictable injury of all time. Yeah. Where, where it is concerning is that he is a left-handed swinger. So it's, you know, his lead hand, his finishing hand, he's kind of like a one-handed follow-through kind of guy, you know, you can have that affect your swing. The, the, the UCL or any sort of issues in there can affect the swing. Bryce Harper had the same injury, right? Yeah. And it's more so not affect the swing, I guess. But the swing could affect the injury. It could exacerbate the injury. And if there is a partial tear in there, something, some sort of awkward kind of a position of your forearm elbow, the bat, bats aren't super light. It could, it can cause some issues there. So I do wonder if he is, if this is it, if this, you know, hopefully not, because I,

11:33I was never, I was more upset as many nice things as I said a minute ago about Alex Freeland. I was more upset about them activating Alex Freeland. I was, if he, I didn't really care about rushing, I was like, yeah, you know, if you could get him back, if you can have him be a factor here off the bench and, and, you know, hopefully maybe be the backup catcher again by the time you get to the postseason. Cool. If he feels good about it. But that one, it felt, it just felt really, really, really out of nowhere. Yeah. It, yep. They must have seen something or he must have really made a case for himself. That's the only way it feels like you really comes back. Especially that soon. Right. There wasn't a he's facing live pitching or putting him on a rehab. There's none of that. He was just, it was all tragic. Right. I just think so. Yeah, he was on the trajectory, or he claims he was on the trajectory to machine. Yeah. A lot of swings there and he felt fine.

12:36So we'll see what happens at this point because everything we've really heard about the injury was, you know, from the word of the horse's mouth, I guess. I don't really know what to make of it. It's kind of weird. So I just, but it's not the end of the world. I guess at the end of the day, you know, if they have to shut them down again, they'll shut them down again. He's just done for the year. And then, you know, they have other, you know, other left-handed bats in the organization. They can call up what? So to address this, I saw some misinformation going on around the internet today. Andrew might have seen it. Did that get your nasty? Yes. Andrew Gordon in the chat saying, tips can't come up. He's not on the 40-man roster. Does he inaccurate? If you're in the organization, they can call you up and you can be post-season eligible. Either way, he could call it, be called up and play, you know, through October. Sorry, through September.

13:37If they signed somebody right now and he played through September, like that player would not be eligible for October, but you can still play on the active roster. But in tips case, he is in the organization. So if he is replacing like an injured player, he would be eligible for post-season play. So tips can come up. He's absolutely crushing it right now at AAA, continuing to crush it right now. Also, I think throughout a runner from left field. From left to me dead tonight. So on a good high, it was a favorable hop, but you got there. Listen, that's what that is. That's just called knowing exactly how to release the backspin on the pitch, on your ball from the under throw to get the perfect plan. Blind Squirrel meet nut. Yeah. And to me, that feels like the only move that you can really do. It's if rushing is going to the IL, it would probably be a 60 day thing, and then you have space to open up for James tips third.

You know, he do worry about when he gets a clean cut. If you put dead in the outfield wall, I worry about, yeah, every part of the body at that. There's a hole there. Yeah. Oh, I think I'll field wall. Yeah. It's, you know, I, it's unfortunately, like for me, I think it was preventable.

24:58I think they could have made certain moves to not make Tommy play center field. This is the route they have chosen and now we have to live with it. So, you know, just fingers crossed that he doesn't injure himself. I mean, the only other move is what? Kike and now, not Alex Freeland, who's the FAA today? Not Alex Freeland. Sorry, Alex Thomas. Yeah. So, not what it would have been like. But this, yeah, yeah, I mean, they had options. They had options to keep Tommy in the infield, which I think would have been preferable to him playing center field as of all things. Like, like, Hey, these things have been healthy since 23. These boys are strong. They're beefy. They can handle it. He's got to tell that to Danny Duffy. That is a completely different case. You're talking about somebody who's like, what? Arm or shoulder was, you know, like a sliver of meat. I believe Danny Duffy's shoulder and Tommy Edmund's ankle might be made at the same material.

That's a month of baseball. It's a month of baseball. Mookie's. The big. All Mookie is like, you know, we were talking last night about is Mookie, your two hole hitter. I am fully comfortable just leaving him there and letting it eat.

28:18You're going to live and die with Mookie bets, but I don't take him out of that spot. You know, again, I think I still need to see a couple of weeks. I'd like I would like to. The month. The month. Yeah, it's a month. I'd like to see a couple more weeks just because then if yes, two bad weeks at the end of September, you can just say, well, yeah, man, six weeks before that. It's kind of all you have. But I know, but that's what I'm saying is like at the end of September, you can say six weeks before that, he was, you know, really good. But I mean, Mook's looking good and he's hitting balls that like that work concerning for him, you know, 99 on the inside. Like that, you know, for his bat speed, you know, for what people want to say about his athleticism or his ability to get the bat around, that's he's made an adjustment. Clearly, and it's working for him where he's being able to, you know, pull the ball a little bit better. Um, he's still able to cover the outside of the part outside part of the plate. I'm really good. I'm, you know, again, what we said about Teoskery last night or two nights ago, two nights ago,

29:23when he hit the walkoff, um, this is a version of Mookie, you can hope upon. You can look at this version and go, yeah, this looks like this is a version of Mookie that'll play. It's not a power hitting Mookie, but hey man, he's spraying singles like and that will take that and a blind drive doubles. Sure. And if he gets the right cookie pitch, yeah, he can still hit it out of the park. So this is, this is a version of Mookie bets that I think moving forward. Yeah, yeah. And I've been saying it for a while. Mookie was my pick for the two hole because he's the one that's been able to deal with it before. He's the one that's, he's been there. He's done that. Pa has, I, you know, he was really hot to begin the year. It's struggled when they moved him up. At least with Mookie who had been bad at that point, continues to be bad. Like, what's the worst that can happen? He's the same guy, which even the same guy for Mookie is roughly the same guy as Pa has was.

30:23But you get a better version of Pa has on the back end. So I'd be fine with it. I'd like to see a couple more weeks just to make sure. But yeah, really like what we're seeing. Yeah, I mean, I'm, I'm sold now. I need the way a couple more weeks. I assume we'll see probably the same type of Mookie. Maybe a little bit of a low. Maybe not. Maybe he goes on even, you know, a greater tear. I just hope he doesn't, he just sticks to doing exactly what he's doing. And you mentioned there's not a lot of power. I don't need to see a lot of power. I don't need to see power out of him. I don't need to see power out of Freddie. Because you can win baseball games in October by keeping the line moving. Toronto almost did that to us last year by keeping the line moving. Not a lot of pop. And you know, pop showed up when they need it. Boba Shetzheimer. Let the power come from Max. And then I guess into the forearm, you know, you start getting into some of the tendons there that make up like the, the flexor. So this might be like a little bit of UCL that leads into hashtag, not a doctor, but leads into, to flexor strain. And that probably is what they're worried about right now or some of the flare-up there. But I don't know, the amount of time, like a month off, they give them a month off.

48:58I think almost exactly to rest and, and do some, I would imagine, Job exercises to strengthen the meat around the UCL. The lobster meat. They probably, I wouldn't be shocked that they, you know, there was nothing out there about, like a, the PRP injection or whatever, but I would imagine there was something like that. Some sort of injection to stimulate growth and healing and all of that. But a month is not enough downtime. It's just plainly not enough downtime. And, and to, you know, somebody in the chat earlier who said, he was brought back to early. Yeah, I think, I think realistically he should have been brought back for like final week, final two weeks, probably brought him back to two weeks too early. This type of stuff should have been being tested with him on the IL. It feels like a lot with him on the active roster. And now, I mean, mind you, you have two roster spots or our bonus roster spot to play with,

50:03here in September with, with the 28-man roster. But it just feels like it really could have been, it could have avoided a lot of this, you know. Also, like, you know, how good this is for his mental, to kind of get it going and then have to shut it back down. And now maybe there is potential surgery on the table. So, yeah. I don't know. It depends, you know, what does, what does the elbow really look like? I mean, obviously they're going to find out with the IL tomorrow, or the imaging tomorrow, the IL, the imaging tomorrow. Yeah. Because if he can swing a bat, he's a valuable bench bat. On a bench that needs a lefty bat, really. So, he's an option. So, there's a very thin bench today for what it's worth.
