Toronto police are searching for a suspect who fired an orbey-style replica gun at three

members of the Jewish community in North York last Thursday.

The attack happened around Bathurst Street and Lawrence Avenue West, leaving the victims

with minor injuries.

Cobbs are calling it a suspected hate-motivated incident.

The shooter was in a blue SUV and sped off after the assault.

They released a rain-camera footage of the vehicle to help track it down.

The shooters say the victims were clearly identifiable as Jewish at the time.

This comes amid a sharp rise in anti-Semitic attacks across Canada.

Jewish group Bayneye Breath reported a record 6,800 incidents last year alone.

Communities are on edge with these kinds of threats hitting closer to home.

The hate crime unit is leading the probe and could push hate as an aggravating factor

if charges stick.
