Tottenham HotSpot Football Club have this week announced that two club legends, Ledley King and Chris Houghton, will be inducted into the Tottenham Hall of Fame. First on Ledley King, famously a one club man, ledley graduated from my academy to captain the team to League 1's Cup success in 2008 and then qualifying for the Youth for Champions League for the first time in 2010. Ledley made his debut at Anfield in 1999 and went on to make 323 appearances in all competitions before enduring injury issues which finally forced his retirement

One of the best central defenders of the modern era, it's widely accepted that Ledley would have added to his 16 England caps without having to manage a chronic knee injury over a number of years. Tiero Henry described him as one of his toughest opponents, the pair fought out a great duel. England vs. France at Euro 2004 and six years later, Ledley's form as we finished fourth in the Premier League earned a call into the England 2010 World Cup squad. After retirement, Ledley was named Club Ambassador in 2012, a role he's proudly held for 14 years, working alongside Spurs in the community and engaging with Spurs fans all over the world. Popular as ever, Ledley was the subject of the first Legend Street mural to appear in N17 designed by Murwalls at Tottenham Community Centre in 2022 and over 14 years since he last pulled on the Lily White shirt. Fans still sing his old Ledley-ledley song on 26 minutes of every game. Earlier in the week,

3:10the club had also announced that Chris Houghton would be the latest inductee into the relaunched Hall of Fame. One of our all-time greats standing 15th in our all-time appearance list on 398 in all competitions, 1979 to 1990. Chris gave us 25 years of service as player, coach and assistant manager, joining our coaching staff in 1993 and staying until 2007. He later enjoyed managerial roles at Newcastle, Birmingham, Norwich, Brighton, Forest and Garner's national team. He led Newcastle and Brighton to promotion from the championship to the Premier League. Born in Forest Gate, Chris famously finished his apprenticeship as a lift engineer before joining us full-time, age 21 in 1979. He soon made his first team debut and was a key member of the glory-glaury is under Keith Berkenscher in the early 1980s. Between 1981 and 1984, Chris was one of the

4:12number of homegrown players alongside fellow Hall of Famers, Steve Perramon, Paul Miller and Glen Hoddle to play in seven cup finals, including replays and two-legged finals as we won the FA Cup in 1981 and 1982 and the UEFA Cup in 1984. He also started the FA Cup Final against Coventry City in 1987. One of football's great pioneers and one of the first black players who represent the Republic of Ireland, Chris earned 53 caps for his country and was part of their squads at Euro 88 and the 1990 World Cup. He was awarded a testimonial at the Landsdown Road in 1995. More recently, away from football, Chris announced in April that he was diagnosed with prostate cancer a year earlier in April 2025. 5:16good, excellent, great to be here. In a recent interview, Graham Potter had this exciting news on Dejan Klusevsky's possible return. He's actually very close. I am so impressed with how he has handled his injury. We have to be careful with him. I hope he comes with us in September, October, but we have to talk to Dejan and Totten first. It is currently being widely reported that Totten forward Richardson wants to join Vasco de Gama in Brazil. His teammate Savio on Instagram put a comment saying, he told me he wants to go to Vasco Man. I told him to go to Asletico. He'll be Tottenham Osper under 21's team lost their opening EFL trophy Southern Group A clash against Exeter City in Devon. The game finished 2-0 to Exeter City. The Tottenham under 21's now face Cheltenham Town next in the competition on Tuesday 13 October, 2026, 7pm kickoff at the EV charger point stadium.

6:18Mattio Fischels for Tottenham's home game against Everton on Saturday have now been confirmed. The main referee will be Darren England. His assistants will be Scott Ledger and Alex James. Fourth official will be Gavin Ward. VAR will be Paul Tierney. And assistant VAR will be Adam Nund. And now for my views on those stories. I'll start with the Hall of Fame inductees, Ledle King and Chris Halton. And I'll start with Chris Halton first because, as I've mentioned in previous videos, I actually started supporting Tottenham in the 1980s. I was very young, but I remember the team in the 80s. Halton was one of those players. The teams of the 1980s were really exciting. They played some really fantastic football. And I remember Tottenham winning those FA cups in the early 80s, followed by winning the UEFA Cup in 1984. And it was that period, the success of that period, he got me to fall in love with the club and the players and that Tottenham

7:18way of playing, that progressive, passing, attractive, attacking football. And when you also think of of his service, Chris Halton's service to the club as a player, as a coach, it's so well deserved. He's such a lovely gentleman. I've actually met him a couple of times at the old stadium at White Art Lane, so down to earth, so so nice. And I'm sure you will not meet anyone in the world of football who knows him, who's met him, who's played with him, who's managed with him, who's coached with him. Nobody would ever say any bad words. It was really sad to hear about his recent struggles with prostate cancer. It's good that he's recovering, he's getting better and he feels clearly from his statement, he feels really good and just wishing the best. I hope he's around for many, many years yet. Ledley King is another one, a very rare gem, a player who, you know, one man club. You don't see it, even in those years, you don't see it very often. And he's been such a servant of Tottenham as a player, as an ambassador. He's another player, ex-player that I've met several times at White

8:21Art Lane at different functions or games. Brilliant fella. When you think of Tottenham, those are the kind of names that you think of. You think of the Ledley King's, Chris Halton's, Gary Mabbitt's, Ozzy Ardela's, Ricky Villa, all the incredible names that have played for Tottenham, Hoddle, The list goes on, it is, it's a huge list really. And Ledley is still very much an ambassador. He's always so down to earth as well, very friendly, very talkative, very informative, he knows so much. If you want to know anything about Tottenham, he's definitely one of the people to speak to. And his insight about players, about what's going on at the club, he's always very forthcoming and very honest and open. And I wish both of them many years representing the club and being there, telling the story of Tottenham Hodzberg as a club. I'm really happy to hear the news about Dejan Klocevsky. Again, it just shows that potentially he's very close to a return. I really hope he comes back strong and confident and back to his best, really. I'm sure it's not going to happen

9:23immediately. Obviously he's been out of the game competitively for over a year now. So he's probably going to take a bit of time for him to get back to the swing of things, get that match fitness, match sharpness. Never know. He was always a very, very skillful, very top quality player. Hopefully we'll see him back on the pitch, maybe making an appearance in one of the games before the international break. As for Richarlison, as I mentioned in some of the previous videos, he's got to find a new club. His time is up at the club, he's out of the squad for this season. Clearly he doesn't really have a future, he's not in drivout to deserve his plans. So the best thing he can do is find a way out. And the Brazilian transfer window is still open. So let's hope a solution can be found and he can make a move so he can start a fresh page in his career, and the club can also move on as well. Shame about the loss for the under-21s. They obviously haven't started as well as their under-18s counterparts, who the other day, as I mentioned, despite being 2-0 down a half time, came back to win 4-2. Unfortunately, the under-21s couldn't

10:25repeat that performance of the under-18s. It's a shame the next game isn't until the 13th of October. Their under-21s are going to have to wait a while to be able to put that performance right. But either way, I like watching the under-21s and the under-18s because you do get to see a number of players, players such as Williams Barnett, a number of the youngsters that we saw this summer in the preseason tour all come through those age groups. So it's always interesting to see who the next potential stars of the future are. Let's hope they do better against Cheltenham Town on 13th of October.
