The Toronto Blue Jays pitching staff has the potential to top major league baseball this season.

The team added depth through free agency moves to handle a full 162 game schedule.

But their most promising arm is already homegrown.

22-year-old right-hander, Trey Yessevich, who could develop into the franchise Ace.

Yessevich joined the organization in the first round of the 2024 MOB draft.

He started last year in single A with low expectations, but tore through four minor league levels.

By September, he earned a big league debut and helped fuel the Jays' push to the World Series.

In the majors, he showed real poise with the highest release point in baseball.

That makes his splitter and fastball combo tough for hitters to pick up.

Fans and scouts see him as a key piece with star upside.

Now preparing for his first full season, Yessevich has locked down a rotation spot.

No triple A to motion.

The Jays are playing it safe after his heavy workload last fall.

He set for minor league tune up tomorrow at their complex, just two innings, with possibly two more outings and spring training.

Across nine starts in the regular season and playoffs, he went four in one with a 3.46 earned run average and 55 strikeouts.

If he keeps building, Toronto could center their rotation around him for years.
