From on Senator Bernie Sanders with a message for New York Governor Kathy Hocal,
he wants her to get on board with Mayor Mamdani's proposal to hike taxes on the state's wealthiest residents and corporations.
He spoke at a rally at Lehman College.
We have a tax code that is totally rigged.
A tax code that has by a large been written by lobbyists for the wealthy to benefit the wealthy.
Well, the mayor was not at the event. The governor opposes the idea, saying it could drive wealthier New Yorkers and even companies out of the state.

It's been remarkably successful at not only serving a broad cross-section of people from this community, but from across the city.
He tells 1010 wins this is already on Mayor Mamdani's radar in fact.
During the campaign, Mayor Mamdani actually did on the record publicly pledge that he would restore the Rec Center,

eminently fixable and need not be taken down.

It's fun, it's scary.
What's so scary about Coney Island?
That shit.
You don't do rides, do you?
No.
Even Miss Coney Island.
I've been riding this ride since I was tall enough to ride the ride.
Public advocate Jumanie Williams Donnery Monty?
Not there yet.
I'm scared.
What after the ribbon cutting?
Three, two, one, cut.
And the egg green christening.
Broke it, let's cut it.
One thing's clear.

Come in, Alexander.

In addition to his legislative work, Coutino served as a commissioner on the Newark Central Planning Board,
on the zoning board of adjustment and as an Essex County Utilities Authority Commissioner.
He resigned from the Assembly in 2013 after pleading guilty to theft from his family's charity.
