On April 1st, President Trump dropped a bombshell on social media, saying Iran's new president
reached out to the U.S. asking for a ceasefire.
He called the leader less radical and smarter than past ones, but didn't name names right
away.
Word is, this points to Masoud Pzezhkin, who's been in charge since 2024.
He stepped up after former president Ibrahim Razee died in a helicopter crash that year.
Razee was eyed as the next big successor to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who got taken out
by U.S. and Israeli strikes on February 28th, the kickoff of this whole war.
Trump laid out clear terms, no ceasefire until the straight of Hormuz opens up fully,
until then he says the pressure stays on hard.
Oil sitting at about $100 a barrel as the conflict hits its second month, shaking of global
markets.
Keep an eye on this.
He's moving fast.
