Two Shootings in Vaughan, Police Seek Suspects

York Regional Police are investigating two separate shootings at homes in Vaughan early Wednesday morning.

The first happened around 1am near Clubhouse Road and Pine Valley Drive, where officers found shell casings and bullet damage to a house.

Two suspects fled in a white sedan that later crashed and was abandoned nearby.

Police arrested an 18-year-old from Toronto at the scene, seizing a firearm and charged him with reckless discharge of a firearm possessing.

Meanwhile, hours later, just before 9.30am, another home about 10 kilometers away on Summit Way and First Nations Trail was targeted.

Again, shell casings were found on the driveway with no injuries reported.

That same house had an attempted arson days earlier on March 23rd, and police are checking for links between the incidents.

A video circulating online shows someone firing what looks like a shotgun from a vehicle toward the home, with another person joining them.

Officers are still hunting a second suspect from the first shooting, described as a man in his mid-20s wearing a white zip up hoodie, along with two from the second event.

They urge anyone with information or footage to come forward as the probes continue.
