I was raised on a small family dairy farm in Amish country, and although we weren’t Amish we considered the Amish good people. The Amish are hard working good citizens. They obey the laws. But the Amish of Golden Valley farms outside Farmville VA, have been pretty much shut down The Virginia State moved in confiscated all their beef, and took it to the dump. The Amish family there can’t even use it to feed their own family, let alone sell it to the customers who wanted natural clean, non GMO, no antibiotics, healthy meat. Problem was, the Amish family just sold clean beef. The state wanted it to be processed in the USDA processing facility. It didn’t matter if the Amish beef is cleaner, healthier, and that the customers wanted it. It only mattered that the state be obeyed.
