University of Alaska Anchorage Sea Wolves made history at the Great Northwest Athletic

Conference Trek and Field Championships in Ellensburg, Washington.

Juniors Vivian Leasefeld and Anders Larson swept the multi-events, grabbing gold in the

Heptathalon and DeCathalon.

They're just the six pair of teammates to do that, and the first, an over a decade.

Leasefeld crushed it with a career-best 4999 points, second-best in program history.

She dominated six out of seven events, winning the long jump at 19 feet 6 inches, and Javelin

at 125 feet 3 inches.

Against 13 tough competitors, Larson, a local from Chugieck, hit 6,969 points, also second

in Sea Wolves records, and seventh in conference history.

He took the 100 meters, shot put at 40 feet 9 inches, and high jump at 6 feet 2.75 inches.

Coach Ryan McWilliams praised the whole multi-crew for pushing through sickness, injuries, and

rough weather in one of the toughest meets he's seen.

Other Sea Wolves shown too, Tobin Schmicky, fourth in DeCathalon, Sarah Dittman, sixth

in Heptathalon, and Maya Campbell-Auth.

Right now, UAA ties for first in women's standings with 14 points and sits second and

men's with 15.

The rest of the championships wrap up Monday and Tuesday at the same spot, so expect more

fireworks from the Sea Wolves.
