Officials say the full deployment should happen by October this year.
Roberto Alvarez, foreign minister of the neighboring Dominican Republic, gave this update
on Tuesday.
He spoke right after meeting with the United States Embassy staff.
This international effort comes as gangs have taken control of large parts of Haiti.
