Jesus raises the dead, nothing is beyond him. In raising the widows son, he does what both Elijah and Elisha did int he old testament, replicating the sign of their miraculous ability. He then helps a Gentile soldier, a most unexpected thing. Both soldier and Gentiles were not appreciated by Israelites.
