Ro: Ploaia rece de ianuarie lăsase în urmă cerul gri de deasupra Forumului Roman.
En: The cold January rain had left behind the gray sky above the Forumul Roman.
Ro: Mihai, cu geacă groasă și un rucsac plin de cărți și notițe, pășea atent pe pietrele ude.
En: Mihai, wearing a thick jacket and carrying a backpack full of books and notes, walked carefully on the wet stones.
Ro: Timpul său în Roma era limitat și dorea să profite de fiecare clipă pentru a-și îmbogăți cercetările asupra istoriei romane.
En: His time in Rome was limited, and he wanted to make the most of each moment to enrich his research on Roman history.
Ro: La un colț de stradă, aproape pierdut în propriile gânduri, Mihai auzi o voce familiară: "Mihai, ești chiar tu?"
En: At a street corner, almost lost in his own thoughts, Mihai heard a familiar voice: "Mihai, is that really you?"
Ro: Era Daciana, prietena sa din copilărie.

En: Shortly after, they were joined by Florin, a local guide with a friendly nature.

En: Mihai hesitated.
Ro: Studiile sale erau importante.

Ro: Dar zâmbetul Dacianei îl făcu să cedeze.
En: But Daciana's smile made him concede.
Ro: "Poate o zi fără planuri bine stabilite nu va strica," răspunse el, încercând să pară degajat.
En: "Perhaps a day without well-established plans won't hurt," he replied, trying to seem casual.
Ro: Călătoria alături de Daciana și Florin îi deschise lui Mihai o altă perspectivă asupra istoriei.
En: The journey alongside Daciana and Florin opened up a new perspective on history for Mihai.
