Updated College QB Watch List for Week 2

We must be making a lot of mistakes because I don't think I've heard of Bronze Coach actually have their full throat voice throughout this entire preseason. My kids aren't going to play football after listening to that. Too dangerous. Coach talking violence like that. I mean, you make the joke, but I know how Sarah Ohno thinks so good luck with all that. I know cheerleaders have more concussions per capita. That always comes up. I didn't make any arguments. Not to your face anyway. So do you when you hear that? Does that stuff translate in well with players in 2026? Well, you want your defense to be violent like there's like Jim Schwartz like the loaf plays and things like that. It just depends on how successful you are. Like I don't think Jim Schwartz changed at all during his time. And I don't know if my Grittenberg has changed. He's probably always spoken like that. But when if your defense starts to give up points because your team's not good, you're going to be met with serious criticism. When the Browns were bad under Jim Schwartz and it wasn't just all

2:09yelled about Stofansky. What did people say when they had that one step back? You're defensively. What were people saying about Jim Schwartz? Too much dance and too much goofing off too much ass and off the choreographed dance. Yeah, the choreographed dance is Colin Greg, Greg Newsom, Michael flatly like there was a lot there. And it's it just goes hand in hand with not winning. And so people tend to get very cynical. You know, we only remember the great quotes that nobody puts up quotes from Hugh Jackson. They put up quotes from Vince Lombardi. The only ones that ever get paid attention to are the successful ones. And Mike Grittenberg may very well be a really good coach. But we'll find out what he's working with because I still think they're thin. So they could start out hotter in a hell coming up on Sunday. Trevor Lawrence has had a history of struggling against the Browns a bit. He could do a very good job. But as he starts to lose players because guys get banged up. No, what's going to happen? They're not very deep. So I want to be open minded. I want to

3:10be excited for him. He's saying the right things. But I've also seen a lot of cynicism. But it goes hand in hand with what the Browns have been this year. Do you have the YouTube in front of you? Oh, I pulled up. Yeah, you got to pull up that he just nodded at me. So he's very paying attention. Do we have the quarterback watch? Oh, here we go. There's a little delay in that. And eventually because we have 10 quarterbacks that we pay attention to, I am not calling it a ranking. I'm calling it a watch list. Mine is a watch list. Yours is a ranking. And I'm wondering. And you only make one graph. I think I'm going to take Byron Brown off of mine. See, I'm going to put Trinidad Chambliss on after a given time. I can't do it right now. But I'm talking about Darian Mensa last night. Do you count out? You count last night. He's basically been a perfect quarterback this year. So again, they played 55 minutes of at least 14 to 15. Yeah,

4:17in the fourth quarter, they mutually agreed on a 10 minute quarter. Correct. They only played 55 minutes. And can we slow down on the Malachi Tony is better than Jeremiah Smith's style? I saw your tweet on that. I saw people asking, Oh, who you got in the draft? Who's going to go higher? And I'm like, I don't know the guy that's four inches taller is faster runs of 4 3 40, not a 4 5. Yeah, the guy for three years, we have said the number one pick in the draft. If he was only eligible to come out, yeah, my God, I swear, we're just arguing with the kids online. We have to have these arguments. It's been set a million times. Before YouTube, they did it already. They did it with all they did it with Ryan Leif and Peyton Manning. They do it all. But I think I might have to take Byron Brown out. He was so bad week one. I'm probably going to put Trinidad Chandler's on him at the end of the day. Do we have our three quarterbacks we're watching closest coming up this weekend? Well, obviously the match up that's Johnson signal to go get those ones.

I cannot wait to see what that rating is locally for the Texas game because even if you hate Ohio state, okay, then you want to see them lose. And even if you don't carry your invested one way or another, you've got to see the quarterbacks. You got to see art, which most of we're watching have to be up there already. Obviously, Michigan after their Phantom victory last week that all of America agreed was Highway robbery for Western Michigan. Now they kind of play against Oklahoma.
