Vancouver Fire Department aids in Columbia River dock vessel fire response

0:00At approximately 12.27 p.m. Sunday, April 5, the Vancouver Fire Department responded to a mutual aid request from Clark-Callett's Fire and Rescue for a reported fire involving two large vessels and a dock at 7.0360 Columbia River Highway identified as Global Marina. Two boats were involved, one sank, and the other was partially submerged. In response to the request, the Vancouver Fire Department deployed Fireboat 1 to assist with firefighting operations on the Columbia River. Upon arrival, Fireboat 1 operated in a support role, coordinating with primary suppression units already engaged in active firefighting efforts. Fireboat 24 from Clark-Callett's Fire and Rescue, and Fireboat 43 from Scopus Fire, where the primary units responsible for fire suppression operations. The coordinated multi-agency response highlights the importance of regional cooperation in managing complex incidents on shared waterways. No injuries were reported.
