Hey everybody, welcome to the Markpower and podcast. You can follow me on Spotify by just typing in Markpower and podcast and I should pop up So I have a huge question. Do you like Video podcasts or do you like audio podcasts and the reason why I'm saying that is because No online I've seen this whole big debate and a lot of people are saying well, you know what do audio? No, not audio do video because Video you'll get more followers and things like that and you know a lot of these Media companies and stuff that are trying to get people to do video or a lot of these experts don't realize that People are doing audio podcasts because some people don't feel like getting on camera and wearing makeup and Having to do all this stuff like there's some people where they just want to hit record and Record their thoughts and so that's one of the reasons why I got into podcasts like I got into podcasts because audio podcasts Because with audio you can just press record and talk like with video you have to worry about camera angles and lighting and setup
And I know that people like to watch video because you know people like to see how people look or what clothes They're wearing or the background and all this other stuff, but for me I'm a person where I dislike to hear that person's thoughts and ideas and so if I'm Getting a traditional video like it doesn't bother me either way, but I just have a preference for audio Like if you look at if you think about audio, it's audio was just so easy to do like with audio you can just You know put audacity on your computer grab a microphone and you're good to go like with Video you can you know like I said you can always use your iPhone stuff like that But then you're worried about oh well, you know Is it too dark and by wearing the right thing? Do I really feel like being on camera and with audio? Doesn't matter where you're at how you look It's just you and your thoughts and I like that and that's one of the reasons why like I said I started out doing traditional audio podcast and I still do audio podcasts from doing one right now, but it's just like
Even though I've experimented with video because you always hear the oh well every Podcast or needs to start doing video and all this other stuff and I tried video But it's just like I don't want to do video because it's just too much in my opinion And it's you have to worry about oh well, you know It's this at the right angles at too dark in this room. It's just nothing like being able to just speak into a microphone And that's one of the I would say the upsides for audio It's just you speaking into a microphone and sometimes I prefer it because like I said with audio When you're you know playing audio Or you're listening to audio you don't have to always have to look at you know a video like What I mean is let's say you're somebody who where you're cleaning a house or let's just say you're doing an activity or something like that You don't always have to be you know trying to look at a screen like you can just put in some headphones and go about your day And actually learn something and so I just think that video podcast in my opinion like I say though
I'm cool either way, but I prefer audio only podcast Because it's just like I said it's just something where if I'm you know doing an activity or something I can just put it on put it on on my in my headphones and just You know do something else while I'm listening to that podcast and then sometimes you don't feel like Looking out a video looking out a screen sometimes you just want to maybe relax go on your headphones and this listen to something and learn So like I said, I'm probably one of the rare people that still prefers audio podcasts versus video podcasts. That's just you know my preference. I love audio I've always been someone listening to music. I think audio is still amazing when it comes to podcasting is something that I'm going to I plan to stick with but Like I said in your opinion do you like audio podcasts or video podcasts like you have to choose one What one do you prefer like do you like listening to your Audio online. Let's say on a service like Spotify or do you like watching a video podcast on like maybe a YouTube
Or one of the other you know video sites So just let me know how you feel about that and then also if you have a podcast like Um Let me know why you started podcasting. So thank you
