A vigil is taking place this afternoon in memory of two brothers who bodies were found off the west coast of Clare on Tuesday.
The two victims, who were fishing in Pulleen Bay at an area known as the Blue Pool between Kilkee and Doonbeg, have been named locally as Tajuddin Safi, aged in his 30s, and Salahuddin Safi, who was in his 20s.
The brothers are understood to have been from Afghanistan and lived in Limerick for the past decade.
The alarm was raised at 2:15pm on Tuesday after both men were swept off the rocks and emergency services located the bodies at around 4pm.
Post-mortem examinations are to be carried out at University Hospital Limerick.
West Clare Councillor Rita McInerney is calling for more warning signage in the area.
