Hey everybody, this is Pam at the Paper Outpost, and this is the most boring video I will ever make. I am sure.
Okay, so, um, okay, this is reality. This is Pam as a crafter, feeling with Pam stuff.
I am now going to attempt to organize my rubber stamp drawers. Why am I doing this?
Number one, it needs to be done. Number two, I have no idea what I have, and if you don't know what you have,
it's like you don't have it. Number three, it's way overdue. I think I skipped last year, and I'm
barking on skipping this year, and this cannot happen. This cannot happen. So, I have a few drawers
that look like this. Some are jam-packed. Some are not jam-packed. They used to be organized by
categories, flowers, leaves, sentiments. Now there's mayhem. There's grand utter mayhem.
Hang on, maybe I need to back up a bit. And I apologize, I'm working with my, I'm not using my
normal mic because somebody named Snufferface escaped with it. I'm sure that I can't find it. So,
I'm ordering another one, so I'm using the mic on my phone. So, if I walk away and I sound like I'm
leaving the room, it's because I'm walking away and I'm leaving the room. Normally, my mic goes
with me, so there you go. Okay, so what have we got here? Let's just deal with the first one.
And what is our strategy? This here, Pam. We haven't thought of one. Oh my gosh, it's really going
to be a, it's going to be a dark day at the Paper O post. This is where the rubber hits the road. This
is like, it's just, you know, at some point, you got to go in and do this, you know? This is not
already, Pam, you cannot go into the second year of not organizing and cleaning your stuff.
Okay, so the first step of this lovely, painful project, it's not that bad. I'm overgraumatizing.
It actually feels pretty good when you actually do it, but I just kind of wanted you to
know that I feel the same angst and pain. That may be some of you feel when you're, you're
cleaning. Okay, here's some scraps. It's the little ones I could make. Okay, Pam, just get the
little, oh, it'll be all right, Pam, if you make little clusters as you go. Okay, I'm giving myself,
I'm over here now. That's why you can't hear me. I'm over here. I'm bad. I got my Tim's tiny
attacher. We won't talk about that. It's just basically a, President Barack Obama. Virginia,
we are counting on you. Republicans want to steal enough seats in Congress to raid the next election
and wield unchecked power for two more years, but you can stop them by voting yes by April 21st.
Help put our elections back on a level playing field and let voters decide not politicians.
Vote yes by April 21st. Paid for by Virginians for fair elections.
Little mini stapler, it just makes making these things easy. So this is what,
okay, when you're, you're trying to get things done, making things while you're trying to get things
done is a classic way of feeling like you're doing a good thing, but you're actually really slowing
the process down, but it's okay because we're making things and that's what we do. I missed one,
all right, so I have a thing. All right, one more thing. All right, we're not going to make
clusters out of everything we find here. Pam, put the cluster stuff aside. And it's okay, you have
to come to terms with it's okay to sometimes throw little bits and bobs out or you just take
them and are like a random clusty roux and you staple it and you call or done because maybe you'll
use that some day, maybe not today, maybe some day, we're putting away this pen because it's just
in the way trying to clean the deck. Are you on the mat? Yeah, there we go. Okay, so there's
like some stuff that doesn't need to be here because there's always some stuff that didn't get put
away from the last situation. Okay, now we're collecting the pieces of scraps that are bigger
and probably usable, so we're going to save those. I know what that is. Little bits and bobs,
okay, little bits and bobs. I love these little torn pee. I just, I can stop and drop everything and
just play with this little paper for an hour. I know it's ridiculous, but it's fun. And for some
reason, I think it's healthy. I convinced myself of that that it's mind relaxing and it's a good
thing to do. All right, I got it. So I'm not to somebody. Okay, I'm just trying to clear the deck,
so we actually have a place to pull this stuff up. So that is step one, clear the deck. This is,
like I said, going to be mind blowingly boring. There's a stamp that needs to be put in this
little stamp house. It escaped. Putting away my corner chomper in front of me. I don't know about
this. We'll see. Putting away my inks in front of me. The ones I always use. Keeping up
already. I'm putting away my tape dispenser. That's a great tape dispenser, by the way,
boy, if you need a good packing tape dispenser. I don't know. That made all the difference.
So my life is never the same. Trying to do this. All right.
These are like those little things. Okay, yes, this has a little starting piece on it,
but once that's gone, it's mayhem to get this thing started again. Yes, I know you can,
you can, you can do this. Okay, we've all seen this. Okay, so I'm going to be using the tape.
Say like this piece is gone already, so don't have that, but we all probably know that you can just
basically fold it over and you've got that again. But then, you know, it seems easy, right?
But in actuality, okay, so there's the end and life should be grand. The thing is, you got to
remember to do that because sometimes you're so excited about what you're making. You just sort of
skip that step and you go on and next thing you know, this is glued down and they're there for
an hour trying to get it started. So we don't want that. No, no, no, that's why the tape dispenser
came into it. Revision. All right. So another unexciting fact, I buy tape in packs of like six packs
or whatever. I use it a lot for shipping, but also for crafting because, you know, we could use fat
tape here and there. I'm going to get rid of that little piece because that'll just come up
on night and there. Okay, do I have room yet? No, there's still a lot of stuff over here,
little mayhem going on over here. Okay, let me just put my pile of mail. Let me just move that over
here. So, see, sometimes you have to pre-clean your area just so you can clean what you intended to
clean. So you think you're going to make all this progress, but you haven't even done squat yet
because you're still cleaning up the original space. You know what I mean? Because some little
crafter came along here and started crafting. And she just sat there and looked at the pretty
papers for a while and played with them and folded them and, you know, that kind of stuff.
And all right, I'm taking all this stuff. This was fun. I don't know if you remember, these are
just the labels. If you ever find these in the thrift store, often these Avery-style peel labels
just take a dober and run up and down here and then all of a sudden you have antique labels
ready to go. So easy, so fun. What? What do you want me to show you? Okay, I'm looking, I'm over
here in my label department. It should be very easy. Yeah, all right, I'll show you. Okay, I
can hear you asking. All right, it's really easy. Okay, these are different. These are different style
label. Well, we'll just make green ones because they can only find green ones at the moment.
All right, so here is the prototype. These are thinner labels. These, if I can show them to you,
I don't know if you can see that, but you're going to see it when I ink, I think.
Okay, so this I'm going to use peeled paint today because I'm going to make some green ones.
And if you want to wake your ink up, you can always just get a little squirt with water or
water and glycerin. Mine is just water. Okay, well, there went something. All right,
okay, this is kind of wet. I should have done it a little drier. Okay, it's all right.
There's really no right or wrong way to do this stuff. You just sort of do it.
Even it makes little weird thingies. It's all going to be good. Yeah, yeah. Okay, just looking for
reference here. Okay, bottom. Okay, I think what I might do is do it in between.
This is kind of unsee now. I'm totally off. Am I organizing my stamp drawer? No, no, I'm not.
Did you notice? Did you see that segway and how that happened? That's how it happens. You just
picks up, melts up, getting, you know, enamored by it. And off you are. Let's use a different color
in how I'm putting this one away. I can't find the brown. I would like to find the brown.
Where's the brown? Is it here? No, is that it? No. Well, it can't be far.
It's just not on my desk. Wait, looking under here. Okay, going back to the dober drawer.
Okay, I'm going to. Do you guys see my brown dober? No, no, feels empty in here. Like there's
something missing. Like my brown dober. That music got placed. Oh, I wonder if that's what I just
brought. Oh, yeah. You know, yeah. Okay, so problem solved. It was on the floor. Oh, I end
out. Check the floor. All right, so let's try to just use the residue on here. Maybe we don't want
intense color. We just want some. I'm just lightly dabbing. This is what? What is this,
fam? This is walnut stain. Um, so just going for maybe this would be a, I'm like, I'm thinking
like for like a forest, deep forest, woodland style, um, journal that might use some labels that
are green and brown and maybe a little mysterious and dark and woodsy and all that kind of stuff.
So they're all going to look a little different, which is kind of fun. Um, should we add one more
color? That would be very bold of us. Let me see if I was going to add a color. It would probably
be this one. Oh, fossilized amber. That would be quite the commitment. But let's do it. Let's find
a, okay, this could be fossilized amber in somebody's world. Maybe not mine. I'm maybe I should use
black. Let's just use a little fossilized amber. It's probably just a little, all right. Just
coming down a little bit. Did I get any on there? I don't think I got any. This thing's probably so
dry because nobody ever used it. Bossilized amber. Okay, we'll give you a squirt. Wake you up.
Cause all sorts of mayhem. Did you see that reactive? Cut that. This is an oxide. So it's going to
be very excited about a little bit of water. Okay, all right. One tiny ant and he's going to want
to go for a ride. Okay, okay, just going to put a little here and there.
All right, here's again. Now I get one. You get 20. You get these little tiny ghost ants in
Florida. And you can't get rid of what you guys are everywhere. If I got like a thousand of them
on here, now I got a good look. All right, I don't see them off. You're tacked by ants.
All right, really kind of cool. Okay, so you're saying, well, that's great. No, Pam, but
you need to get back on topic. So let me just show you example of what it would look like. So
if you peel it off, it might look like something like that. So anyway, just a fun way to use up
those Avery labels. If you got a billion of them and you kind of thought they'd be fun to use,
but didn't know what to do with them, that's what you can do with a mass make a bunch of those.
So they're at the ready for your junk journals. It is really warm in here.
Okay, I have a t-shirt underneath. It's going to be fine. It's going to be fine.
Okay, we're back. Okay, okay, let's put the stickers aside. Pam, I get back to the task at hand.
Okay, what are we doing today? We're organizing rubber stamp drawers.
So here's some toys we made yesterday. Toys. Here's some things we made yesterday.
We'll put that in the dendee pile. Put it away our dober. This is how long it takes to actually
get organized. You have to pre-get organized, get organized in my world. Okay, put your
scrapbook paper. Okay, I think I need to do some more videos with scrapbook paper because
I've got, it's about a foot and a half tall over there. And I think I, my goal will be to use it
up so I feel good about my purchases. Always feels good to see. Oh, look what I found.
Always looking for this guy. I have a new home for it. It is not in the bucket with the pens because
I can never find it there. It hides. So now it is just in the, it's leaning against the corner of
this little three-tiered shelf thing. So I can see it visually and I can hopefully find it easier
now putting my pot, whatever those things are called. I can't think of this this morning.
Brain is still half asleep. It's an early day today and we are doing well. We're at least at
the table and we're attempting to organize. Sometimes all you get is a real attempt and that's it.
That's a good as it gets. Should we make something like that? No, put it away. Okay, all right,
put that in the scrapbook. Put that in the scrapbook. I'm now taking this to the scrapbox.
In the scrapbox it goes. I've got some scrap fabric. In the scrap fabric box that goes. Here are some
digit kits I was working with. Here's a scrap. Put these in the digit bucket. Scrap bucket.
Okay, now I'm starting to see. Starting to see some actual craft table that clear space. Place
to clean. Give it the old wipe room and baby wipes and a little bit of extra water. What's that?
Just a little scrap. Sometimes these things get tucked under. There's a sticker. Very nice.
So yeah, the random, you know, this is kind of like a, this is a vlog. I don't know. This is
this is the video with Marvel Television's Wonder Man and eight episode series.
Now streaming on Disney Plus. A superhero remake. Not exactly what we'd expect from an
Oscar winning director. Simon Williams audition for Wonder Man. I'm going to need you to
sign this. Assuming you don't have superpowers. I'll never worry if anyone found my lips are sealed.
Marvel Television's Wonder Man. All eight episodes now streaming. Only on Disney Plus.
I am attempting. That's how much ink I get on here. I am much
rociously a messy crafter. If you think this craft mat looks bad, go ahead and take a look at
some of my earlier videos. I used to get people all riled up with the messiness of my, oh my god,
family, please. Yours is the worst craft mat out there. I consider it well loved. And that's my
only excuse. That's all I have to stand on. Nothing more. Nothing more. Okay, so here we go.
Here's our project for today. Now we are attempting to start it. That's a really pretty stamp.
Isn't it nice for backgrounds? I wish now I didn't put away all those scraps because I would love
to just stamp them right now. But that is not the purpose we are here. Because if we start crafting,
we'll never get this done. Okay, stay still. Stamp. Here's another background stamp.
So that maybe this should be the drawer of background stamps. And if Pam was really together,
she would label it that way. But I don't think it's going to happen because
I've tried the label thing and I don't know. It works for a little bit labeling the drawers and
then somehow mayhem occurs. You know, you know what I'm talking about? And then it's gone. This
is a really cool one. A postcard stamp. I honestly have no idea where I got my stamps originally,
but I do buy them. I buy used ones from thrift stores. And sometimes I go on eBay and buy a whole
box of used ones. It's much less expensive to buy than that way. Sometimes they're old. Sometimes they're
a little crumbly, but 99% of them are just fine. Here's one I rarely use, but it is sort of pretty.
I have to see like how married I am to each of these little stamps. And I already went through and
pilfered and ferritid and picked the ones I wanted to keep now. That was a year and a half ago.
It's corn or stamp. Very handy. Now the whole thing is, is there a theme here?
Little background stuff, background stuff. These are fun. Okay, maybe we can keep background stuff.
I don't know if a heart qualifies as a background stuff. Some music background. That's kind of nice.
All right, don't pile them on top. You can't see them. Background little things.
More background stuff. I like that. See, I totally forgot to add this. Somebody tell me I have this.
And also, if you truly, truly want to use your stamps, don't pile them on top of each other.
Lay them out. I'll flat somewhere. Who has room for this? Nobody that I know. But like all in the
doors, only one layer. And you still probably won't use them all, but they'll be close and you'll
feel good about it. And that'll be just fine. Okay, here's a, okay, I don't, this is a very nice
stamp. I just don't have it in here for a purpose. Wrong purpose again. It doesn't really
come on. There's background stamp. All right, says, you know, it's like a border stamp.
Okay, so let's put pure, I'm not going to get much in here. And that's the sad part.
Should I put them like that? I don't want fit. Okay, going like that. Okay, you are three
dedicated background stamps. And maybe I can put, come on, baby, it's fit. Not bad. I mean, okay,
sort of piled on top, already breaking my own rule. Yes, I know. But at least I can see them all,
which is light years ahead. Here's a script stamp. Now, should I put this just with script? Because I
do have a drawer for script. I think I should do that. Because I wouldn't be looking for it here.
But it is the background. So now you're in this quandary. Do I put it in the background? I do put
it with the script. So you have to ask yourself, honestly, if I get my little patuity up off the
craft chair and I go over there, am I going to be looking for script drawer or background door?
And this, I would say to myself, I need some script. You're going to go into script drawer.
That's where you're going to be living. You know what, maybe, maybe, just maybe, I need all this
extra space just for these little background babies. And yeah, okay, so maybe I don't even need to
do that. Maybe I'm just going to come over here. Organize these. I'm going to totally run out of
space before you know it. No, no, there's it. It's going to have to go like that. It just is.
That's all I can do. I don't have enough drawers. I can tell you that already. I know going in
this is going to be bad. Okay, so these borders, we're going to call these borders. And these are
like single objects, single. And is this script? Could it go with this? I would never think it
would be there. But we'll put it beside it for now because we have no idea. And this is a
little single thing. So, all right, let's take this. Oh, you know what we didn't do?
The whole purpose here is to clean the darn drawer. All right, in there,
there you go. Okay, baby wipe. Just because these don't create that much dust. But you know what,
when you're in a room where there's a lot of dust and paper and stuff like that, it gets dusty
in these little drawers. That's a good idea to come along and maybe clean the little handle
because you know little sticky, gluey tape finger things. It's a nice place for a label that
somebody who is wise or is going to meet would actually use. All right, let's go again.
You're in. You're in. You're in.
Okay, get in there. Okay, you're okay to go that way so I can see what you are.
And we're going back in the door. I'm sticking it back in. I've got one. One is now the
background. Oh, boy, I got a problem. It's going here. Okay, here's number two.
Yeah, one or that. This is obviously a background. It's like a label background.
I don't know if I'd ever be able to get a good impression of it that I need to know.
Oh, let's be a squirrel. What you're doing, Sunny? Full-scale alert? On what? Did you see shadow
walked by? Oh, somebody with their dog walked by and it caused a shadow. I'm going to put that
over here. Here's more. These are kind of cool. That could be a background. We might have to have
more than one background door. So let's put that with that because Mayhem already occurring.
I would call this a single object to here. Now, I don't know if I'm going to have to divide single
objects into plant single objects, flower single objects, and then other extraneous whatnot. I
don't know. Well, why would you ever go look for those? I think I got to go look for something
that I don't know if I have or if I'd even use. Here's a really cool lady.
She could be a border or she could be a single. Let's use her out of the border. So anything long
and then like that, long and thin border, border, a single object. I think I'm going to keep like
a plant thing. Yeah. I'll put two of you. Okay.
A telephone. Really cool stamp. Totally forgot I had it. You're going in the single pile.
A spoon. That could be a border. It could be a single object. I'll put it in the border right now.
I'm piling up already here so I can't even see what I have. What is this? Oh, this is very pretty.
This reclining lady. Maybe I should have like a feminine drawer. Maybe I could put this
with the dress. There was something else kind of girly. What was it? Oh, the lady.
They kind of, okay, like a people drawer. Well, that dress doesn't have it, but this like
lady, like Victorian lady drawer. Okay. I like that. The knife. Mm-hmm. Yeah, it's probably a fork
in here somewhere. These are cool. I love this stamp. Totally forgot I had it. I love,
love, love, love, love. Did I say I love it? I'm going to put it with this. Maybe this is going
to be like a an office stylized drawer. Oh, that's a good idea. Like make themed drawer, Pam.
What are you thinking here? That's a good idea. Oh, I don't know if I have enough drawers for that,
but we could try. All right. Mm-hmm. The heck is that? Oh, it's like an overflowing
buttons and sewing thing. That's kind of cool. Here's a pocket watch. I think that can go with the,
I don't know why, but I think it can go with the phone. I'm already piling. I do see that,
but I'm running out of room. So I have to make hard decisions now. Where's my coffee?
I'm sorry. I'm starting to sweat. I'm getting nervous.
Okay. I'm going in again. umbrella. That could go with the girly things. I do have the girly
things. I'm going to put that there. Okay. What's this? I think, oh, it's an old sewing machine.
Okay. So put these sewing things together. I don't think I have enough sewing things to make a
separate sewing thing. We'll just put you over there for now. What is this? Oh, this is a,
this is so cute. It's a little rubber stamp of a camera. It has a little nib on it to stamp
camera. Maybe that could go with the phone and the watch and the pen nibs. Sure. Oh,
here's a little girl. She looks a little Victorian. We'll put her with the Victorian girls.
Oh, an old key. Ooh, I love this stamp. Where do you go? Do you go here? Do you go with the Victorian
or do you go with the single objects? I don't know. Oh, okay. Maybe I'm doing this wrong.
Okay, just need to make a decision. I'm going to go with the old fashioned objects drawer. Okay.
You got, you got to call it at some point. Here's shoes. We know they're going with the girls.
Kind of modern shoes, but they're still shoes. What's that? A little heart? Okay, individual objects.
Okay. Nuts. Botanical? Okay. What's this? Oh, I think that's Alice in Wonderland.
I think she's kind of a Victorian girl, so she's going to go over there. Oh, love this. Yeah,
pan office supply area. What's this? A spool. Okay, so we do have another sewing thing. See,
I told you I didn't even realize I had like a sewing thing collection. It did not exist for me because
it was hidden for myself. What's this? Like a border? Border plant thing. Does it go in border?
Is it going planting? Plant thing, I think. See, you got it. You got it. Okay, this was actually glued
on to here. Do I really need that? I guess I could glue it on. See, these rubber stamps, I do like
rubber stamps better than silicone. I just feel they last longer for me. I always end up with
a one big blob. I'm going to attempt to glue this stamp back on, and if it doesn't work,
I'll just just keep the stamp part. Okay, we'll try that. Okay. Oh, always just a sewing thing.
This is a Victorian thing. I think it's a sewing thing. I have now four sewing items.
Uh-huh, not you. Uh-huh. Look at that. Okay, so let's clean. All right.
Mopsky. Getting rid of the desk bunnies, feeling clean and good about it. Get the corners,
get the corners, scrub, scrub, scrub. There's always a little hole for us to do and get the little
handle. There we go. I'm going to be thorough about it. Go everywhere. Okay, now I'm going very
good about the cleanliness of that drawer. So now I can dedicate one of these to a purpose because
I have an empty drawer to work with. So let's say, uh, yeah. Uh, what's taking up the most room
here? I think these Victorian ladies are. So, all right. Just fit. Just fit for me. No? Okay.
All right. Uh-huh. Okay, so now I can put this back in there and then it gives me more room.
So I'm going over here now. Well, I think we have come. I've got another drawer. Come to
the natural end of the first two drawers and uh, can you go find sandbun? Hold on.
Sonish, where are you, my little boy? Are you on your white hood? Oh, you are on your white hood.
I got him. I'm back.
Son, I'm going to have to find your mic and you can take it. Would you take one with my?
You may have and you're not revealing. You know where it is, don't you? I think he knows.
He's with holding. Carry on, son. Hello, everybody. It's Sunshine and I know exactly where the
missing mic is, but I am not going to give up this information. I am tight-lipped, sealed, and it
may have been my fault and I'm not admitting to it because it is not, you can't. There's no,
there's no dead body. You cannot, you cannot charge somebody with murder unless there's a dead body.
We do not have the body. There's no body. At least that's what this shows say. Oh, I'm in such trouble.
You know, you're not. I don't know how many mics is Mama Bought because of you.
Mom, if you'd put your mic away, where it belongs, it would not become an issue. You know that.
I know. You're absolutely right. I will take that into account. Thank you. All right. Anything else?
No, that's about it. All right. Happy crafting, everybody. Sunshine.
Okay. All right, folks. This is me embarking on quite the journey. I hope you had fun. I hope
you have more fun and I will be back with you guys very soon. Take care, everyone. Bye-bye.
