Everybody, it's Pam at the paper outpost today and I'm testing something out. I thought this might be fun. Somebody sent me this and it's this cool little foldable what not do dad and I thought it was so fun and so
We could we could totally do this. I think we could totally do this. So here's the prototype lip flip flip. So basically this is a six by six square piece of paper. You could use scrapbook paper.
I'm going to actually use some of the altered scrapbook paper that we made the other day and see if we can put it to good use. All right. Now this is a 12 by 12. So I should be able to get four six by six is out of here if all goes well. Now I'm just going to take this top piece off. So you don't have to worry about that. Maybe we can make four of these because really in essence it looks like there's just one cut and all the magic happens. It's just a matter of folds and one cut. We can do that. I have high hopes.
So if you've got some scrapbook paper that you turned into something pretty. Hey, this could be its day. Let's see. Fold it in half.
I guess we would say it's accurate as possible with these folds. So everything comes out nice. We want it to we want it to fold nicely upon itself using the old.
Using the old bone folder giving us a nice sharp crease. And I think what we're going to do is hold it this way and just bring it up to the edges and hope you're having a dandy day and you're having fun. This is going to be a fun, easy project that we can do together and beginner friendly step by step tutorial.
I think I'm going to have you look at it on this side because I think you can see the folds better here. And now we're just going to grab the old ruler and craft knife.
And you can use scissors. You could use anything. I'm just using this because this is an easy way to do it. I was worried when I say that. Okay.
Craft knife and ruler on the craft mat is my strategy. All right. There we go. Got that one. Probably do these two at the same time. All goes well. It's all going to go well. Maybe just we want an exact.
Refreshing wild cherry cola meets smooth cream. The tree you deserve Pepsi wild cherry and cream treat yourself. You know, we should probably do them separately. I know that but I'm just doing that same time. Okay.
For most accuracy, probably do them separately. We'll see if we can do them at the same time and it does go smoothly. Let's. Here we go. Freshers on.
The slow frame and there you go. All right.
So we have these pretty pieces of paper. There's all our backgrounds are outside.
And then this was playing on the inside. Now mine probably have some marks on the inside. I guess I wanted to. There's some will figure something out about that. We'll work it into the design as we do. Okay. So basically now we're going to fold this way and then fold this way.
So cap a corner and do the same thing. So basically the same kind of fold we just did. Pretty easy. Anybody can do it. I want to do it this way so you guys can see it.
Let's see it.
All right. Settle in here, little paper. It'll comfy like there.
I'm going to crease it in with the power of the bow and folder. I didn't do it exact. Okay. It's probably going to cause a problem.
Let me just see if I can fix that a little bit. And the bone folder will work with you to correct any little mishaps. You may have created everything slip back to where it was. Okay.
Okay. That's that's a little better. All right. Now let's just fold it up like this.
crease. All right. So now the theory is that you only need to make one cut. Well, let's try it. Here we go.
Proofs in the pudding. We will find out right now. Try and get the middle of this line.
All right. Not on one side of it or the other side, but like right in the middle of it to the crease.
Okay.
Okay. Retracting. So nobody gets injured. So I think we have the same thing. Clap, clap.
Clap, clap. Okay. Let's attempt the fold. Okay. She put a tab here. Maybe we should put a tab there just so we have something to guide us.
Let's be put.
Didn't I just make a thousand tabs? Where are my tabs when I need them? How about this butterfly? Glue it back to back. Yeah. Two butterflies glued together. Make a tab. That's right.
When you're in a tab pinch and you don't have a page tab or a little, a little something or other, you do now. Okay.
Halfers.
And then meaning half on the page, half off the page. And then, you know, if it's a reversible punch, it'll work. If it's not exactly the same, like on this side and this side, it's not symmetrical. This won't work.
But that's what we got. So I went from this to this. Probably should inked it first. Okay. So let's get the dovers out.
Or dovers.
And let's do some ink in here. Okay. I reloaded some, some ink. So let's see. Here's Walnut stain. Oxide stain. I think we've just reloaded that picture to see how that comes out.
Where is mine? Oh, there it is. See the brown. This is the new one. I know it's very foreign. It doesn't look anything recognizable yet. It needs to soak up more brown color to look like it's old friend.
Okay.
Going around there. This is a very dark brown.
Do both sides. Same time. Very efficient. All right. All the edges, all the way around and the faults. Okay. And the faults. Okay. Now, let's see.
Missed spot. That happens. Not inking very neatly, but it's okay because it's a poster look vintage. Vintage and weathered and warm and primitive and on rustic and all that stuff. So antique.
Oops, but we call it that one in brown. That's okay.
That's all right.
I wonder if it'll pick up on this side a little bit. It does a little bit. I'm rolling with it. It's muting it down on the edges.
Okay.
I would say this is a go.
I think it's a go. We'll see if it goes and goes. All right. There we go. Okay.
So now we have that.
And that's very similar to that. She did some rubber stamping. Thank you, Debbie, for this wonderful idea. I think I'm going to put some.
Maybe I'm going to use a peg stamp with this little flower.
See, that's good. I don't have that.
There is that little spongy thing I had. It was here the other day and I was using it. It was right here and then I put it somewhere.
Does anybody upbound it? Right where I thought I might put it. Okay. So I'm going to attempt to get a good good stamp reveal.
All right.
Yeah, this really does work. And if you haven't tried this little trick, it just makes your stamps look so good.
Like you're a total professional. Well, you can't see it.
Okay. So yeah, like total professional stamp aroma.
And you can just kind of know, do it every one is really no wrong way to build these in no wrong angle. Nothing. It's just very forgiving, very beginner friendly, very easy stuff to do.
Okay. There we go. What one there then all four corners. All right. I like it. I'm liking it a lot. So I think I would probably leave this one alone and let the person. Let's see if I fold.
So I did I not even I didn't even test that. Okay. There we go. Now we could. Did you put anything? No, I think she left because this was very pretty papers probably left it. This is my background paper and maybe maybe I want to put a focal point on it. You know, you can put focal points on things. It's all right.
I am now parroting for a focal point. Maybe I'll put a sticker. Oh, I got here.
Oh, that's kind of cool. Oh, yeah, with the butterfly and everything. Yeah, I think that's the way to go.
All right. So I think I will now attempt to put the sticker on here. I don't know if this is this is a sticker.
I feel separation of yet we have we have breached the surface. And I think it's sticking enough, but you know what? Let's just run it over the glue stick to be sure.
And see, I think this the white background stickers are going to pop nicely on here. Very nice.
A bit of an angle. There we go. And we have that cute little guy.
Part of me wants to corner edge these things. And I don't know if that's going to completely botch the entire we're just going to do it and see because you know what? It's only paper. Let's see what happens.
Come on. You're a little curious, too, aren't you? Okay. Let's think up those little round. Let's see what we did. Is it other mayhem? What happened? Where did those round edges go? Oh, they're actually okay. They're on all the corners.
And everything strangely worked out fine. Like we got a round the edge here. Got round the edges here and on all four corners. So by the magic of absolutely no deduction. It worked. There you go.
You can put a word on here or something, too, that might look cute or maybe another butterfly.
But butterflies. That's a blue one. But maybe a white one on here.
Might look better because it'll show. All right. Let's just put a white butterfly on there.
So it is actually the same blue butterfly, but I'm just using the white side. It's just going to really pop against that background.
Okay. There we go. Very cute. Very operational. All right.
So let's try another one of these. Maybe do it a little bit differently since we have a letter of paper you have to play with.
What if... What if we glue? Where's that one with the stuff on it? Okay.
You got some stuff on it. Maybe we need to put something here.
For example, maybe a piece of interesting book page or newspaper or a little pink doilies. I don't know what it was expecting that. Doilies.
I think I have two. Where's the other one? There it is.
Oh, we have a pink and a gold doily. What if I just layered them like that and then did the cuts?
I don't know. I don't know. Do you know? No, I don't know either. We could try it. Let's just see what happens.
All right. I'm going to put some glue on here gently because it's a thinner paper.
I'm trying to get the edges. I think that's probably most important.
So if you do off the edge like this and you get lots of glue on your craft mat now, I'm also tearing the doilie because it's kind of wet.
Oh, look. Can you see all that glue there? What a mess. Somebody get a baby what? Please.
There. How about a tissue and a squirt bottle? It's because it's all I got right now. All right. Okay. Yeah. All right.
Just clean this baby up or there will be mayhem.
Okay. Now we're going this baby down. So any up. There's no official up. Okay. We're just going to put it on here.
To the edges. There we go. Oh, look. I got some brown ink on that. Imagine that.
Imagine that. That that could never happen in my world. Oh, look. I can rub it off. Is it on my fingers? I think it's on my fingers.
Okay. And that's not so bad. Just it vanished pretty much. We'll give it a good pretty much.
Okay. So not get it on the craft mat. Here's my new newly thought of technique. I'm going to hold it in my hand.
So to be a two is come home to Disney plus. Let's go get ready for a new case.
We're the greatest partners of all time. New friends.
And your last name. Destiny.
Dream team. New habitats.
Utopia has a secret reptile population. You can watch the record breaking phenomenon at home.
Zutopia 2 now available on Disney plus rated PG. Right now you can get Disney plus and hulu for just 499 a month for three months with a special
limit to time offer ends March 24 after three months plan auto renews at 1299 a month terms apply.
And gingerly gingerly go to the edges.
I think this little punched out design has a lot of glue to go through the punched out design.
So there we go. I am now magically covering the smudge by placed.
Oh, I'm actually magically covering all my my foibles and faux pas. There we go. We now have that.
Hands are sticky hands are sticky.
Washing. I know I know I know I know I know I know Sunday's giving me the look.
What are you doing up there? Mayhem going on up there. I can tell.
Okay, there may have been a little mayhem. All right. Now we're going to.
It's not too sticky.
Defined it's too sticky because we're going to be folding and smoothing together and it could be.
Absolute disaster pass, right.
So what we're going to do.
Oh no. Am I recording? Yes. I had this fear for one. I forgot.
Okay, we're good. We're good. I'm just going to put this is a like a cornstarch or talcum.
I'll put a little powder pad. So that is like a cloud of dust in here. Probably toxic.
Okay. Wear a gas mask and it has met suit whenever you craft.
So nothing bad happens. Yeah, okay.
We'll get right on that. We'll get right on that.
Okay, now we're going to fold.
I'm going to use our bone folder of my teeness.
And then we're going to fold the other way.
I'm going to use our old bone folder of my teeness again.
I went to do this on the other side.
See, but here we are.
We'll just roll with an egg.
Listen, what do we have?
We have this.
So now we're going to place our one cut, our loan cut.
It's a loan cut.
That's what it is a loan cut.
It's kind of nice what you do it like that.
I think I am right there. Am I right there? I don't know.
I'm going to find out a little north of the midline.
Oh, it's tearing it. We are tearing it because it hadn't dried.
So we have now torn a heart.
Well, that's just dandy, isn't it?
So we're going to have to fix it.
Yep. Okay, so first of all, I would like to test the accuracy of this,
which is a little limiting in certain areas.
So what I'm going to do is, apparently, I'm not the best folder.
I'm going to come along and trim it to make it look like I'm the best folder.
Okay, that's what I'm going to do.
Put it here. Put it here.
Help this works.
You don't know. I think it will work in my mind. It works.
All right. There we go.
And then same thing on the bottom where the edges have not approximated or come
together the way they do in my dreams.
All right.
Now we're going to take the, if you didn't know what that was, it was a crop of dial,
coin or a jumper.
Or we're going to jump. It's like we did.
What we're going to do before we ink, because I think that's more efficient.
Okay. So now all this is nice.
Now, if your edges are at all still rough, go grab your old friend,
our old friend,
sanding sponge or sanding block.
Okay.
There we go.
And that's going to give you those nice velvety edges, which are so desirable.
Okay.
Okay. So let's do something different this time.
Purple in here.
Let me see if I can find some purple ink.
I haven't pulled up purple ink in forever.
All right.
Okay. I'm digging.
Look, I know I have some purple.
Purple.
Here we go. Found it.
Okay. That wasn't too long.
The two purples. I got shaded lilac, which is a light purple or darker purple,
wilted violet.
Not used much, but here we go.
All right.
All right. We're going to do this pinky thing.
You can probably pass off a purple on that a little bit.
Yeah. It's purple now.
Yep. It's edging it in purple, which I think is looking pretty because there is some purple gelato or whatever I used.
It's time and I'm taking any of the white and just purpling it down on the edges.
Okay. Now I do need to open it.
Go around the back as well.
I think what I should do is open the whole thing.
Oh, my hearts are not glued together.
Come on, hearts. You can do it.
All right. Pink and gold hearts with purple accent.
How about that for a color bonanza right before your eyes?
Now this inking will cover a myriad of little tiny errors or little blue birds or little goofs that came along.
I'm going to go on the inside here and we can see if we just cover this area in enough purple where it looks like nothing happened.
It's going to be our initial attempt.
Oh, look. I got some purple.
Oh, it's going off.
Oh, not really.
Just what it is.
Okay. All right.
Now that is very good.
Now we have a little conundrum here.
You need to stick down and stay where you belong.
There you go.
Okay. Now we're going to do the folds.
Probably tear these poor little hearts even more.
Poor little broken hearts. They're okay though.
They know what they're only paper and anything could happen.
So it's A. Okay.
But this is a fun little idea. You can make little...
Like this might be cute to put four little pictures in, which we could totally do.
Oh, I see. Let me grab some little pictures.
Hold on.
Yeah.
I got little pictures. I'm sure I have little pictures.
My gosh. I hope I have little pictures.
Or maybe we can find little pictures.
Hang on.
If you don't have real photographs, you can always use pictures in magazines and stuff like that.
Let's just see.
Oh, kind of big, kind of big.
It's going through some old photos.
These are all originals. Oh, you did little baby.
So cute.
And I don't want to tear you up.
Oh, I want a little picture.
Oh, now that just takes...
That takes a cake.
Um, you know, this guy is kind of small.
I'm not like cute on there.
This might be a nice thing to do for Valentine's.
Maybe we could use him.
He's kind of cute.
We could use him.
My computer is telling me something.
No, which is telling me.
Here's another picture. Oh, maybe he's in love with her.
That would be nice.
That will work.
Okay.
So...
Now, maybe...
Just maybe we could get all fancy pants.
If I have a heart punch.
I need that one.
There's one.
I don't know if it's too big. Hold on.
I'll get it.
They're retrieving it, and I'm back.
All right, here we are.
Is that going to be too big?
It might be all right.
Let's try one.
Well, let's do a test paper.
Oh, can I have any paper?
You know, why is it so hard to find a piece of paper?
We know all you got is paper.
Okay, so let's just do a sample.
Here's a good way to say it.
Okay, have a heart.
All right.
Okay, now I have punched out a heart.
Yes, the hearts do fit here, so we can go forward.
And I'm actually going to punch out these photographs.
So I can see.
Okay, there we go.
That's nice.
All right.
I got that guy.
Oh, that's kind of a cool idea of punching photographs.
I've never done that before.
This girl.
I don't know if she's going to punch.
We might have to do a different size for her.
Maybe a round one.
Maybe we might need to do a round one for her.
That's too big.
That's too big.
That might work.
I don't know if that's going to work.
It might be too.
I'm only going to round the top of the bottom.
I won't get the whole punch.
Well, we'll just take what we can get with her.
Okay, there we go.
She said, oh, it's Beverly Anderson.
It was Beverly Anderson.
Thank you, Beverly, for coming to play and our thing here.
Maybe I can even layer you with one of those hearts or something.
It would look cool.
But you there.
Maybe we'll put you there and you here.
We don't want to build it too thick or it won't fall.
Remember?
Right.
Okay, so let's move these over here before I destroy any other pictures.
Maybe let's get some brown ink on here and look a little vintage.
What a cool idea doing the paper punches with the photos.
All right.
Yeah, that looks really cool.
I like that a lot.
Okay.
Gluistic.
Seems to be working well.
All right.
I'm a guy.
Then that totally distracts from any weirdness here.
I think it works perfectly.
It's all I'm saying.
I'm just going with it.
And.
Oh, look at the richness.
Yeah, when you work with those oxides, they're very rich.
I get that all over everything.
It's always good to have a little wiperoo, close by.
Damn one even better.
Okay.
I'll tilt it back.
Let's put the lid on.
Okay, we'll glue that one down.
Take the lid off.
How efficient.
I know.
I know.
All right.
Here we go.
So layering it up.
Layering it down.
And then we'll put her down here.
So we'll just leave it up to the mystery of it all.
Like maybe there.
It's like a romance because there's hearts.
And you know it's Valentine's and all that.
Yeah.
That's a little bit more.
Now she looks like she's got many mouse ears on.
Well, you know, we get what we get when we do this.
So there you go.
Now you could definitely, I think I'm going to leave the space here for writing.
In case somebody wants to write something there.
But I think that looks really cute.
And that's good.
Back down.
Just got to give a little push a roof.
Let's see.
That sounds really good.
So I don't have a tab on this one.
Do they all need tabs?
Yeah.
They all need tabs.
I don't think so.
I think tab is optional.
Totally optional.
And maybe just maybe to give this one closure.
We're going to use an altered paperclip to lose it.
Yes.
And we are going to do that.
And now that one is close.
So we hit that one.
And the other one is now here.
The butterfly one.
So just two different styles.
Okay.
You can see which one is your favorite.
Or if you'd like to try this.
You have to open it.
So it goes.
So you can glue different things to the inside.
Use it for different purposes.
This will be fun to paperclip into a junk journal.
And you had a pretty page.
Any page will do.
And you just, you can just paperclip the whole thing there.
And there you go.
So let me see if, oh, Mr. Snuffers has something to say.
Yes.
Yet no.
Let's just say mother is going to hear about it.
Okay.
And now for Sunshine.
Hello, everybody.
It's Sunshine.
Okay.
We have a news report at the paper outpost.
Right, Mom?
Right, Mom?
Yes.
Yes, we do.
Okay.
Should I pass up?
Yes.
I think it's time that you come forward and let them know what you found.
Yeah.
Do I have to say more?
Okay.
Let's just say that Sunshine was blamed for the missing microphone.
And it was not Sunshine's fault.
Sunshine had nothing to do with it.
Sunshine was falsely accused and purely innocent.
And this must reach the headlines everywhere.
Because, look, I show no interest in this microphone.
Do I want it?
No.
I don't.
You see?
So, where was it?
Plugged in right where Mama left it.
It was plugged in in the kitchen, getting charged.
So, I'm expecting a full apology written, signed and dated by Pam at the paper outpost.
Then, I might forgive you.
I don't know yet.
I'm thinking about it.
I'm contemplating.
I will get back to you on this.
Sunshine helped.
You're lucky I'm such a soft mom.
I know.
I know.
Alright.
Yes.
I confess.
Sunshine did not hide my mic from myself.
It was myself hiding my mic from myself.
I guess I should clip it on and keep it in one spot.
So, you can actually hear what I'm saying.
So, there you go folks.
I hope you had fun today.
We send our love and hugs to you.
