Watson's Browns Future Uncertain

On April 4, Brown's owner Jimmy Haslam drops some news this week, saying that Sean Watson has a

solid shot at starting for Cleveland next season. The former Clemson star joined the team in a

trade that still called one of the league's biggest flops, but Haslam sees potential for him

to lead. The huddle come fall. Watson's time with the Browns has been rough on the injury front.

He only started six games back in 2022, then got hit with Season Enders in 2023 and 2024.

This year, he tore his Achilles for the third time in his career, right before week one even kicked

off. Fans and analysts are scratching their heads over this, given Watson's track record.

Since landing in Cleveland, he suited up for 19 starts, throwing for just over 3,300 yards,

19 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. That puts him near the bottom in performance and durability

among starters. The quarterback room doesn't inspire much confidence either, with Dylan Gabriel

and Shader Sanders both having shaky seasons behind them. Watson might grab the gig, but it says

more about the Browns front office struggles than any breakout from the signal caller himself.

Still, if Watson stays healthy, he could flip the script and give Cleveland a real spark,

keeping an eye on training camp to see how it shakes out.
