Butterfield discussed the organization's focus on modernizing the Democratic Party's digital strategies. She emphasized the need for a "digital-first" approach, highlighting that Democrats outspent Republicans online two to one in 2024 but still lacked effective digital engagement. Butterfield noted that 54 percent of voters are disengaged from politics and stressed the importance of tailoring messages to voters' lived experiences, such as back-to-school affordability concerns. She also addressed the impact of Trump's policies on voter behavior and the necessity for Democrats to hold Republicans accountable for their actions.
