We're Back! Welcome to Gane Time

About this episode

We're back with a new name, a new format and a whole new season of life.

Relatbale Parenting is officially Gane Time. After taking a few months off for sickness, work, starting a business and just...life, we're finally picking the mics back up.

But this time, we're getting out of the studio.

Each week, we're bringing you along for date night as we talk marriage, parenting, faith, business, health, work and whatever else is happening in our lives that week. Think part podcast, part vlog, part third-wheeling our date night.

For our first episode back, we're heading to Newport Beach, catching you up on where we've been, and sharing what you can expect from Gane Time.

Hey and welcome back to the podcast. As you can see, we are no longer relatable parenting. We are now gain time and we're so excited to be back podcasting together and are excited for the next chapter. But first, Priscilla, don't you tell them why we were gone in first place? We were gone just because of life things. We got really busy, which I'm sure is relatable to all of you. I got really sick, which was the biggest reason why we took a break. And then also we started a new business. So the long story short is that we were busy and I was sick. We'll go into more details on those kinds of things in future episodes. Speaking of future episodes, why don't you tell the podcast family what they can expect for future episodes? Yeah, so it's going to be a completely different format. We're not going to be in our house most of the time. Actually, we're going to be taking you with us on our date nights. We usually get one per week and it's going to be super authentic and quick, short spurts of what's going on in our lives, what we're learning, what we

want to share, what we think is valuable to our community and basically people that are in the same life stages as us. Even those that aren't in the same life stages as us can probably glean from this, but it's more so of an entertaining podcast with some wisdom and value that you can implement into your lives, whether that's parenting, business, professionalism, or just everyday life wisdom. We'll also probably talk about Jesus, probably a lot. We love him and he's the most important thing in our lives. So yeah, this is just going to be a great show to spread the gospel and show that Christians are sometimes weird, but mostly normal people. So it's going to be a good time and I'm excited about it. I like this type of format a lot better because it's not put together, it's not super curated. It's our real lives. So if you want to get to know us better, well, better way than to come on a date with us. So this is the first episode where are we going tonight? I don't even know. We're in Newport Beach and we are located in Orange County, so Newport

Beach isn't far from us. We go here often for date night as you all will come to see. We're excited to take you out of the studio and bring you along for a date night at True Food Kitchen in Newport Beach. And we've heard a lot of good things about it and we're excited to check it out. I think the last time I came here for something for work and they ordered the food for me, so I'm excited to order whatever the heck I want. And I've heard a lot about this place because just like me, they're very crunchy. So they air fry their chicken tenders. They don't use seed oil supposedly, so excited to get a healthy but probably expensive meal. And that's okay because you're worth it. Wow. Thanks. What a guy. I'm excited. You just made me think of something a good future episode. So back in the day when we were really broke, which not like we're fallen right now, but we do go on some pretty nice date nights as of late. So thank you, God, that's a blessing that we can do that. But back in the day when we were like super broke and super day for EMZ, our date nights used to be

doing our grocery shopping at Costco. I actually think that it would be so funny because Josh is the crunchiest person ever. He does all of our grocery shopping. Let me know DM me and let me know or text me. However, you want to reach out to me. We'll let you know at the end of this episode all the ways that you can reach out to us. But reach out. Let me know if you're interested on us throwing it back and taking you on a Costco date night. So you can see Josh in his element, grocery shopping and reading every label. There's so many directions that we could go with this as someone who has really grown to love video editing. I'm super excited to take us out of the studio, especially because our studio was so lame in the first place. It was literally our bedroom at one o'clock in the morning with the most terrible lighting ever. So I'm just excited to bring you guys around to prettier looking places than our house. And yeah, have you get to know us more and hopefully get to know you guys more too. Like Josh said, let us know your recommendations for

date nights. Let us know your recommendations for movies. We love movie date nights too. We're so excited for the new direction and we are also really hungry. So we love you, fam. I don't know what to call you guys anymore, but let me know what you think of if you can think of a name like Gainster sounds kind of that's not bad. Oh, now it's not bad goodness. Now in a junk that I got when I started Gain Style and everyone's like, Gainster, are you kidding? I can't think of anything better. All right, Gainster. See you later. See you next week. Love you.
