Week 3 College Football Bets and Predictions!

We have Tom Cassali and hope to have Mike McClure a little later in the show. Now on this episode we're going to preview six games. We're going to give you our underdogs of the week. We're going to give you our plus money parlay and then in the last segment are best bets. So we have a lot of picks for you on the show and let's not waste any time. Emory we're going to start with you. We got LSU. We have Ole Miss. LSU is now a two point favorite on the road at Ole Miss in a battle of top 10 teams. The total is 57 and a half. But I'm going to ask you a question before you make your pick. Do you buy the injury report that Lane Kippen put out with Sam Levit as doubtful? Absolutely not, man. There's no way Sam Levit is one doubtful and two won't play in this ballgame.

1:00So I'm not believing the greatest troll in college football history in Lane Kippen. So I expect to play well. But in this ballgame I will take Ole Miss plus those points because in my opinion, Ole Miss has the best quarterback on the field in this ballgame and trim that chambles. And I just like the fact that LSU, they will come in. They will come in with firepower. They come in with a good defense. What we haven't really talked about is Sam Levit turned the ball over multiple times in two separate games. So I feel like that's going to come to rear with a ugly head in this contest. And I just think Ole Miss in this significant game, this game is as significant as later on the season between the Browns and Falcons. They cannot lose that game if you're Cleveland. Ole Miss cannot lose this game against Ole Lane Kippen. So I will take them plus the points here. All right, Tom, you heard what Emory said about Sam Levit. Are you buying the interior port or selling it? Well, I got a bigger problem. I love Lane Kippen. I think he's good for college football.

2:01But if he's not doubtful, I think he should, Lane Kippen should be suspended for multiple games. And here's why. When you legalize sports betting, right, you can't have situations where now I just wonder how many people really think the NFL is fixed and scripted. Because my son and his friends talk about it like it's real. And I say to my son all the time, but you know that that's not scripted, right? And when you start doing stuff like this, when you have sports betting involved, that makes me nervous. I just don't think you can do that on the interior report. It's not 25 years ago. You're not bill par cells. So I think it's going to be interesting if he plays because I guarantee you the SEC is going to come down on him. I thought the line itself was right for this game. I made LSU about minus two. I'm kind of with Emory here. I don't know if Levin's going to play. I don't know if, I don't know if Lane Kippen is such a troll that when he says something, people just don't believe him.

3:02I will say this. The line hasn't moved, which is odd, right? LSU is still about minus two, two and a half. So I think that's interesting. I just think Old Miske and two and a half three points at home. I got to take them. I don't have a huge strong opinion on the game, but I think it's going to be close either way. I think Old Miske can score on anybody. I think Trinidad Chamblis is one of the best players in the country. So I'll take the points with the Rebels. All right. So Mike McClure, though he's not with us for this segment, is on LSU with the points. I actually would lean towards that way as well, but that's not my official pick on this game. My thing about it is this. Don't you think if given the opportunity that Lane Kiffin will run up the score if he can? Absolutely. Because the environment is going to be so hostile in Oxford. But I trust LSU's defense over Old Miske, especially when it comes to getting a stop in the fourth quarter. And that's why I lean towards the Tigers. But first, I'm going to play the under 30 and a half in the first half. And the reason I expect that is kind of what we saw from Old Miske and Louisville a few weeks ago and week one on that Sunday night game.

4:03It was a lower scoring first half and then fireworks happened in the second half. We saw those half time adjustments. I think we're going to see that here. So I'm going under 30 and a half in the first half as my official play. But I'll go LSU 34, Ole Miss 29. Not a real comfortable pick, especially with this Levitt news, but I'm leaning LSU along with Mike McClure. All right, our next game is this one's a Friday night game. This is a really fascinating game. We have Texas Tech and Houston. Texas Tech has now moved up to minus eight. The total is 52 and a half. These are two ranked teams in the big 12. I'm kind of torn on this one. McClure is on Texas Tech first quarter minus two and a half. So he thinks that the red raiders get off to a good start. And Emory, you think the red raiders get off to a great start? Well, and hold it for the entire game. You're laying the seven and a half or eight points. Ole Miss. Texas Tech and Houston played this game last year. Houston was 4-0, came into this game and lost 35-11. But I feel like Houston is a little bit better offensively in terms of the run game.

5:03Makai Hughes is a fantastic tellback. So I think this line is a tip of the cap to how good Houston is this year and how good this game is going to be. I know people look at last week in Texas Tech. A lot of factors will happen trying to find this footing with that big knee brace on on a slick feel that was rainy. That a couple of weird gaps in that ball game. I feel like now drier conditions, they'll be fine. They are still the better team, especially on offense. So I like this line the way it is. Things is a good number. I actually think Texas Tech will win by 10. So I will lay the points. I'm actually going to be on the other side here. Once again, not overly confident, but I like Houston plus the points. So both teams have played Oregon State thus far. Houston won fairly easily 33-20. Texas Tech tied in the fourth quarter, ended up winning by double digits. I get it and I'll talk more Oregon State later in the show. But Houston's rush defense in two games, given up 20 total yards. And I also think that last year's Texas Tech team was definitely better. This year's Houston team is better than it was last year.

6:04So I think this game's going to be close. I have it Texas Tech 24, Houston 23. And I would love to see it the other way around, because these Texas Tech fans in the off season with this whole source B thing. Oh, he should be eligible. You talk about an arrogant fan base. I would love to see them lose. All right, Tom, you have a total on this game. Which way are you leaning? Yeah, I think the line's about right. I think it's a tough game to call. I'm going to go over the 52 and a half only because I feel like these totals are being priced like it's last year's Texas Tech defense. And we saw Oregon State have a lot of success against them. And this Oregon State teams improve. They got some talent on offense. But I don't think this is that defensive front last year. I mean, that's why BYU was 0 and 2 against them because of the defensive front. That was the difference. And I don't think they have that group up front. So I think Houston's going to have success on offense. I think Texas Tech is going to have some success offensively. I think it's going to be a pretty competitive game. But I like it to go over the 52 and a half.

7:06And would you take, if you were to make a pick on the game straight up, would you take Texas Tech straight up? Okay. Gosh, I hope they lose. Nothing wrong. I mean, Texas Tech, some Texas Tech fans are great. But come on. I mean, these people think that their team is the Ohio state in the Texas level. And sorry, you guys aren't there. Not this year. All right, onto game number three. And Tom, we're going to let you start first. Another ranked versus ranked SMU number 16 at number 23, Louisville. Louisville is minus 1 and 1 half. The total is 59 and 1 1 1 half. This is a 3 30 PM game on Saturday. Tom, this is one of your best bets not to spoil later in the show. But you love the Cardinals this week. Yeah, I like Louisville here. After a couple games, I try to find which teams are going to be able to run the football games like this, right? Competitive games. One of the things I was concerned about with SMU wendering the season is they have a rebuilt defensive front. Florida State ran for over 200 yards against them with absolutely no

8:08threat of a passing game. I had SMU money line that night and I'm like, what are you guys doing? They can't throw the football, but they just couldn't stop that rushing attack. That concerns me against this Louisville team. They ran for 162 against Ole Miss had almost 400 against Villanova. They got that three headed monster with the Browns in the back field and Keenhol to quarterback who's been one of the better players in the country in the first two first two weeks. So I think this is going to be a close game. But if it comes down to turnovers, remember Kevin Jennings is somewhat turnover prone on the road. He's still in an interception in eight straight road games. I think that can be the difference here along with Louisville wearing them down with the running game in the second half. I like the Cardinals to win a good game at home. So I'm actually going to agree with you. I'm going to lay the one and a half here, but I want to start here. With a win here, we need to have a serious conversation about SMU and the college football playoff once again. They play six of their next seven at home and their toughest games in that stretch are against Virginia who's barely in the top 25 in Virginia Tech who might be at that point.

9:11But with only a game at Notre Dame on November 21st, they could theoretically start 10 and 0 with a win this week. But I think a win would go a long way as well for Louisville who very well might not face another ranked team the rest of the regular season. And Tom, as you mentioned, like I was a lot more impressed with Louisville and their lost Ole Miss than I was in SMU's win over Florida State. Plus, we have a revenge angle for that 32 point beatdown that we saw last year on the road where SMU just smacked Louisville. I have it Louisville 31 SMU 27. So I'm going with Louisville minus the points. Amri, you and Mike are on the same side or actually you're differing here. You're going on the over. Mike has the under. Why are you playing the over 59 and a half? Louisville's core talent on offense is explosive. Quarterback, both running backs, they can score and they're starting to find that confidence. They found the confidence to be completely honest in the second half against Ole Miss. And Tom touched on it with the turnovers that are likely to sprout up in weird ways for Kevin Jennings given Louisville another added possession. I just feel like we'll see this one go back and forth because I can't trust Louisville's

10:13defense and I could also trust SMU's offense in their ability to strike quick. I can see this one being one of the more entertaining games of the entire slate. So I will go over 59 and a half points. Amri, and I kind of referenced it. If SMU wins this game and as I mentioned they play six of their next 700 home and don't really have a really a game where they'll be an underdog until they play Notre Dame on November 21st. If with a win here, would you put SMU as a pretty good bet to make the CFP? It depends, man, because there's a team in the new pack 12 that we'll probably talk about later that looks to be someone that can steal a spot, especially if this game goes how they wanted to go upcoming against another big team in the big 12 and BYU. I'm talking about Colorado State. So there's a bucket of teams and if Louisville wins this game, we may have to have that conversation about them because now the further away we get from that Ole Miss game, we're like, yo, this team actually is pretty dull going good. And I feel like this is a monumental game in my opinion.

11:14Tom, before we make our next pick, the next game is a team between an ACC team and an SEC team. What do you make of non-conference scheduling these days? Do you like seeing aggressiveness like Alabama and Florida State or Ohio State in Texas? Or do you think that's going to end up being a thing of the past? Well, I hope it's not a thing of the past because I mean, let's say that Ohio State Texas game, that's what you're looking for early in the season, right? Here's the thing, this is what we got to do. I understand Ohio State blew that game. I get it, but they also blew that game. So you can't penalize Ohio State for a one-point road loss at Texas in a game they led by 20 in the fourth quarter. You can't do that. So I think when the committee starts putting the teams that deserve to be in and instead of worrying about all this other nonsense, I think that will help it. But if they don't, then why play them, right? So I hope we don't lose them. I really enjoy these big early season games.

12:14Well, we saw it almost cost Alabama last year when they lost by two touchdowns to Florida State, but it's time for some revenge on Saturday as the number 10 Crimson Tide hosts the Florida State Seminoles and are 19-point favorites with a total of 48 and a half on Saturday afternoon. Emory, you're laying the points with Alabama. Yeah, listen, I had halftime of the Kentucky Bama game. You know, we got it on the little monitor at the broadcast and I was like, okay, you know, Kentucky was someone, it was everybody's pick this week. You know, they look like a live pick to win straight up outright and then Alabama just turned it on. And then based on what I've seen from Florida State so far this season, nothing can really shy me away from not taking Bama to cover this spread, man. I just can't trust Florida State outside of Kroema the running back. I can't trust anybody else on Florida State to step up to the task. And plus Alabama's defense will do a great job. I've just turned the ball over and making life miserable for Florida State's offense. So trust in Bama, ladies points here.

13:15I actually like Mike's next pick, but barely. Alabama team total over 34 and a half this game, which obviously would be a nice parlay with your pick, Emory. And Tom, this year pick also is a nice little parlay piece. The Florida State team total under. Tell us about it. Yeah, I'm just, I don't like this Florida State team at all. I wouldn't be surprised if this game gets pretty ugly. I didn't think they did much against SMU's defense. And Alabama's defense is miles better than SMU's defense. You know, I thought they ran the ball up the gut. They're not going to do that against Alabama. I don't think Ashton Daniels is going to make plays on the outside with his receivers against this Bama secondary. So I went under 14 and a half. I just feel like it's going to be really hard for FSU to score. And I think, you know, going into the season, I thought there was going to be a progression for Mike Norbell. Now, this is the, he had the first one SMU. This is going to be even worse in Alabama. I don't even know if he makes Miami in a couple of weeks, but if he does,

14:18that'll be it. He'll be gone after that game. I just see this game getting pretty ugly. Well, I got a signature win last year. And it's not going to happen again this year. But oh, I agree with you guys. I have the game 35 to 10 Alabama over Florida state. I'm going with you under 48 and a half here. I mean, opponents are competing converting 4% of third downs against the Crimson tie this year. 4%. I mean, that's unbelievable. I believe Alabama is going to sell it, stop the run and make Ashton Daniels beat him. And as Emory said, that's probably not going to happen. Plus, we have a revenge angle from last season in play here. So I am out on the seminals. I think it'll be lucky if they get to 10 points. So I love your bet, Tom. And I also like your bet too as well, Emory. Give me out. I'm a 35 Florida state 10 game number five, an SEC match. Now we talk about trap games. We have we have kind of a and time you kind of references on last week's show. Oklahoma had Michigan, New Mexico, and then Georgia. Well, Georgia's got, I mean, a game where they could be looking ahead,

15:19but they're going on the road as 24 and a half point favorites at Arkansas. This is an early game on Saturday with a total of 54 and a half. Emory, you and I are on this, you and Micah on the same side, laying the 24 and a half with Georgia. Yeah, listen, Georgia is a juggernaut. I am a big fan of what they do in order to build their program in this era. They're one of the more consistent developmental teams in college football. In terms of, you know, guys leave, they go to the pros. There's a next slated guy is ready to go in the understanding system and he all looked the part too. So this is an easy one for me. I trust Georgia in the spot, which is why I'm comfortable in these points. Micah's with you. I don't disagree with you one bit, but Tom, you and I are on the same bad. I usually don't play first half totals, but I'm on the over 28 and a half as are you. Why do you like it? Yeah, Emory, you mentioned Georgia. The kind of interesting because this preseason, not many people were talking about Georgia. Idiots like me were talking about Oregon. And you see what they've done.

16:20Notre Dame was a popular pick, Texas. But Oregon or Georgia was kind of sneaking around there. They weren't getting a ton of talk like they usually do. You know, they've come out. They've massacred to cupcakes, which they don't always do either. So they're playing well. I don't know how Arkansas stops this team. I really don't. I think Georgia, I mean, they scored 49 straight points on a western Kentucky last week before they called off the dogs. I think they're going to get 24 to 28 themselves. If Arkansas can get a few points on the board, I think this goes over in the first half. So Tom, I'll take a little bit of credit here. I mean, it's week three, so I can't really get that far ahead of myself. But I had Georgia winning the national championship, but I didn't think they'd look this good. I'll be it. I mean, western Kentucky is not very good. And then the team that they played before that was an FCS team. So no thanks. But Georgia has 19 touchdowns and two games. They look like the best team in the country. And once again, I know they've played awful opponents. But this is, I'm not looking at this a trap game. I think they're focused enough to take care of business early and get the starters out

17:22by the fourth quarter. Arkansas looked dreadful against Utah last week. I think all we're going to need in the first half, Tom, is one score from Arkansas. And I think this goes over 28 and a half. So I'm good with that. I think I think Georgia scores at least 24 in the first half. Just give us a touchdown. A gift touchdown for Arkansas will take that. And we will cash some tickets on the water. Final game of the big games this week. This is a noon kickoff on Saturday. It's a battle of unranked teams, but it's still an interesting matchup. Clemson is a three point favorite against North Carolina with the total of 43 and a half. Emory UNC. Can they win this game outright? Are you going to play the money line? Or are you just going to take the points? I'm going to take the points. Although I wouldn't be shy about playing the money line. I just like the fact that we've seen this team play discipline football. They didn't back to week zero. And I like that this team has come in now. Even more adversity with their defensive coordinators stepping down, resigning, you know, Bill Belacek's son. So remember, Michael Embardi was the one that had to take a leave of absence from the team.

18:24And then he was later on this left team or whatever going into week zero. So this team is they're comfortable with being uncomfortable as coaches like to say. And Clemson, they just look defeated. And I feel like this is a spot where North Carolina can catch those guys. Slippin, this is more about how aggressive North Carolina is defensively and how Clemson can handle pressure, which they weren't able to do going back to what they did versus LSU. This is a big game for North Carolina. I think this would be a big game win for Bill Belacek. All right. Well, I think Davos done, Emory. I think his time he'll be on TV next year if things continue this way. Would you agree? Yeah. Davo has let it be known that, you know, he's he's checked out. He's a kind of like Sabin was that final year. He was kind of like, all right, you start he started to be a little bit more open in how he's kind of checked out. I mean, listen, he probably enjoys the salary, but he definitely does not enjoy the transfer portal. Now Mike has a UNC first half team total under nine and a half at even money.

19:25So keep an eye on that low scoring first half. And Tom, you and I like under for the game. It's nice to decide with you so much on this week's show. Why are you playing the under 43 and a half? Yeah. I mean, I can't think of a game this week. I care about less. Who would have thought about that? Who would have thought that would be the case, right? Davo versus Belacek. I just like UNC doesn't have enough talent to be relevant in my opinion. I know they beat TCU. That's a nice win. And Clemson isn't as talented as LSU. We know that, but there was some quit in that team. And it didn't take long for him to quit. So I wouldn't play Clemson minus anything over anybody. I just wouldn't do that right now. And I think both offenses are bad. I don't think either team has a quarterback. You know Belacek's team will at least be ready defensively, right? You know, they're going to get after it defensively. They did against TCU. So I'm going to go under 43 and a half. I hate to go under such a low total and college football,

20:25but I just don't see these teams scoring much. And I'm with you, Tom. I think this game is just going to be UGLY ugly. I mean, UNC kind of stinks offensively, but they're defense based on what we saw against TCU in week zero. Not bad. And Clemson's offense, well, not good. North Carolina 19 Clemson 17. This goes under by a touchdown. Our next is a segment where Emory Hunt is dominating. It's like you just kick butt every week in our underdogs and plus money party. It's time for the long shot lounge. And Emory, let me just say this. You hit, you hit an underdog in week one. So you're the only one that's far by hitting Colorado. So you get to start us off in our dogs of the week segment. You and Tom are on the same side. Who are you going with? Mississippi State over South Carolina. And it was fascinating about this man. It was as I prepared for the game I called last week, the Colorado State Southern Utah game. All I saw online because I watched the first quarter of this game

21:28was people talking about Drake Lindsay in these passes. Then I looked at the box board and that game he's like three for three. And I wonder what are people talking about? Meanwhile, on the side, Kamari O'Tele was actually cooking. Working these guys down the field. He's looking like a better version of what people expect the Lord Norris tell us to be. So I feel like they have the better quarterback in this ballgame. It looked like a well oiled machine. Now when you win, you feel confidence. You feel all that type of sweat equity in the system. And all of those things Jeff, let me preach about. I just think the better team is going to win this ballgame. And I just so happen to catch it at plus 150. So give me Mississippi State straight up. Tom, this is a game I looked at. And I'm like, I'm staying away. But then when I see you, you both of you picking Mississippi State, I'm going, oh, maybe I missed something. Why do you like the Bulldogs? Well, I think it's a pretty even game. I mean, I actually like South Carolina a little bit this year. But I was impressed with Mississippi State last week. I know Emory liked them and I almost played them.

22:30It just Minnesota is one of those places you go there. And you bet the other team and you're sitting there watching the game and you're wondering, how's Minnesota have the lead? You know what I mean? Like they don't do anything well. And I just didn't want to go through that agony. But Mississippi State would in there and just took care of business. And for a younger team like this, going to a place like Minnesota when he convincingly, I was impressed with that. So I think this game's going to go down the fourth quarter. I think it's going to be one of the better games of the weekend with Mississippi State having a chance to win at the end. So I'll take them at plus 150. And McClure is going to join you guys. The three of you are on Mississippi State plus 150. There's no EC Island here. I mean, obviously I can't. And by the way, EC Island was not good last week. Emory Island was one and OEC Island, ON1, BYU. That was painful. But you were right on that one. ASU is painful for me. BYU is what you hit. Emory. All right. I'm going to pick one that's kind of off the radar here. And I'm going to try the transitive property, which is not necessarily the greatest. But let's go with this. Give me San Jose State plus 205 against Fresno State.

23:32So both teams played USC. Both teams were down by 32 at USC after three quarters. San Jose State didn't quit and outscored the Trojan's 23-7 in the fourth quarter. Meanwhile, USC outscored Fresno State 7-0 in the fourth quarter. Fresno State got shut out. I think San Jose State has a decent offense under Ken Nui Madelolo. I'm not sure Fresno State does. I know they scored a bunch of points against some sorry team last week. I think San Jose State at home is a gift here to get in six and a half. I like him at plus 205 on the money line. I know the plus money party. And what a surprise. Emory Hunt, you hit a five to one part of the last week. You are one and one. You're up over four units through two weeks this year. We're going to have you start it off. What do you got in plus money party this week? Well, firstly, in the game that should be called, how did they end up down here? That's the Ohio Bobcats traveling the mobile to take on South Alabama. I don't know how these get to that one, but shout out to the Bobcats traveling down South to take on the Jaguars.

24:33I like them plus six and a half. I think we'll see the Bobcats take care of business. South Eastern Louisiana. I've said this before, San's Northwestan State that has kind of ruined it for everybody. There's no bad football Louisiana at any level of college football except Northwestan State now, but they do have a FCS national championship on their mantle that they won back in the day. So I will give them credit for that. So I will say, no, they didn't have an F start. My bad, they have a great quarterback in Barbie Bear that was out there in the early 80s playing ball. But I will like Southeast Louisiana plus 11 and a half against you of a row. Said all that to say, there's no real separation between the top tier FCS schools in Louisiana and the G six schools. Obviously, LSU is a different animal. So we'll leave them out the equation. And I also like App State minus seven so you can have against Charlotte. Charlotte's defense is non-existent. App State should have a blast playing offense in this ball game and it will show and manifest itself out there on the scoreboard. Now, are you picking against Monroe

25:33because there are rivals of your raging cajons? Partly yes, but I do have a soft spot for them because they showed us what Ahmad Hardy was before he went off and went to Missouri and our new colleague Doug Peterson was a stellar quarterback at you all, Monroe. So I do now have a little bit of a soft spot for the warhol. Okay, I'm good with that. All right, McClure's gonna go with a three-leggeder here. Texas Tech on the Moneyline. LSU on the Moneyline and the Louisville SMU game under 59 and a half in that pays plus 331. Tom, and so we see Mike's parlay. Tom, you have one just over three to one because that's what you need to do for this segment. You have a three-leggeder. What do you have? What are you giving us this week? I'm gonna go with the Virginia Tech Moneyline. They demolished Old Dominion last week. For some reason, I had to sit there in the fourth quarter still sweating minus 19 and a half in a completely one-sided game because Old Dominion scored twice in three minutes. But they really dominated that game. They've looked good so far and I just, I'm not a fan of this Maryland team.

26:35We'll see what they have. To me, that's a school that's gonna have a new coach next year. So I like Virginia Tech on the Moneyline. Take Virginia over West Virginia on the Moneyline. Spreads 10 and a half. I don't wanna go there, but you know I love me a good offensive line. And this Virginia offensive line is just dominant. And I think they're gonna be too much for West Virginia. And then I'm gonna go BYU Colorado State over 52 and a half. And listen, BYU's defense is nasty, but I thought that was a high level football game against Arizona. I thought it was an emotional game. It was a hard hitting game. I'm actually looking at that Arizona more down as the season goes on because I was impressed with Arizona. BYU's a really good team. But this is a sleepy spot. Now, going on the road to Colorado State and they have some offensive talent. Emory was there alive. He's seen Haas Haney. He knows he can throw it around a little bit. So I think if Colorado State can give us 17 points, I think they're gonna stay in this game for a little while before BYU's,

27:37they dominate them in the trenches and pull away. But I think it'll go over 52 and a half. All right, Emory. You just mentioned, you know, you called that game last week, the Colorado State game. We were talking about it before we went on the air. What do you think of Tom's pick of the over this week? I like it, man. Firstly, I'm super, Colorado State is like the Buffalo Bills of College Football. It's like every time I look up, they're playing at home. Like how did they get all these home games, right? And so this is the third street home game for Colorado State. But men and offense is explosive. It's dynamic. Haas Haney was tremendous. And he had a 75-year-old touchdown run where he kind of went, he was zoned, we went down the sideline and high stepped out of a tackle and went all the way to the end zone. But what's fascinating about Colorado State and we just talked about this with these young teams like Mississippi State. When you win and you win, conventionally, the metacompanies is growing. The crowd out there was electric. They had so many people at the game watching the Southern Utah game. Usually, the FCS, FBS matchups don't have enough, you know, they don't really sell out,

28:37but that game was packed. And now that they're undefeated, having beat their rival in Wyoming and now incomes BYU, this is gonna be like Tom Tauke. It's gonna be a crazy atmosphere. So I can see this one going back and forth because both teams can score. And my plus money parlay this week, give me the Ohio State Kent State under 59 and a half. And I gave a stat last week about Matt Patricia's defense is not allowing three defensive touchdowns. They did in a game. They did it in the fourth quarter against Texas. That's not happening. I don't think Kent State scores on Saturday. Going with the Iowa, Northern Iowa under 49 and a half. It's never a bad idea to bet onters in Iowa games. And I'm playing an all-line here and taking New Mexico plus 28 and a half against Oklahoma. Tom referenced it last week. This is a trap game for Oklahoma in between Michigan and Georgia. I think New Mexico keeps it. Definitely within four touchdowns. I'm using that just in case, that is a plus for 28 parlay under Ohio State Kent State under Iowa, Northern Iowa and New Mexico plus 28 and a half. And finally, it is time for our best bets.

You know what I'm saying? So I was glad to see my cages put up a fight. But I will say later 20 and a half points with Miami. I joke with Tom on Monday with Sia on the early edge show. Like I will take Miami minus 17 and a half to 24 and a half because this number has fluctuated. It doesn't matter to me. They will roll, wake forest. So I trust the hurricanes there. And here's a fun one. Delaware State and head football coach, the Sean Jackson is a fantastic coach. They will not lose by more than 38 points to South Florida. I know that people see that number and see Delaware State plus 37 and a half was going on. The Hornets can play their well-coaster discipline. They fight. This is a football team that will probably keep this one under 20 points if they lose this ball game. But they will definitely go in there and not get blown out. And I don't feel like South Florida is that of that caliber team

31:44to where you can worry about the spread. So this would be a closer than people think game but definitely closer with plus 37 and a half. And that is an emery hunt special when we're getting a battle of the wide receivers. DeSean Jackson against Brian Hartline taking Delaware State plus 37 and a half. Tom, I'm going to have you go second here. You liked Louisville earlier. You talked about him, but they are one of your best bets. Yeah, again, I think it's going to be a competitive game. I just think Louisville's rushing attack. I mean, I wouldn't even be surprised if S.I.M. he was leading this game at halftime. I think there's going to be Ebb's and flows. But I think they're running game in the fourth quarter. That's what's going to be the difference here. And then for my second pick, I'm going to go with Indiana minus 26 in the first half. Usually Kurt Signetti blows these teams out early. They've outscored North Texas and Howard 65 to six in the first half. Western Kentucky's been the opposite. They've been outscored 70 to 13 in the first half. And one of those teams was Nevada, who ran for 323 yards and averaged 8.40 yards

32:44per play against this team. So the other thing is here, man, I need some karma. So listen, I can't catch a break on the show going back to last year. Last week I was debating between Kentucky and Virginia attack. Virginia attack covers. Kentucky is up as a 10 and a half point dog, like Emory mentioned, up a halftime. They don't score again. So here's the thing. Our producer went to Indiana. Emory got recruited by Indiana. My son's visiting Indiana this summer. So we need some good karma. Kurt Signetti, I might be one of those boosters soon. So cover for the boosters, cover that 26 and a half. You kiss up, Tom. It's our producer, Ben. He does a great job behind the scene. And of course he had to do that because I bashed Indiana on the show last week and look what that got me. All right, McClure's picks has LSU minus two and a half as one of his best bets. And of course, Kansas State team total over 34 and a half against Tulane. Now it's a Louisiana school. So I'm sure Emory does not approve of that.

33:45But Mike's team is laying 20 and a half. He's not going to lay the 20 and a half. He's playing there over 34 and a half team total. Emory, any thoughts on Mike's picks? Since he's going up against Louisiana school, I have to ask. No, I laugh because it's Kansas State. So Mike is going to go Kansas State in some point in form in the show. So that's why I laugh. But shout out to Tulane. Tulane is a fun school. I love what they've done with their uniforms. Now it's always something different down the street for our world with the high school, which is partly the reason why they didn't go because it was on the same. Too close to him. Yeah, like literally two blocks away from our high school. Yeah, that's too close to home. I'm with you there. All right, guys, this is crazy for my two best bets. Three and one in the first two weeks. This is the largest parlay I've ever made in college football. And I maybe I'm crazy with these games. Give me Montana plus 17 and a half at Oregon State. So Montana's 16 and two since the beginning of last season, with their only two losses to Montana State, who's the National Champs. Eli Gilman, preseason FCS, all American at running back, 328 yards and seven touchdowns, thus far in three blowout wins this season.

34:47Now Oregon State is an improved team, but are they deserving to be favored over a top five FCS team by three scores because of two double digit losses to big 12 top 25 teams? No, they've lost by double digits twice. Why are they giving 17 and a half to a top five team in FCS? And oh, by the way, top five FCS teams are three and one straight up against FBS teams this year. Now, I don't think Montana's gonna win, but I think Oregon State is not gonna come close to covering. Give me Oregon State 34, Montana 27. And my next pick, I'm gonna play the over in the North Dakota Nebraska game, 51 and a half. Last year we saw North Dakota, first week of the year, go to Kansas State, Mike's Kansas State team, and fall 3835 in a game that flew over. And that was a team that lost six games at North Dakota team. The fighting sewer are a lot better this year. They are number six in FCS. And in their three wins, they are averaging 50 points a game. Nebraska in two games is also averaging 50 a game. I wanted to take the points there as they're getting 24 and a half

35:50North Dakota was, but instead I'll play in the Nebraska 42 North Dakota 21. And that is well over 51 and a half. Mike, sorry, Emory, do you approve of my two FCS picks as you look at the board here? For this closure, I am an FCS top 25 voter. And my number two team is Montana. So I like that. And Eli Gilmium, glad you mentioned him. That's a legit NFL prospect, a senior bull type guy that we'll see playing either a senior or a shrine bull. This come January. So I like that pick. That's gonna be a very close game. Listen, and this is something interesting about that fighting hawks team in North Dakota. Every time I, I met an all-star game, I see a green helmet with an ego on it. And it's somebody from North Dakota. So they got a lot of talent up there. That game last year against Kansas State, North Dakota lost that game more so than Kansas State won that game. And that was in the Trojus collapse in the fourth quarter by North Dakota State. So I love that pick. I love both of those FCS picks. Tom, looking at the board here, and I'll recap it here in a second.

36:51What is your favorite pick that you didn't make on the board? Yeah, I just wanted to mention, you mentioned Montana two losses to Montana State. Montana State actually is only second to Indiana. With 17 straight wins. Indiana has 18. And if you saw what Montana State, how they believed in Nevada last week, then that team could be. Montana State is North Dakota State. They're an FBS school. So two losses to Montana State, that that's, I think Montana State beat Oregon State. So I like that pick plus the 17 and a half. I know that number went way up. That's actually, I actually, I'm gonna stay in that game, EC. I like your Montana play, and I also think that game's gonna go over. I think Montana's gonna score against Oregon State. I've been somewhat impressed with Oregon State's offense with their young guys, but their defense isn't there yet. And as Emily was saying, this is one of the better offenses in FCS. I think, you know, I think they're gonna cover your 17 and a half.

37:51And I think they're gonna score some points here. I will say this two guys, while we B.S. and Montana, Montana State might be conference may soon with Oregon State in the pack 12. Yeah, I'll play. Let me tell you something, Emily. I, me and my son were gonna fly out to that game this year to watch it, because it's one of the things we wanna go to. I mean, $1,000 a ticket, Montana, Montana, what are we doing here? We have B.S. Price. I mean, give me a break. I mean, we wanna go to a football game. I'm gonna fly eight hours to watch it. You know, $1,000 a ticket. Give me a break. Getting ready for the pack 12. I'm not sure I've ever heard anyone say they were flying out to the Montana, Montana State game, but Tom, appreciate your passing. From the North, from New York, exactly. Let's recap our week three best bets. I'm on Montana plus 17 and a half in Oregon State in the North Dakota, Nebraska, over 51 and a half McClure is on LSU minus two and a half at Ole Miss and he cans a state team total, over 34 and a half against two Lane. Emory is on Miami minus 20 and a half against Wake Forest.

38:53He loves him, Sondarian Mensa and that Hurricane Squad and then Delaware State getting 37 and a half playing South Florida this week. Tom is on Louisville Moneyline against SMU in Indiana minus 26 and a half in the first half against. Do we know who they're playing Tom? I don't even know what Patsy, Indiana is scheduled this week. Oh, Western Kentucky. Okay, I mean, Western Kentucky, on paper, was supposed to be good. He's talking about Western Kentucky going against Georgia and Indiana and back to back weeks. Man, who did that schedule? Schedule. All right, before we get going here, we did this on the first week of the show, so I'm gonna ask you guys, your favorite team, I want you to make a pick on their game. Emory, you're Louisiana, Rage and Cajuns. Have a home game against UAB and they're given seven and a half, which way are you leaning? I'm taking my cadence to win straight up. Like we showed up and showed out in LA. We had a three-nothing lead against USC. You can't tell me nothing the rest of the way. So you're not, but you're not playing, so you're giving seven and a half. You don't want to play the, you don't want to lay the points?

39:54I like a lay the points. I can climb the points. I can put the points to sleep. I don't matter, Cajuns in four. There you go, can't argue with that. Tom, you're where you live nearby, Syracuse. On the road at Pitt, interesting early season ACC game, the Orange Men are getting 10 and a half points, which way do you lean? Yeah, I'm gonna try to be objective here because I gave out Syracuse last week. And when I tell you that's one of the more aggravating losses I've had in the last decade, I'm not kidding you. I mean, you're talking 15 penalties, two big part returns called back, three interceptions, misto field goals. I mean, they did everything they could to lose that game. I'll say this, I think the line is a little bit high because Syracuse really controlled the game against Cal. I just, they're just so, they're not buttoned up. They're just, they're all over the place, but I do think that game is gonna be pretty competitive. I think Pitt will win. I guess I'll take the 10 and a half here with Syracuse. And I am gonna actually get,

40:55I'm actually going to lay the points with, or take the points with Northern Illinois getting 33 and a half into Sun, against my Arizona Wildcats, Arizona get up early, get no if a Fiat out of the game. They are there on the road on CBS next week at Washington State. We don't wanna see no if a Fiat to play in the fourth quarter against arguably the worst team in FBS. So it can be Northern Illinois plus 33 and a half Arizona wins by four touchdowns instead of five. Guys, great show. They're gonna pound them. They're gonna win by 60. I'm telling you. You think they're gonna win that? You're taking, I think they're gonna, 55-3. Put that score in the books. 55-3 Arizona. You're too close to AEC, you're too close. You didn't see what I saw last week. I saw a pretty even game between two really good football teams. Take a breath, it's gonna be okay. I'm not paying, you win by four touchdowns. There's no panic here. And by the way, I gave out, I gave out Illinois State over Northern Illinois last week and they covered minus three and a half, one by four. Sometimes you take the lucky wins. We'll go with it.
