Hey, this is Strawberry, how y'all feeling out there today?
I hope everybody is doing well.
If you're not doing well, let's find a way to get well,
look well, and of course, be well.
Today, what do you see?
Every day you call me something different than what you see.
Open your eyes, clear your mind, and realize I am someone kind and friendly.
Most of the time, every day you look into my eyes,
watch me cry and tell me they fertilize.
Look at me and tell me you apologize for hurting me for the things I decided to hide.
Every day that I suppose to smile, I hold my head down so no one sees my friend.
Look at me and tell me what you see because I am not happy with you or me.
Every day that I try to change you, continue to call me names that makes me feel ashamed.
Look at me and tell me what you see because I see a person that's stressed
but still should be treated like a human.
Every day is something different.
If I can get one person to listen without being offensive,
I can hold my head up, laugh, be strong, and end my everyday with sadness.
And you will realize I'm more than you want the world to see.
I'm intelligent, wise, and sophisticated.
Look at me and tell me what you see without the mistakes and hate that you left inside of me.
Wow, look at me, what do you see?
I see a beautiful person that wants to be herself,
wants to be noticed, wants to attention, wants to be loved, wants to feel kind, wants to have peace,
wants to be heard.
That's what I see.
What do you see?
