What The Carnivore Diet Did To Her Kidneys | Dr. Shawn Baker & Ira Sahay

In 2021, Ira was diagnosed with a life-threatening autoimmune kidney disease called Membranous Nephropathy. This condition caused her to leak 7635 mg/dl of protein (proteinuria), leading to significant hair loss, reduced skin firmness, and muscle mass depletion due to the severe protein loss through her kidneys. At that time, kidney transplantation seemed inevitable.

Despite seeking answers from medical professionals, Ira found none that satisfied her. Consequently, she delved into research and, contrary to medical advice to limit protein intake for her kidney condition, she adopted a strict Carnivore diet. Remarkably, within a year, Ira's condition improved dramatically. Upon reevaluation by the same doctor at the same hospital, it was noted on her prescription that her Membranous Nephropathy had spontaneously gone into remission.

Today, Ira is dedicated to helping patients, particularly those with autoimmune disorders, while also effectively assisting individuals suffering from metabolic syndromes such as Type 2 Diabetes, Hypertension, Obesity, PCOS, and Fatty Liver.
