Sixty years ago, Mississippi State and Loyola met in the second round of the 1963 NCAA Tournament. The journey to that matchup, however, was anything but easy in a nation and in a sport still battling with racial segregation. “The Game of Change” required two competitive, daring programs, a cunning escape from Mississippi, and a willingness to challenge convention.
