When We Don’t Want to Hear It | A Prayer

Loving God,

Sometimes something reaches us—

and we begin to close ourselves off.

Not because it isn’t true,

but because of what it might ask.

Give us the courage

to remain open a little longer—

not rushing to accept,

but not turning away too quickly either,

trusting

you are leading us

more fully into life.
