And man, we're getting closer and closer to the NBA season. Starting Swiper. I can't wait for some basketball. I think this is going to be an extremely fun season. But a lot that happened this week with the choir investigation coming to the close, all that stuff. And forget this would be a good time to talk about the teams that we feel like improved and also maybe regress from it. Let's start off with the teams that we think improved. Who's the first team today that you think improved the most this off season? What a question. Who's the most this off season? I mean, is the easy answer for some people Minnesota? Because of adding Lamello.

2:05I didn't try to thinkominga, but I don't love their front court. Like I don't love the fact that they're smaller now. Their rebound is going to be worse. I mean, this is tough, man, because I'm sitting here trying to think even just really like via the draft. I guess Philadelphia's the easiest answer. But they feel it's probably the easiest answer. So Philly ads, obviously, Jaylen Brown. He obviously made second team all in the year last year. They had the Piazz LeBron, they had Dean Wade. Anthony Simon's nice shooter for them. Yeah, bylaw in the draft. Yeah, I mean, that's easy, I guess. I guess something such a can be one just because like the sheer talent that they added. And I don't want to be I don't want to get on Philly's bad side. So I'll just go ahead and say they had it the biggest names. So that's probably the biggest easiest answer for number one.

3:08Then I mean, then if you're going off names, Miami with the honest. Well, that's what I'm saying, bro. Like I think Miami, if you told me. I mean, Miami added clay and Tim Hardow with junior on top of that. And Bobby Porter's too is almost I think he is a 40% three point shooter almost for his career. So yeah, Bobby Porter's junior as well. Like I like I like Nick Richards signing for them too. Like I know he's a he's a flawed center. But like at this point, he's like the third big and he's still a guy that can get you a double double W if you play in 15 plus minutes. Yeah, you know what? I'll say the heats one because they had they got Yannis. Obviously, I just think I'm not going to lie to you. I mean, I think the heat might just be better in a playoff and a half court playoff setting. Then the 76ers right now, I think bam and Yannis, it's going to be a nightmare for a beat and brawn. Like it could be neither. Especially if you beat 100% healthy. If in B show up to the playoffs like he did last year, then yeah, it's my.

4:08It could be bad. Now, will they be able to spread them out? Like New York did probably not, you know, like they were just able to move the ball so fast and then be just wasn't able to keep up at all. So yeah, I mean, I would say Miami's number one for me. The Miami's one. Yeah, filling number two or Minnesota number two. I'll put filly number two. Well, this is tough, bro, because I guess for you, when you think about like getting better, like what are you projecting when you're saying that? Because I also think that did you talk jazz on that list for me? They didn't, they're basically adding JJ plus Laurie who were there last year, but we know what they were doing. Yeah, then they added Darren Peters. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, you can, you can count in rookies and I thought I also think like for the first time, it's hard to gauge what the Utah jazz because like you said, they've been tanking for so long. Yeah. But they have talent on their roster. So it's like now that they actually there's going to be more benefit for them actually trying to win basketball games.

5:10Like they've always had talent on their roster. But like you said, we've known the plan that they have their ace Bailey had a solid rookie year. He can take another step. You know, somebody I love Bryce Sensible. He's going to be like the third guard though, like fourth guard, maybe depending on where they play some player. So like they're definitely a really good team. And I think just by direction, they've improved. So like you can, we can also include like just the direction of the team. I think when you, when you get to that part over, there's, there's some teams that improved their direction just by like front office changes, a couple of a minor, you know, roster tweaks and stuff like that. Like, you know, you can make that, that conversation that argument. Where do you break the Lakers at with this though? Because they could, they've revamped the roster more around Luca. Is it was their goal? They had a Walker Kessler, Quentin Grimes, Colin Sexton, Jayden Hardy, Kavon Looney, Matisse Thible. They added up my mood. Who I really like on that. They kept Austin Reeves like, where do you rank the Lakers in the improved teams? I mean, losing their best player in the playoffs last year in LeBron. And then on top of that, like, they lost Rui.

6:16Shoot, they lost an art. They replaced them with Quentin Grimes, Jake Lureria, Walker Kessler and Sandra. I don't know if they're bet. They're good again, but I don't know they're actually better from a basketball standpoint. Now Luca, now he needs to play in a playoffs next year. I mean, that's without a shadow of a doubt. I mean, because this is now we're going to go on year three where he's like banged up or just, you know, dealing with some stuff or whatever. I think he definitely needs to be available for them to be, they can perform better because he's on the floor. But I think if Luca was there this last year, I think it's the same result. Like, I think they walk the Houston Rockets. And then I think they get into the Thunder series and they get walked. So I do think that if they're healthy, they're going to have a much better defensive center. Also having Looney on the floor is going to matter because he's a bigger body that can rebound super well. They can also pass on drill to five if they want. And then they're going to be five out. And then you add the athlete with camp car and, you know, let's see what obviously a.

7:18A do the role does this next season obviously because they're looking forward to his athleticism and the pop and the rim running and transition. And then they got my T-stival. They should be. They might be better. I think they got better. I think they're a deeper team. I think they got better. I think the frontline defense walker, I think the word of walker, Crestly Defensive, I just think that he's been held back. Somebody that by the team sitting them out and, you know, in the tank in there. I don't know if he's going to be worth what all they gave up for him, but I still do like him. Quentin Grimes, a player that can absolutely ease a two way player, not a great defender, but, you know, he's going to give that effort. I like what I like with the Lakers did. I'm not saying I love it, but I do like what the Lakers did as far as in my mood. I think my mood can have a breakout season for the Lakers. Well, my mood is a really good player. He, he actually is somebody that I know a lot of Lakers fans weren't super excited to sign. But if you look at it like how he plays and like the numbers when my mom will cut his Veeley is playing with the Raptors, he's a really good shooter.

8:20He shot 71% of the rim last year, 47% for mid range, short mid range and 50% from long mid range, low volume. But 39% from three this last season and then on top of that, like he was a plus six. He was on the floor. The defense was also a plus four when he was on the court last year. Like he actually is a player that can fit in a scheme fairly well. And so, you know, he was a plus six relative for shooting last year. Like he's just a type of player that like if you have them on the floor from a space thing standpoint, it works. And he won't compromise your defensive scheme as much. He's not like a traditional like rim protector and all that, but he's physical. He's big and he's going to try. So Luca, mom, Ubro with Reeves, Walker, like they're going to get him up next year. You know, they obviously will go quick and grimes. I'm curious to see if they play a dueling that lineup at all. But yeah, I think that they'll definitely feel different. But just like not having LeBron's going to make a difference though.

9:22Having a third ball handler that was that good. That could be your offensive initiator if need be. And also the all ball monster that LeBron is. There will be different. This could feel more like a traditional Lucatine, like 2022, 23, right? Where he's just going to put up 34 points game. You know, he's probably going to average nine, eight and a half rebound. It's probably an average nine assist this next year. Austin Reeves on average 26, 25, maybe 27. And both of them are going to get him up. And they both should have high assist count. Austin Reeves should also average like six and a half assists next year. Can I get the type of team to take a nice statistical leap next year for sure? Absolutely. Well, they'll have rim runners and they're also going to have three point shooters as well. So I mean, the Lakers are going to be tough to play every night. They might not be like an upper echelon team, but they're going to be a 51 team next year for me. Do you think we're overlooking the Toronto Raptors at all after the quiet, the quiet trade goes through? No, I just, I guess that's what I'm saying. Like the Raptors are a part of that list. The heater reported that list, the 76ers are reported at list. I think the jazzer in that list, you know, we can add the Lakers into that as well.

10:25The disperse get better, which is by his Harris and then adding terrorist read in the draft. They could, but I got them marked as a possible. Like if this was a spades and it's possible for them in Atlanta, I got as possible. I think they both could have proved quite a bit. Yo, the Hawks could be their deep and style this next year. They're going to have C. Ted McCallum, Nikola Thunder Walker, Dyson Daniels, Jalen Johnson, Anika Kong, Wilkinson Flimmings, Lou Dort, Ann Wiggins, and Jaclyn Dale and Gay. They added two proven championship pieces for almost nothing. Swipe. For almost nothing they added those guys. Yeah, I'm not going to lie to you. They, uh, they're going to be pretty nice this next year. They got Wiggins and Dort over there too. Yeah. With flimmings. I'm not going to lie. They they could be real nice next year. If it all comes together for the well, so where today, uh, what was the standing? Let me see the standing class. They're six last year in the East and 46 games. Okay, they finished six. I mean, the East is better now, but like technically, they could finish six and still be a better team

11:31than last year with how the East is improved. Yep. I agree with that. Actually, yeah, I think the Hawks are definitely on this list for me. Yeah. Yeah. All right. So next up, we're going to be talking about teams that we think were aggress the most. This, this, this all season being a little bit less positive about it. A lot on game night coming up next. All right, Swiper. So we've talked about the teams that improved the most. Let's flip that and talk about the teams that were dressed the most. I accidentally going to throw it out here because this is just the easy one. And we can move on and talk about the other teams, the Milwaukee Bucks.

13:33It's easy. Like the Milwaukee Bucks lost the honest. They didn't replace them with anybody anywhere close. I do like some of the young players that got back. But if you're talking about just pure regression, Milwaukee Bucks regress the most. Yeah. No, you honest, obviously. Now they got better from like a depth standpoint because they had it so many different players, but yeah, the top end talent is not going to be the same. Tyler hero, hopefully he's going to be able to get back on like a little all in B a all star run that he was on last year. Ryan Rollins, Jaime Huckis Jr. Kyle Kuzba mouse Turner, Nate, I meant braiding berries. Clillware, Yaku Jonas, like Yaku Jonas rather. Yeah, they're going to be like worse, but they're going to be competitive as well. But they definitely got worse for me. I feel like Denver's the easy answer for a lot of people because obviously Peyton Watson's gone. You know, not having like that winged up. Well, they replaced the winged up, not having Peyton who has the potential to become like a high level role player and or star in this NBA.

14:34I think it's going to matter for them quite a bit, but they're definitely on the list for I think for a lot of people in terms of teams that got worse. The Clippers got worse obviously. No, Kauai. And this is not to be disrespectful at all, but replacing a first team all in B a for me last year, Kauai littered with Brandon Ingram. I think it's a very big drop off. They still have Bradley Beal who came back and signed this year. I do think adding Rui Hachimura is like a good pick up and a good replacement in particular for John Collins. But they're definitely worse than the last season in a similar capacity. I mean, Clippers now with what's happened. Their direction is just so questionable how they're going to rebuild any value in that that team. I'm so I know they're going to get what two first round picks back. I think in the quad trade if it stays the same, but I'm not having five first round picks. That's that's going to hurt man. That's caught a lot. No, that's that's that's crazy.

15:35Unfortunately, I mean, they put it on themselves obviously, but it's just nuts. Another team that got worse this off season. How do you feel about Detroit? I don't think Detroit got worse. Like, I mean, Jalen Duren has to resign. I actually, I'm not a big fan of John Collins as a player, but I do think John Collins in a front court with Jalen Duren. I like the balance there. So I don't think Detroit got worse. I don't think they're going to win 60 games again. That's because the East is deeper, but I don't really think they got worse. I want to I'll flip this one into you because like this is a team that I've gone back and forth on. How do you feel about the Charlotte Hornets? They lost the star power on the mellow, but I don't know like I feel like they could be the sons in the East this season. How like the sons lost the star power on Kevin Duren, but they were a better team this year than what they were the last year they had Kevin Duren. I like so many pieces of this team. And I love Nasrida acquisition. I love what they did in the draft. I think Brandon Ningen, I mean, I'm not Brandon Ningen. Jesus Brandon Miller can take a big leap this year, but I don't I don't think they regress that much overall as a team. I could see them being about the same as they were last year.

16:35So they're them losing the mellow matters. Obviously because he was they were a plus nine when he was on the floor. The last season there is a plus five, you know, net swing. You know, I think some of this is he was averaging 23 assists points per seventy five possession, which is 95% tall. Yeah, I mean, crazy. He was also had an on ball percentage for 42%. So that's a lot of like possessions, a lot of passes and he was averaging three point six rim assist per like percent five last year. So this sucks for a playmaking creation standpoint. But I have continued to say this will continue to say Kobe Whiting's a better score than he is. Now Kobe cannot pass like a little can pass like, but Kobe is good. And Kobe can get to it. And when Kobe gets when he gets to going score wise there, and I know, I don't

17:37know how many people really watching with the when he was on Chicago, because Chicago we were such a bad basketball team. But like when Kobe gets into that rhythm scoring, there aren't that many players better than him scoring wise. Like that's just a pure go out and get a bucket Kobe. He is some beautiful basketball when he gets in that rhythm. Yeah, just remind people Kobe White got player in a month in March, 2025. Uh, and I want to say over that month was he averaging, he was averaging what 38 28, 28 points of game. He was 26 and six, crazy. Like the lazing hot and Kobe is faster than you think he is. He bigger than you think he is. He's stronger than you think he is. He's more explosive than you think he is. And he will speak of. And that's the things that you talk about matter because like also positionally, he's a really good rebounder. And with his speed, that means that he can rebound and just start the fast break. They don't have to wait to outlive pass to guard. He just starts the fast break. And with this team that they have there, I can see them using that a lot as far as it benefit to their offense and getting out and attacking the

18:39defense before as a chance to set. Yeah, man. And then on top of that, they obviously added Christian Anderson, Dennis Schroeder, also played for them. They got a bunch of guards, con, Grayson. I mean, they're still going to average 44, 45, three to gain Steinbach. I'm saying I'm going to start next to Noddra. Yeah. I mean, I got him in over 40 and have game texture. That's, that's me and my little chill and I have a little tie bet on a couple of things next year. He has the Washington Wizards at 47 and a half. We didn't mention them in terms of who got better too. He has the Wizards maybe making the free seat next year. The three C. I got to talk to you haven't talked to chill in a while. I'm going to have to talk to you. Yeah. Yeah. Well, he got big on Anthony Davis and trade young and all that. See that. And that's the thing that I'm worried about. Like I like a lot of the Wizards roster. I do worry about because the last time we saw a trade on a roster with young players, they were better with him off the court. That's part of the reason Atlanta traded. Yeah, people hate to hear that. But I'm just going to say, okay, because this is not coming from me. I have been sourced with some crazy stuff the other day.

19:42I would never say, but I will say when people tell you about Jalen Brown and then on off, just no, it is not just fans. These are coaches in front of people who look at this stuff and tell you, we don't believe that this player makes it that much better when he's on the floor. Trey young, the hawks handed him over for a bag of glue, a bag, not a, not a bottle, a bag of glue that like it doesn't do anything. They traded him because they do not believe he affects the winning and the culture for them to enough of a degree where you can just replace them with like, hey, we got Nick Hill and we have CJ now and we have Dort and we have Dyson. This actually fits what we want to do way more than trade young and trade on making $48 million a year. Yeah. So this is, and again, Anthony, we got traded for nothing, but he's also hurt. And he's also has some injury. He had injury issue plus he needs a contract. Now they can put it together, but like the NBA is betting that they're not going

20:42to be able to do that. I personally think that worst next year, there's a world where they're not worse. The 17 stitches aren't worse, but they're very disappointing. Jimmy. Oh, yeah, there's always a chance for that. But yeah, we'll see. But Denver definitely got worse. And so I know people are going to want to hear me say that in the comment section. I think they got worse on paper. They got worse on paper, but I don't think they regress as much as some of these other teams we talked about. Like they definitely got worse on paper. But I think as long as you have yokets, you can't put them in the same spot as some of these other teams we talked about today. The bulls get worse. The bulls got better. I agree. I think the person thing the bulls got better. Now I always try to avoid throwing my teams out there because people cry bias in this, but I think the bulls got better. I think they got considered who better, be honest. I think they got watch Caleb. Watch Caleb walk into the season with David and Mises. And you got clacks. Yeah. Yeah, especially motivated clacks to like I think clacks is going to be real

21:45motivated to prove people wrong. People forget how good clacks and was a few years ago. Mm hmm. Y'all about to be long, big and athletic. Yeah. Yeah. But we're going to finish it. What other players will we like to see return back to the NBA, even if it's not likely to talk about that on the other side of this? 23:47signed a one year deal with the Sacramento Kings. And it's so fitting that he's going to the Kings. But with that, I want to ask I figured it would be a fun way to end the show in the in the week day of game night. What other NBA player would you like to see make a return? I feel like easy, Andrew, for a lot of people at Russell Westford. Yeah. Russ is still a capable NBA player. I just think that he has a very large fan base and they don't like to. They see the production for him and are like he could still contribute. The fire is still there. He'll play with intensity as well. And I think for a lot of folks are just like, why would you not want that kind of a player under roster? Again, it's just going to consistently be the same thing as it kind of always is. Unfortunately, you know, Russ just has a certain way in any place that I think it has for organizations at least, they just don't value the fact that like he's one

24:48of the most turnover prone, worse shooting players in the league. And so they feel like his name brand is bigger than the on court players. You're getting back for a winning team. But I still think Russ can be a good player. I think Russ, if he were, I don't know, maybe not the mind, he, but maybe the mind me, he now they got all those shooters, you know, would have been a good additional ad to the roster. I mean, a lot of these teams could still use a Russell Westford that could actually go out and especially if you need a spot starter. Hey, you do that. No problem. He could give you 48 minutes of spot start. They need to be and run 100 miles an hour doing it the whole time. So I do think Russ would be a name that I would throw out there first to say, you know, we'd love to see him get an opportunity. Definitely Russell Westford. Russ Westford, like you said, that's the easy answers in this recent two, right? Like it's, I was surprised, honestly, how much the retirement of Russell Westbrook actually got to me. Like you think about how many moments that we've had and seeing Russ and everything that he did. In fact, that he went out, you know, playing his way. He always played his way and kind of forced people to adjust to the way he wanted to play basketball,

25:48right? Um, to Russ is an easy answer there and a valid one. I'm going to, I'm going to, this is going to be a controversial one. But I'll say because of what he did at Purdue and also the last season that he was healthy before he went down in Detroit before he went down and he got traded. Jane Ivy, I think still has something to give the NBA a little bit. Now he has a lot of stuff going on outside of basketball right now that's going to prevent that from happening because he's not going to be a return wise doing all that. But like I do think people forget just how good Jane Ivy was at Purdue. Yeah. He definitely needs to figure some things out in his life before he made his return back. But yeah, he's young enough where if he got back, he can be like a rotation player in the sport. For sure. So Jaden to good name. Um, I kind of wish CP three got a better end than just being dismissed by the Clippers, but maybe fittingly given how the Clippers just, you know, blew up internally a little bit. That was also, you know, you respect a player of his of his caliber who's done in really two years ago.

26:53Bro, what are you playing with us first? He was good. Yeah. And then him and Wimby had a great relationship and that was Chris Paul's age 40 season, I believe. So I think he'd be another name that I want. That's a recent player. Are you like wanting to. Players that are still within the realm of possibility to return like age wise, right? Yeah. Yeah, for sure. Yeah, CP three Russell Westbrook me. Hmm. Hmm. Yeah, that's CP three Russell Westbrook is good. I'd say. This is another sense of mental one, Lonzo ball. Lonzo ball. Like like Lonzo when Lonzo was was, you can ever say healthy. I don't think he was ever healthy, but like what he was defensively and what he is. I do think Lonzo is eventually going to get into coaching. I think that's going to happen and he should get into coaching at some point. But I think when you when you look at it, Lonzo ball is just somebody as well. Like very young and you know, his career stopped. The injuries just kept piling up in that knee. Unfortunately, but that's somebody that you just look at and like he just impacted the game

27:53in so many positive ways. We're out needing the ball a lot. He turned himself into a good shooter. One of the things he was clowned about earlier on in this career was how bad of a, how bad a shooting form was. He turned that around and turned to a really good shooter. So yeah, man. Is Monta Morse a good name? Because Monta is still only 31. And Monta is not playing the league yet. He hasn't played in the NBA since he played for Indiana last year for six games. But I want to say he was playing with Olympiacos. Yeah, he's playing Olympiacos right now. Monta is a good backup point guard. Yeah, I think that he was still be a good NBA player. He definitely I think was still a big NBA player. Lonnie Walker. He just obviously just signed over with Denver. Well, he's another one that was overseas at 27 years old. Yeah, young as Valor Chumus. Nah, he's not for him to go, bro. Do you think he's time for him to go? He just don't want to be here anymore. He wants to go play overseas. Like, you know, it's his homes over there. Like Greece loves him.

28:54He could make good money and he can play every game as many reps as he wants. You know, yeah, that's true. And then who else is a borwales his name? A mirrored titch. How does he? Nicola mirrored titch, man, he got to be about 35 now though, right? Yeah, he's 35 exactly. He probably can't play anymore, but he was also another one of those dude. That was really good. But you know, when 18, 19 his last year before he went over there, but they paid him to go over there, bro. They paid him great money to go over there and like dominate. So yeah, I mean, my table was probably the most realistic one right now. And then Lottie Walker, obviously, but Lottie Walker needs to make it the training camp. He makes your training camp. He'll be in the NBA again. Yeah, yeah, he should be in the NBA again. No, there's a number of players like you can go through and then like something you guys just won't go play overseas.
