Why Caleb Williams and the Bears are Real Contenders

0:00Oh man, the NFLness of the ways the NFL's returning slowly. It's like one of those montages in a movie where spring, you show the buds forming and the sun comes out and trees bloom. I've seen my first, the officiating crew. Referee Alex Moore, home teams are blah blah blah blah. That's a long thing and I'm going to tell you you will never get me to care about that. No, I will never care about that. If you want it, you can have it. That's like eggs, not for me. Pass. This officiating crew did this. Do not care. That is my way I'm living my life. I got a lot of brain space dedicated for all of dumb stuff. No space for that.

Unlikely to play, I think. Their secondary is turned over. And the Patriots, well, they have better pressure packages for. Let's just stop Seattle's pressure. You know, they were overmatched last year. And they're not as overmatched this year. Right. So I think Drake may could have a day where he throws for a reasonable number of yards. And the Patriots number two receiver, Romeo Dobbs being 35 and a half. I'll take that. Yeah. I. I am going to go. I'm deciding between two things here. I think I'm.

3:01I'm going to take Jerry in price over yards. I don't know what number you guys have on it. I've got 51 and a half rushing. You want to have to. Yes. That's my number. It's a big number. It's my. I think, you know, the Charbonne's out. He's hurt. I think they're going to run the ball. They're a dominant defense team. They're going to want to run it. So I'm taking price over price over him. All right. Ten bucks wins 90 on this right now. Wow. I'm not putting 10 on it. I have. Oh, okay. I don't feel good about it. No, no, no. I have a full game bet protection, I guess. It's a thing I haven't used. Congratulations. I think we might have some fun with this. Who knows. We'll see. But if New England were to find a way to win, people would be challenged immediately. I thought about my other thing. I thought about them plus three. Oh, yeah. I think they might win this game. And if they don't, I think it's going to be close. Yeah. I don't know. I mean, the sea hawks again, they lost pieces on their defense.

4:03And it's harder to keep a great defense together because you don't have the stability of the quarterback to do that for you. So, and Seattle won a lot of their games by like low scores. Their losses were only by three, too. So, you know, they're a great team last year. They got a little fortunate along the way in the RAM game. Exposed the RAM special teams. I've seen two Super Bowl picks in the last 20 minutes. Dan Arlovsky and Peter Schreger. They both picked the Rams to win it. Peter Schreger picks the Rams over the Ravens. And Dan Arlovsky picks the Rams over the Bills. Yep. I mean, picking the Rams is pretty hot right now. Sure, it's pretty easy. Yeah, a lot of people have picked the Rams. That's right. But it's a long season to stay pretty healthy. If they can stay healthy, if Booker can stay on the field if, you know, Stafford stays healthy. We'll see. We'll see. If it doesn't come out of it, if you were to be told the NFC West winner, the NFC West will not go to the Super Bowl.

5:05Who's the best pick? Because that's Rams, Seahawks, to a lesser extent. To a lesser extent than Niners, but it won't be the NFC West. Who will be there for the NFC? Yeah, the NFC North, I feel like. Oh, I was going to vision. I was going to team just team. Lions, yeah. That'll probably be my answer right now. I like them this year. I has not really a ton of other teams that I love over there. You could just see the bears potentially. I want to talk. There are two franchises. I'm going to tell you right now, yes, the bears. There are two franchises that the biggest knock against them tends to be the name of the team. And the bears are in that mix right now. They have a 25 years of being worthless. So they had a great year last year. And now they're installing more stuff. Ben Johnson, year two, Ben Johnson is a wizard.

6:06And they went big and free agency in the draft. Like they've added a lot. The bears absolutely should be in that conversation. And the other team that is always just talked about is not good enough because of the name of the team is the chargers. Well, that's the chargers. It won't happen for them. They're going to charge her. Right. Chargers are going to charge her, yeah. Right. And those aren't, to me, real things. No, they tend to pop up every year. But they're not real. The chargers are not going to not win because they're the chargers. That's not real. And one point people were saying that about the bills. That's right. That's right. And they do say about the bills. They get to the like the championship game. I guess, yeah. But for sure. Yeah, I definitely think that that can often be just a lazy. This feels like the right thing to say because it's the thing everybody says. But it's not an actual theory or, you know, there's no reasoning behind it. So I am with you both on both those teams, I think. I like Chicago a lot.

7:06And the coach wants to set the scoring record. And Williams is like really really. I'm getting him where I can in fantasy because the coach says he wants to break the scoring record. The coach, their coach is one that, you know, you're up by 10 in the fourth quarter. What's the best way to win the game to go up by 17? Right. Like that's the mindset. And it's a mindset I think more coaches should have. Especially if you have the offense to do it. Kill the game. Don't don't run it to the end of the whistle. Kill it. Kill it up 17. And the bills have been a team that has done that over the years too. Remembering games where a team thinks it's coming back and they just score again. Like no, you're not. It's over. You're not going to catch us. So it's kind of like, you know, just keep keep leaning on it. And I think the bears do that. Yeah. 803 05 50. Tonight's the night. And then tomorrow in Australia. How would you, how would you piece together entertainment for a 15 hour flight?

8:08The Rams have a 15 hour flight. Ready? 15 hours. This is a fun thing I like to do. What should we go to an airline and see what movies are being shown? Like this is what I would do. Delta entertainment right now. Like what, what in flight movies can get me through 15 hours right now? First off, I'd like to see the Odyssey, but on a small, it's kind of a small screen, huh? It's not a great. It's also probably not available. It's definitely not 70 millimeter IMAX. You're probably right about that. Yeah. All right. So if I'm flying Delta 15 hours right now, I got some options. Moral combat too. Yeah. Yeah. Maybe not. Oh, I'm going to want to what what am I bringing for 15 hours? I'm bringing, I'm deciding to watch a series I've never seen. You know, like the bingeable series episodes that everyone's got these. You, oh, I never got around to watching so and so. You got to get slow horses. It's mine right now. Yeah, slow horses. So good. I'd probably, I'd probably bust out the sopranos. I'm in a rewatch of the sopranos.

9:08You give me 15 hours on a plane today, and I would crank out 15 hours. I mean, hopefully I would sleep some. These guys all have life flat beds. You just can't get me to feel bad for your problem. That's what I'm saying. You can't get me to feel bad. Putting the entertainment together probably four hours, five hours would be sleep at some point. Which would you prefer a 15 hour flight with a life flat bed or a six hour flight without one? 15 hour with a life flat. It's close if I might be able to sleep at night. I'm going life for for me. This is especially sure. Life flat bed is you guys. I'll give you six hours, middle seat, no comfort plus, just middle seat cramped. Make it stop. Six hour red eye or 15 hours life flat. I can't, I can't. Let's stop acting like this is that big a deal if they all are able to life flat. You uttering middle seat there. You're a shunner. Middle seat. We want nothing to do with it. We can't handle that. Yeah, so I'd be cranking the sopranos.

10:10I've seen the sopranos before. I'm on a rewatch. But I don't remember anything from it, which is the best kind of rewatch. It is fun, wouldn't it? Yeah, I liked this show. I don't remember it. Yeah, I need, I need a couple of like comfort shows that I watch. Just I can watch basically not watching. Maybe some house. Do. I need a, I need a move here too. I'd also bring like, I bring a switch. Yeah. Give me, give me a new game deploy. The portable, yeah, anything like that. I got to say the, as much as Nate hasn't seen them, the Avengers movies kill time. Yeah. The last one is three hours. End game is three hours. We'll rip through a few of those. Yeah. You just got to watch that five times, you know? No. 15 hours. Meanwhile, I've said a bunch of times. I have a cousin in Melbourne and we've talked about wanting to go there. 15 hours from Los Angeles, which means like what? 21 hours from here. And we talk about going sometimes in the idea of bringing the kids, like the whole family is going to go. Donting. You offer me 15 hours life, flat myself.

11:13Or five hours with children. Man. Actually, these kids are pretty good at watching movies these days now too. Yeah. So, you know, load them up with the movie. But man, what a, what an undertaking that would be. Yeah, that, that sounds like it would be this, maybe the single greatest human accomplishment. There's been a lot of like good sound to come out of it. Drey Greenlaw asking how close they are to Antarctica. Yes. And whether or not Antarctica is real. Right. That's good. That's good. Thank you very much. Australia has crazy spiders, crazy snakes. I got crazy everything down there. Crazy everything. Kangaroos. It's home to an estimated 10,000 spider species. Yeah, man. No thanks. No. Like thanks. It's beautiful down there. I think it's a high school friend that lived down there for like a year.

12:13And she loved it. And it was amazing. But she would tell me about the horrifying animals. I don't think I would go outside. I think I would be really scared too too. And I'm not a huge, I'm not super fearful of that stuff. But that, that ecosystem there really, really, really gets me not comfy. Yeah. I'm watching like every, a YouTube video every spider in your backyard in Australia. There's a giant, like, there's ones that are like this big with like crab claws on it. I can't even think about that. I don't want to talk about it. Yeah. Yeah. Patrick and Lancaster. Hey Patrick. Hey, how's it going guys? Good. So I pretty much just wanted to say something with some of those in the paper here. I think for the species and I know that they're always playing one species. But we were really stuck. It was really fast off the line. He showed a lot of speed. And I think if they call up that George guy that we claimed off of his opponent.

13:13I mean, if you think his speed is Skyrim Bell and DJ more out there, I mean, I think that often, along with those three, are going to be absolutely dangerous. Maybe I don't think Bell's going to be active early in the season. But he looked pretty good in the one game. No, early on, it'd be surprised. But I thought he looked good. I mean, I was happy. He definitely showed a lot of speed. I think he's going to be a big part of this off. I'm coming up right away. But down the middle of the end of the season, if somebody gets injured, you know, that's it. I think he's going to show us a flag. Yep. And then my other take out of the papers. I know how a buck is one of the greatest goalies in the NHL. But what I want to trade from. But if they're going to try and get a lot from us, you know, why not try and move out and see what Ottawa is offering for, you know, all Mark again. You know, I think he's got a lot better stuff left for us. And he might be cheaper. I mean, look what he did in Ottawa in Boston. Thanks, Patrick. I mean, all Mark, he's battled some things here.

14:15Yeah. You know, and it's, if I would, I would not put all Mark in the group of goal tenders that gets you out of not knowing whether your goalie is going to be good or not. If nothing else, just purely injuries, he's been hurt a ton and doesn't play through anything. And he's not played all the time throughout of what. And that really hurt them. And when he has played, it's been up and down. Boston, he was great. But it was because he was insulated by a guy that's frankly better in swimming. Yeah. And so I wouldn't have a ton of interest in bringing him back. I like him. He's good goalie. I don't know that I'm just interested in. He's had a couple of bad years. And it's been a couple of bad years and there's baggage. His, his saber percentage was 891 last year. He was one of the greatest players. Get a great playoff. Yeah, his playoffs were unbelievable, but his regular season was one of the worst in the leaks. Maybe history. Extendosports on the way and then off to the opener.
