Why God Allowed the Rebellion

The hardest question this weeks episodes raise: why did a perfect God create the most magnificent being ever made, allow that being to rebel, and permit the consequences to produce every atrocity in human history?   This episode answers it without minimizing the cost. And the eternal purpose -- grace given in Christ before the ages began, the Lamb slain before the foundation of the world. The cross was not plan B.   The new creation of Revelation 21-22 is not a return to Eden. It is better than Eden in a specific way: it knows what genuine devotion looks like under genuine pressure, and it knows that the love held.
