Why We Slowed Down (On Purpose)

About this episode

For the first time in a while, it's just me on the mic — no guest, just an honest update. This episode marks a shift for The Inspired Choice: we're moving to a new weekly rhythm, with fresh interviews every Monday, a returning Classic episode every Wednesday, and a solo reflection from me every Friday. I'll also share a quiet update about our move to a new hosting platform this past August, and a reminder that we're still welcoming new guest applications — through PodMatch or directly at inspiredchoice.today. If you've ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes of this show, or why the pace is changing, this one's for you.

Hello and welcome back to the Inspired Choice. I'm Caroline and before we dive into today's conversation, I want to take a few minutes with you, just you and me, to talk about some changes happening on this show. Because I think you deserve to know not just what is changing but why. If you've been listening closely over the past few weeks, you've probably already noticed something. We've moved to one episode a week, released every Monday. And I want to be honest with you about that shift because it wasn't made lightly.

For a long time, this show ran on a rhythm that served the growth of something. Reach, frequency, momentum. But rhythms should serve the people they're meant for, not the other way around. And what I found, the more I sat with this podcast and everyone who has walked through it, nearly 1100 of you now as guests, is that depth matters more to me than volume. I would rather bring you one conversation a week that actually changes something in you than several that simply pass through. So here's what the new rhythm looks like starting now. Every Monday you'll get a new interview episode, a real conversation with someone whose story, whose choices, whose way of seeing the world has something to offer you. Every Wednesday we're bringing back a classic episode. One of the conversations from earlier in this show's life that I believe deserves a second life, a second listen. Some of you are newer to this podcast and there are gems in the archive you've simply never heard.

Some of you have heard them and I think you'll hear something different in them now at a different point in your own life. And every Friday I'll be with you solo. No guest, just me, reflecting on something that's been on my mind, something from the week's conversations, something from my own path. These are the episodes where I get to simply talk with you the way I might if we were sitting across from each other with two cups of tea. I also want to mention something behind the scenes. In mid August we moved this entire show to a new hosting platform. If you didn't notice anything different, good. That was the whole point. It was a completely smooth transition and I'm genuinely grateful to everyone who helped make that happen quietly without disrupting a single episode landing in your feed. And one more thing for anyone listening who has ever thought, I have a story that belongs on this show that door is still very much open.

We are still accepting guest applications either through podmatch or directly through our website at Inspired Choice. Today under Become a guest. If something in you has been waiting for permission to raise your hand, this is it. Thank you truly for your patience and your understanding as we've found this new shape for the show. I know change can feel unsettling even when it's good change. But I believe this new rhythm will let us go deeper together and that has always been the whole point of this podcast. Until Monday, wishing you continued inspiration. This is Angus Maximus. This partner has one pound of a pound of hot. She'll see cooked to water Angus speed. It's more fish than a quarter pounder. The battle is closed. And for only 599 even regular dudes can afford it. Like that guy. Give me that big old burger.

Yeah. The whole Angus Maximus. Only 599 is whole senior. A bill for a limited time of participating restaurants. Tax not included. Not valid for use within a combo or in combination with any other offer or discount.
