Will Ospreay Starts A New Empire | In The Weeds 9/3/26

0:00It is Thursday September 3rd. It is time to get in the weeds. I'm Jeremy Lambert. Two things. Big show, big series. There will be it. JYP match for 2 September 5th grotesque game, sponsored by FD During Jeremy and SP3 last night's cinema was great. In my opinion, but this morning I'm only wondering one thing.

1:00SP3 did the feds take down your YouTube page if they did. I'm forever done with these mofos. Those mofos, I saw this this morning, SP3, and I felt terrible for you that the True Hill Heat channel got hacked and I know it's a pain to try to contact anybody on YouTube to try to get this resolved, but if you want to give everybody an update of what's going on there. So how it went was I received the email about some sponsorship thing for YouTube and through that email it asked for my information or got in touch with my information because I didn't even put it in. So I got my YouTube information and hacked my Google account, the True Hill Heat Google account, and then hacked the channel, then basically changed all the recovery information.

2:01So the recovery email, anything like backup codes it put in that I don't know, pass key that I don't know they put in, they changed the password as well. And then I see like an hour of trying to recover the Google account, they posted like a scam crypto live stream on the True Hill Heat YouTube channel and like an hour into that whole stream, the channel was then gone and it disappeared off of YouTube. So I've been working nonstop. I've freaking have experience. People are trying to scam me for money to try to get the account back. I've had to deal with the recovery process a million different times and there's just no way because they don't give you like a form or anything to fill out if your recovery information has been changed. So you're just going through the same thing over and over again and that's very disheartening

3:02as well. Trying to get in contact with an actual human being at Google or YouTube the entire night a barely slept, a slept maybe three hours because I woke up this morning and just immediately started trying to get back again and started going through the different processes that I had. Luckily I have made some progress just a little bit of thanks to Chase Oliver, one of the great people in our community over at True Hill Heat and someone that helps us out with content for True Hill. He sports an entertainment. He was a YouTube red member. So he's put me in contact with a Google specialist and the Google specialist sent me an email this morning where I was able to fill out a form basically explaining everything that happened all the steps that went into my YouTube channel being hacked and being taken down. So I was able to fill out that form, able to email them back and let them know that I filled out the form. So now I just have to wait to see what they say.

4:04I am still staying diligent and annoying as hell to anyone and everyone at Google and YouTube and trying to get in contact with somebody because they don't have any humans that man these very large platforms and it is very disheartening and very heartbreaking to see like eight years of my life and my hard work almost seem like it was just gone completely. I was very depressed yesterday. I'm a little bit better today. Still emotional talking about it, but I'm going to be trying to maintain myself, try to talk about wrestling and stuff like that for the temporary plan for the time being. I'm not going to stop doing content because I don't know how. So luckily we do have the True Hill Heat Sports and Entertainment YouTube channel. So AE Ramble, True Hill Heat, tomorrow Sunday night, to main event preview, we'll all be on that channel or second channel. So if you're not subscribed over there, it's a great time to subscribe.

5:05We do a bunch of great stuff outside of the wrestling world over on that channel, but now we're going to have to put our wrestling content on that channel for the time being until we're able to find some way to get it back. I'm just trying anyway. So if anyone has any contact information for a Google specialist or a YouTube specialist, anyone where I can either talk to somebody or fill out a form explaining what happened, those are the two best things to do right now. That's all I can say. I was going to say if anybody in our chat knows anybody or knows anybody that knows anybody, please reach out to SB3 and send as much help and information as you can. We were talking a little bit off air and I mentioned Sean has dealt with some stuff as far as losing the channel so he might have some contacts there. It's a big community when people need help. A lot of times we do see people step up to help friends in the community.

6:07I hope that's going to be the case here. You're welcome to stream as much as you want on this channel as well. I don't care. I know you trust you. Do what you want to do on this channel. It does not matter to me. But yeah, I hope everything gets resolved. I can't imagine that what you're going through and I know it sucks and I know it's tough. If you want to talk to event, you know what it's about when it comes out on that. But YouTube sucks. When it comes to this stuff, man, like that in Twitter, I just don't understand how awful that these major websites are when it comes to security and helpfulness when people lose their accounts or in any type of way, whether it gets hacked, whether it gets scammed, whether they get hit with a content strike that they shouldn't get hit with, whether it

7:08gets reported, where it shouldn't. I do not understand how these bigger companies don't have because you would think that they're dealing with this every single day because I feel like something like this happens every single day with this many people that are on the platform. You would think they would have better measures in place to help people who do go through this, but they don't because that probably costs more money and they don't care about paying people. They just care about their bottom line on these things. I'm sorry, buddy. So better just deal with it, stream on the other channel. Yeah, I'm just hoping to talk about wrestling for the next two hours. Hopefully I can feel better. My mind has tried to balance it and not think about it too much, play with my kids, do some stuff, work focus on work. But it's just really stressful.

8:09Stressful. I was definitely a lot more disheartened yesterday than I am today. I just have a hard time. It's my first time talking about it on camera. Oh, shit, I'm sorry. No, it's okay. It was just, yeah, I just felt like eight years of my life. I was just like, God. Yeah. No, again, I can't even imagine. And so if anybody can help SB3, I mean, everybody on this show obviously knows you and knows how hard you work and knows what you bring just to the community in general. So hopefully people will be able to contact some people. Somebody is out there that is willing to help because I will forever put over SB3. And I'll just as a content creator and somebody with a with a high work ethic and somebody who just gives a lot to the community. I'll just put them over as a great friend and a great person. One of the kids was watching the beginning of Dynamite last night. You know, they're showing the video package with the all in recap and the kid sees Osprey and he's just like, oh, because his hair is so red. And my wife is like, yeah, his hair is blonde. And he just goes, I get to take some a second to like put together and he's like, oh, he was, it was very like, oh, wow. I guess, I guess they bleed that much and they bled so much it turned his hair from blonde to complete red. But, you know, if he was watching WWE, be like, why does face digitized?

14:22Why can't they show this face? So you get, you get the different type of like revelation. Oh, okay. There's blood. That's why your pixel. Oh, it's because of the blood. That's why his hair is red. Yeah, we, I actually for goat man series series that me and Jimmy do on our Patreon, the true hill heat Patreon. We watched, you know, the greatest match of all time. So I was like, all right, we're starting a new season. We're going to start off with this match up. So I re, I finally watched Omega and Osprey on TV instead of my live perspective, being in the press box. And man, I appreciated it even more. Even, even Jimmy, even Jimmy said that's the match of the year. Look at Jimmy. Wow. You know you got something when you get Jimmy to come around. Yes, yes, yes, he even was able to get over it. 15:26price of a mission. Oh, it's so, we didn't, we didn't fully talk about it because we talked about so much, but I tweeted about it last night and actually did well. But I popped so much way like hands in the flag and they just walking away like not in and smile. Like this is just a man who's rocking out to Bobo Riley as it plays in the background. I was like, I got no choice but to respect that. People like, why is Moxley doing like Bobo Riley's play? What do you mean? What is Moxley doing? He's hiding. He's hiding. I, I hope Sean is able to tell the story of these entrances and and how they came together. I'm not a scoopster. I will, I will give scoops that aren't scoops until you realize their scoops. I know some like details on these entrances and and how it how close to to a to show time. It took to get these things together and how they almost did not come together.

16:30When those stories come out, people are going to be even more impressed with how, how it all works. I do have a story. Okay. I do have a story because remember what I said on, what was it Monday? I said, I have a funny Michael Kuh story. So I walk out, we were walked out late. Jeremy knows why we were walked out late from the media scrum after the pandemic. After the show, me and Adrian Hernandez. So we're walking with the PR guy. We're like talking to him and stuff. And then we're walking out of the Wembley Stadium from the back way. And you know, it's the same way that the wrestlers are coming out. So all of a sudden I hear someone behind me and be like, you didn't ask Tony about how, how I was here. How I was here. And I was just like, wait, what? And then I looked to my left. I see this beautiful young lady in a long pink bedazzle dress that's hanging in the jeez hole. And I see another gentleman looking sharp with his rolling, rolling bag.

17:30And of course, that is Michael Kuh and Amira. And I just give them a big hug. I'm like, oh my God, I haven't seen them since the eve of Wrestle Queen of the show. I give them a big hug. And I was like, I can't tell you how much I pop for you. And I just started just going off. I was like, man, you killed it on Saturday at rep row. I was like, but Amira, I'm mad at you for not doing the white chicks dance. How you going to let them beat you in the talent show at eve like that, man? You let them do the white chicks. She was like, I didn't know they were going to bust that out. And then Mike's telling me, I was like, man, I can't tell you how happy I was to see you. You know, we just talked about when I saw him at the Eve show. I was like, talking about like, man, they just need to sign you. Well, I thought this would have been done already. He was like, dude, I wasn't even supposed to be in that whole thing. He was like, will put that whole thing together. He was like, I was just backstage, you know, hey, you know, it will. It was like, hey, I need you for this. And it just came together that way. Yeah, there's, there's some stories again.

18:31When it all comes out, people are going to be very impressed with how close, how close it all got done to show time. And it wasn't like it was a, oh, they waited to the last minute to try to do this. It was, they were planning this for a couple of weeks. And they just had to get clearances and they had to get things edited and just flights and stuff. It was, it was nearly a disaster. And I don't want to say like it would have been like the end of the world. And I'm sure they would have piece something together. I don't know if it would have been as good as what ended up working out. But it got complete pretty close when it comes to both of them, by the way. I've learned a little bit about both entrances and just how it didn't get done until just before it got done with everything. And again, hopefully Sean, Sean's the scoops, or he'll give stuff on that one day. And then maybe I'll expand upon it a little bit more, whatever he doesn't, he doesn't

19:35say. Maybe I can say a little bit more about it. But yeah, the fact that they pulled it off the way they did was was really, really incredible, given, given the circumstances. I've watched it just a number of times of just like it's one of those entrances. I love watching entrances because they're so like the moment of the entrance, like the pop and everything. And they're shorter than matches. I don't want to sit through like a 50 minute match. I can just watch it five minutes. But like two, two entrances that like I'll just watch every single time when I see them is moxley and Eddie at Daily's place when the fans first come back. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And it's wild thing playing like I'll watch that shit. Like that's such a good entrance to me and punk it first dance. If I come through like I'll just watch that like it's I'll watch that every every now and then because that's like one of like the most iconic this one is my favorite because

20:35I've been like debating with different people most notably Phil Lindsay, but we have helped feet debates. I'm like some other people who were reacting to him. So he even like said something like why are people getting so weird? I'm like I'm not getting weird. I was like to each is oh bro. He was like no, it's everybody else. I was like, oh, but yeah, he was like comparing it and saying it had similarities to like Cody at SummerSlam 2024. I saw. I will go ahead. Sorry. No, I was just going to say someone else was like, oh, the video reminded them of C. I'm punk at this year's WrestleMania. And then I forget the other one that oh, Sammy Zayn at WrestleMania 40. And I was like, yeah, the WrestleMania 41 is memorable because of the whole scene with Gabel, then him meetings Kevin Owens right before the staging, but I feel like that's different from what Will did. And then the Cody, the Cody one is just had to go back and look at that and be like,

21:37what did you see that I didn't see because this is just a thing to do with a dog walk and then meeting up with his mentor. I was like, it's not the same. This is where it feels like the track suits. I was like, oh, clothing. I was like, I teach his own. I can't. I'm not even going to debate. I was at SummerSlam 2024 and I couldn't tell you this insurance was memorable. I was into the stadium for this. And when people, I saw the same point you did with like comparing entrances. And when people say Cody SummerSlam 2024, I'm like, people like look back on that as something special, like really? I know. I never did. That was the first time I rewatched it since summer's 2024. I was just really confused. I was like, that has nothing really to do with what Will did. Will sold a love letter. He gave a roadmap of his whole career.

22:38I made the point to someone else. I think it was like, big nicker, someone like that. And I was just like, this was more of like a freaking TV show. I was like, it's more of like wonder years or like shameless. I was like, the shameless, how was it reminded of shameless? So I've watched the UK shameless and the UK shameless. It starts off with a montage of Frank telling about his kids. So that's why I related that to to Will's mom doing the whole the whole speech about his whole journey and how much he's grown and everything. I was like, it's more akin to that. And then the wonder years point was I remember this, their seasons of wonder years where Kevin will at the end of the season, he'll walk down his school hallway and he'll see, oh, that was the girl that I did this one episode with where I thought I had a crush on her, but I really love Wendy. Oh, here's Wendy over here. Oh, my brother's right here. He's like seeing everybody that led to his path to end the season and that's what Will did. I was like, it's more like a TV show than any other entrance that people tried to compare it to to me. Yeah.

23:38Yeah. The Cody one is is pathfully. Honestly, again, I was there. I felt nothing. I'm not like the biggest Cody fan in the world or anything. I feel like if I was at the stadium for all in, I got, I felt something watching Osprey's entrance at home. So I feel like definitely in the stadium, I would have, I felt more on Roman came back at SummerSlam. I was like, that's the entrance, the memorable entrance, right? Dude, I, I, I, I, Cody. When people said the punk video from, from WrestleMania, I was like, oh, okay, but I don't remember that. I just remember head of the table came back. Da da da da da da da. Yeah. I just remember I got so high. I was like, I don't, not that BS, I have greatness remixed the real theme. Yes. Bad Bunny, my wife mentioned is the bad bunny Puerto Rico entrance one. That's another one where like it becomes, I'm watching that every, every single time, like no matter what. I mean, this Osprey one is so, so good. But it's probably my number one.

24:40Like I'm not ready to say Omega Osprey is like, I said, it's the greatest match I've ever seen live, but I'm not ready to say it's the greatest match I've ever seen. I still think, okay, okay, Omega, I don't know, I don't know what, what, what, what a wrestler could do to top that for me. Okay, Omega for is like a movie. And it's a, it's such a just a riveted tale that tells the story of their whole rivalry to three previous matches and then culminates in this big triumph of victory for one of my favorite wrestlers of all time. For 69 minutes, yet I've watched it like three, four times and it never felt the length that it says it is. So like I don't know how one match up can do that for me, but this is the closest that I've gotten like live live. It was Brian and Swerve before that, but I wasn't ready to kind of put it on the like, oh, that's one of the greatest matches I've ever seen. I did say after watching Omega and Osprey, I was like, that's the top five match I've ever seen by like, I was like, I'm ready to give it.

25:40I gave it on the review on Monday. I gave it six stars. I've only given it to four other matches before that, the six star, the full star. I usually go plus five plus, but I will give the extra star for a match up that I feel deserves to be in that upper echelon before that. It was Austin Brett from WrestleMania 13, then like what 20 something years later, it's Okada and Omega four from Dominion 2018, Osprey and Omega from Russell Kingdom 17, and then Brian and Osprey from Dynasty 2024. And then this one, those are my five greatest matches I've ever seen. It's a check plus plus match, which counts more than your six stars in my pants. I'm just kidding. No, it doesn't at all. It absolutely doesn't. And you are much better at the matrating stuff than me. That's why I designed a much simpler system. So I don't have to defend half a star or a quarter star when it comes to things. Just group everything in one little category there.

26:43We can jump into Dynamite to kick things off here, since we're on the subject of EW. You pop me so much Alexa plus gamer. I prefer. I prefer the WrestleMania entrance when he comes out of the box like structure. That's just hilarious to me. Yes. From from from from from from. Yeah. They just do the little like twisting stars and all of a sudden you just yield out there. And then it comes out of the box like structure rules. Dad that entrance rules more than his original entrance. The original one is good. But I love that WrestleMania entrance. All right. Let's let's get into Dynamite. It did open with the new champion will osprey coming out and saying the biggest news out

27:49of the sea. He put over Kenny Omega. He said how he respected Kenny. How Kenny is the best wrestler in the world. Still the best wrestler in the world, but on one night he had Kenny's number and he was better than him. He said it was too too. So maybe they had to do a third one with everything. He said he was going to he didn't name prior champions. He did not name MJF and I thought that was by design honestly. And then he said he was going to you know, defend the title and everything and he gave a shout out to United Empire and then get the biggest news out of this was saying he was going to create the US United Empire. So we will see what that entails in the future. And then he was interrupted by Ricochet. Ricochet mentioned that you know that I meant more to your career than these people

28:52give credit for and osprey was maybe about to put him over but then get kid interrupted and get kids said that you took being the first IWGP champion from me first English IWGP champion and the first English AEW World champion from me and now I'm going to take it from you. So what did you make of this whole thing? I know it was kind of a lot in one but would you make a whole promo? Um, we'll osprey I know we has gotten a lot of like flak and criticism in regards to his promo style and his effectiveness on his promos but the one thing that I will say that I think I always credit will osprey for he's the every bruv the every man wrestler like he talks like someone that you can meet in a bar in London and he will talk like that. I was so piss and drunk I went by I went on professional like hey let me on this plane

29:53and then I put on the glasses and I went I was like he raffles but it's just so relatable he just comes off so relatable and I was so happy that they kicked off the show with him coming out. He gets this big reaction from this Texas crowd and you know 3000 not the biggest crowd but then they were loud as hell the entire show Texas is like one of AEW's kind of staple uh checkpoints places anytime they're in Texas they have a good crowd and they get a good reaction and osprey came off like the biggest star in the company coming out to kick off the show as a world champion talking his his talk talking about him and Kenny Omega given Kenny Omega his flowers saying that he's the best wrestler teasing a possible fifth matchup between the two which if it did happen I don't know if it will but if it did happen I think that would probably be Omega just saying okay this is the retirement like yeah I don't know if he's ready to put his body through that again unless it's going to be over finito

30:56after that so maybe we can get that as like his final matchup but man it was and it's funny that his two of his greatest rivals in his whole career Kenny Omega he's now tied with so it kind of opens the door that he has to have those one final matchup with Okata and osprey now after he's lost the last two all-in's to those two guys so it's I'm really interested on when Kenny Omega is going to be back I like ricocheted coming out because ricocheted was a person that I thought and I saw lyric wrestling say the same thing that I thought that ricocheted was going to be positioned as a contender for maybe like a hangman last year when he was champion but I like him kind of putting himself in line I'm hoping that AEW takes the steps to kind of get him some signature singles victories and maybe sometime in October whether that's at wrestling dream or on the anniversary show or even Grand Slam France we can get that that title matchup maybe on free tv or maybe on the pay-per-view get osprey versus ricocheted because you know we would see later on

31:57the night they still have that great chemistry that they have together so I like ricocheted kind of being like with the MJF run you had guys like Bandito and Brody King that went from like the main event scene to like the up the mid card scene to the upper mid card fringe main event scene because they were working with MJF Darby Alice run you had guys like Tomasel Champa Ninozki to catch the pack who were in the upper mid card kind of pushing to that main event scene and having those spectacular matches with Darby Allen so I like that now Will Osprey's run is kind of similar to that you saw that with even the Kenny Omega short run that you had someone like Kevin Knight get a title opportunity I like that they are positioning some other like mid card to upper mid card guys like ricocheted like gay kid that have this strong history this strong connection with Will Osprey as potential title content contenders over what I believe is going to be a month long run that he should have and as far as you know him proposing their united empire that was very interesting because

33:01this would be this would mark the first time that AEW is doing like an official new Japan new Japan kind of faction because they did do like bullet club gold but that was very distinctly like there was a line there where you had bullet club war dogs over here and then the bullet club goad are completely different because Jay White and David Finley they don't get along their arch-nemesis with one another this is not the same thing this is his version of the bullet club and another guys version of the bullet club this is more of an extension because Will Osprey created united empire he gave it over to calivnoomin when he left new Japan and now he wants to introduce united empire in AEW I'd be very interested to see who he could potentially have in the group I would love that if this was a group that didn't just have guys in it because I feel like Will Osprey has such a good connection to woman's wrestling through pro wrestling eve and so many of the talent on the

34:01AEW roster I would love to see maybe a sky blue baby based earn where she turns against the triangle of madness and joins up with united empire of course there's the connection with him and his wife Alex Windsor the brawling birds joining up with united empire would be interesting and then there's all the young stars on the AEW roster is a nick wanes the the commanders of the world there's people outside of AEW that could potentially become free agents and come to the company that have a good connection with Will Osprey Michael O'Koo a Leon Slater count me out count me out for that so the united empire I do agree with you that was the most interesting element of this whole this whole opening scene that kind of got me intrigued and got me looking forward to what was to come and I like the fact that you know united empire had Osprey's back and we set up the main event in the opening segment this was very much like this whole episode of dynamite was for the first time that the post all in episode did in fact feel like the raw after WrestleMania it did feel like we're starting a new we

35:06started a new era we're gonna start fresh we got our new champion we're introducing new challenges we're introducing a new group we're bringing the of the current group here from new Japan so we're getting guest stars on this episode as well and we have an opening segment that sets up a match later on in the show which AEW doesn't do a lot of time so when they do it kind of stands out more so I liked all of this in the open what about you give me I really I really like the opening because as you mentioned it did it started you set up the main event you get to the main event then the main event stuff let's go get into any set of the main event for your next pay-per-view so I thought the whole kind of through line here was was very strong and I'm always going to say this because AEW was hit miss with this kind of stuff when you have a big title change and this was maybe one of the biggest in history I can name I can name the champions because yes you're absolutely right I know what you're gonna say open the show with that person make it feel like it is the most
