And he gets everybody together in the off season. And did I mention he's such a leader. Yeah. I feel like it feels like another Sam Kennedy sell job. Where like there's all this blowback on Trevor story and people like you and I didn't even want him back. Right. I guess score one for Stephen Fall River to this point. He was adamant about Trevor story and he's an upgrade and you got to get him in there. So far so good. So far so good. Score one for Steve. Can't throw the ball to first, but no, I mean, he's got to have a good first basement over there or else he's got three errors and cost you the one game you won in the Marin Series. But whatever neither here nor there, he's been more productive than I thought. Oh, definitely. What's this sell job now that all of a sudden he's some great leader? I think it is a little bit of that and you know, because it really was pretty negative out there across the board on Trevor story. He had gotten off to such a bad start. He was also the most outspoken when they got rid of Kora and went to Chad Tracy.

3:05He was all mad about it. Remember, I remember at the time being like, if you were better, Kora might still be here. You're one of the main reasons he got fired. They were expecting a lot out of you. He had a pretty productive season a year ago. Every other season prior to this, he was either bad hurt or both. It's been a horrible signing overall. But if he gives you something great, I think people were wondering, I think maybe Sam's leaning into this because it wasn't just that a lot of people didn't want Trevor's story back. It was, man, look at the vibes. The vibes are through the roof. It's a vibes team. Look at SoGuard and Monasterio and Seagulls and Gasper. This team is like against all odds. You have a lot of guys that are in between AAA and the majors, but they're making the most of their opportunity. They became a very, very likable team. I would say story had become one of the more unlikable players on the team. So I'm going to like Durand's very polarizing. Durand has his super supporters and he has his detractors. As you know, by the way, you catch Durand in the middle of the game yesterday, that F-bomb.

4:07Those are swear. At least it wasn't like a no, I should be clear. Well, actually, when I say F-bomb with him, I actually should be more clear. Yeah, that's the safest thing he said so far. F-swear, not F-slur. Correct. But, yeah, boy, that was loud. The mics were hot on that one. Yeah. Yeah. Anyway, I get your point, Durand. You know what I'm saying? That one gets sport like, there's not really supporters of Trevor's story and you're like, alright, how is this guy going to fit back in with the team? And I think, I mean, he's not going to hit 438 or whatever he has since he's been back the whole time. But, if he's productive, everybody, they'll embrace him, right? It's just like this whole team. When you're 14 games under 500, people feel certain way about you. When you go on a 15 game winning streak, they're going to feel a different way about you. So, if Trevor's story is part of the solution and the success, people will run back, open arms. We've said this. If he's your eight hitter and maybe he runs into a home run at Yankee Stadium, we'll end great. I can see that working out. I don't think he's great defensively. I don't really trust his approach at the plate.

5:08And, you know, I don't... That's not my planet shortstop. I wanted them to get a shortstop at the deadline. They didn't. I wanted them to call up areas. I don't think they're going to do that. So, I think he's your shortstop. Well, fine. He's batting eighth and maybe he runs into one in a short playout series where you need power in a home run to change his game. Fine. Don't tell me he's a leader. Yeah, I didn't. We've not gotten that. This is the same guy who hung out in Worcester a few years ago. Didn't want to be back up here. He didn't want to come back up when the team needed him. Yeah. This is the same guy who was trying to jam his way back in without even going on a rehab assignment. Right. Because he was too good to go to Scranton. This is the same guy who pouted when Alex Korra got fired. And he was wrong, by the way, I know the team's gone into a bit of a funk here recently. They are still 65 and 48 with a plus 90 run differential under Chad Tracy. You're just wrong. You're just wrong about it. So not only were you a bad leader and mopey and everything else, you were just wrong, flat out wrong. And so now all of a sudden, I gotta be sold that it's not just his bat that can help, which I can wrap my head around.

6:09Or he's an upgrade on Monasterio defensively, which trust me, he's not great defensively, but he probably is an upgrade on Monasterio. It's not just that. Now he's a leader? David Price, terrible, terrible signing overall, but 2018 is pretty huge for him. Right? See, I would say despite everything with David Price, it actually worked because of 2018. I would say, and I hate it. What if story has a big playoff? I hated lackey. I would say the same thing would lackey. Yeah, no, right. Trust me. He has it in front of him or like he can kind of salvage it a little bit. I mean, even got, I always think of like Julio Lugo and like dice K like those guys were on a world series team. So you're like, all right, if you can be a part of a really successful team, even making it to the world series. Let's say you get there and then the Dodgers kind of smack you around, whatever, but he's a big part of it. All right, we can overlook a lot of things. We can overlook the fact that you were so bad for most of your time here and you were criticizing yet the decisions that were made, which ended up being really good decisions.

9:14So that's fine. He has an opportunity in front of him. Is it crazy to say and you said Trevor's story is one of the worst contracts in franchise history? I mean, I mean, they've had a lot of bad ones. They have, but also put the more. But the more recent contracts are just so highly priced, right? So like at the time you could go back to earlier, but then when you look at it, you're like, well, that was like 15 million a year. Like who did a Lugo always stood out to me? What do you mean? Nine million a year? But like Pablo Sandevol's next level terrible. Pablo Sandevol, Karl Crawford next level terrible. Rosne Castillo, if you count it, maybe. That was a guy. He got nothing out of. I know. I might argue you she does his worst in story. Really? Yeah, they threw a bunch of money at a guy who stinks. But Trevor's story also basically forced Zander Bogart out of town. Well, okay. So this was an accident. Sorry, I got hung up on your comment that is one of the worst. It's probably still okay. I think it is. Six years, $140 million. Okay. Would you rather have that or Bogart's is deal? Oh, I don't want Bogart's. So like ironically, they could have thrown and they look, they could have.

10:16I know you're the same. They probably could have given him the same. They could have gotten to Bogart's earlier and kept him here and whatever. I that probably wouldn't have worked out very well. But what would you rather have? This deal with Trevor's story or that one with Bogart's? It's actually this one with story, although neither one's good. Five years in Boston, he has a 702 OPS hitting 245 shaky defensively. Fairly plays. Last year he was decent. I'll give you that. But that was also year four of a six year deal. So he has one more year left. Do you want him to be the starting short stop next season? No, I don't. I mean, I don't know. I mean, Sam Kennedy says he's a leader. So I guess they say they don't the captain six, one, seven, seven, seven, nine, seven, ninety, three, seven. We got your phone calls here on Jones and Keith.
