They're kicking off their game broadcast when the preseason starts on September 20th, and it's not just Willes, Pat Steinberg, who used to host the Flames broadcast, and that show Flames Talk, is also returning. He'll be hosting a new show called Flames Now, every weekday afternoon from 4-6pm, starting September 14th. They'll also be covering all the pre- and post-game action. This is a big deal, because just six weeks ago, it looked like there might be no sports radio at all in Calgary after some cuts. So, having these familiar voices back provides some much-needed continuity for the fans, especially with the team heading into a new era.
